Outstanding food, great staff. Coffee fantastic, amazing building. We had A few brisket dishes on the table and a few breakfast boards everyone was very content and the brisket was out the gate so good, also the smoked salmon was amazing 😋

We wanted to check out Miro after it’s inclusion on the Cuisine 2022 ‘Ones to watch’ list. We think it’s absolutely deserving of its place!! I called ahead to check if there were highchairs available (there were) and requested a table outside so that our 18mo could run around in the nearby park (note though that the highchairs only fit in the inside tables, so we opted to just sit her in a normal chair). The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, the coffees sensational and the food delicious and beautifully presented. We had brisket and Benedict, and rated them both as standouts. The clientele on a Friday morning was largely corporate folk, but we were made to feel a totally welcome as a family with a young child. Looking forward to heading back to try out their lunch menu.

From first entering it was a wonderful experience. A Cool morning. Beautiful wood fire burning. Greeted at the door. Seated, given a menu. Drinks orders taken. Offered fresh or sparkling water. Breakfast Cocktails available. Beautiful coffee. Water topped up often. Order taken in good time. Food didn't take long to arrive. My friend and I both ordered the salmon on Waffles. How do you say delicious but better? This was fresh, perfect eggs, good amount of salmon fillet. Some greens and a little warming mustard. I feel the oil garnish was peppered. $26. It was fantastic eating, awesome service, clean and tidy toilets with a good soap and moisture. The place was clean and not too noisy. Definitely worth a visit. Tell them Trace sent you. Almond and soy as dairy-free milk options for coffee. Soy coffees tasted great and looked beautiful. Overall a really enjoyable experience, would recommend for date day/night!

Worth going here even if you only eat the sourdough w/ chefs butter. Ordering other things on the menu will also not disappoint. Loved the salt and vinegar potatoes- such a nice crispy texture. Got the roasted cauliflower as my main and loved the flavor, the crispy kale, and the sunflower butter.

Raise the humble poached egg on toast to a new height. If you want to eat in Miro, you may need it. My poached eggs are put on charcoal-baked sourdough. For me, there is absolutely no better taste than burnt toast. Coffee has decent power and everyone laughed. I want to try more products on their menu.

Just had lunch here with my husband. Honestly, it was one of the best meals we've ever eaten. We both had two courses for the set prices of $40 from which we had a main and dessert. Absolutely delicious, a brilliant mix of flavours and textures. I highly highly recommend.

Enjoyed our breakfast at Miró and arrived early, before the “rush” on a Sunday morning, which was nice as it meant there weren’t many other diners and it was fairly quiet. Interior decor is quite beautiful. One coffee was to our liking, the other had a heaping of cocoa on just one edge of the cup, not something we’d seen before on a cappuccino and wished it hadn’t been poured on. The dishes (blueberry hotcakes and eggs benedict with mushroom) were both really delicious. Portion sizes are moderate. The service was (almost too) attentive, as we were asked numerous times how the food was, if we were ok, then if we wanted more beverages, then if we wanted anything else, and so on. Would recommend for a more upscale brunch, perhaps for an occasion.

Last Saturday I had lunch at Miro with a group of 7 friends, it was a birthday celebration. Everyone enjoyed their delicious innovative food. We were also impressed with the beautiful handwriting on the plate containing the birthday sweet treat.

The coffee is bang on, the staff are efficient and friendly, the room is nicely decked out and there's a cool outdoor spot to sit and dine too. All of this is great but the MAIN reason I go to Miro is for their 'Greens on Toast' dish. It's insanely good - peas, edamame, avocado, feta and poached eggs on toast and with a side of bacon - just fantastic!

Generally I mark on taste, service and cost... So overall a 4.5 the only issue was the meat was not hot but everything else was great. Starter Carrot and rhubarb entree was great was not sure the combo would work but the combination as perfect. Not sure the butter sauce added much but the mash just tied it all together. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food came out fairly regularly and I was not left wondering if or when it would arrive Main Bavette steak was ok, radishes were good but the steak was like warm at best but flavours were good. The mushroom was tasty but I am not a fan so left it. Mushroom lovers would have loved it. Potatoe side was pretty good and some how the flavouring had been glazed on to them. Lots of crispy yummy Potatoe bits. Very nice well seasoned. Very tasty. Would be just right for sharing with two. Dessert The chocolate ganache tasted great and the sweetness was offset well by the mandarin sorbet with some biscuit crumb to add texture. Overall a pleasent dessert. Also good size was just right not too small you were left wanting more not so larger or overpowering sweet you wanted less. The location was next to the Avon was very plesent with a lot of foot traffic passing by. Bit of road noise from the busy road but the noise was not unpleasant and both added some distraction and interest to the experience. Cost was pretty good and they did a 3 course special at 45 was pretty good. Overall was a pretty good experience. Overall Christchurch seems to have a pretty good food scene and Miro leads my experience so far. If you did not know it was there you would miss it. Worth finding. Thanks Manas. Look it up go visit it cannot be beat on a hot summers day. Take a hat.

Today was the last day of truffle week, so my partner and I headed in. I had the roasted mushroom with white truffle. Every bite was delicious. I also tried their version of lemon lime and bitters. The twist was that the bitters are a bit special. I choose the coffee and pimento. Also delicious. Great service and a beautiful venue. Thanks team

5 stars. I have been here several time, and each time the food is amazing. I tried to order different menu, and it's always interesting. By far, my favorite is Beef Cheek with Potato Leek cake on the side. The service is great and the host is friendly.

Amazing restaurant for Bottomless brunch! I booked for 22 people for my birthday and we all had the best time! Definitely bottomless and the food was amazing and so timely for such a large group! Also were more than happy to allow my friend an alternative alcohol due to having a sulfate allergy. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options also. I can not put a single fault to them. Thank you!

Great atmosphere great interior design, really like the flow and the way the tables and furniture layout. The unisex toilet is located right out of the door. They also have outdoor seating facing the riverside. The drink menu is creative and witg wide ranging selection. We had a skirt steak salad and a waffle. Both are average quality and taste. The proportion of the vege in the salad is small, more like a base than a salad. The waffle is not fluffy and a bit dry and hard. We had to try very hard to get a waiting staff to fill our glasses with water even though it wasn't very busy. Slightly disappointed given the rating and descriptions on Google Map is close to our liking. Will probably give it a second chance one day.

We had a such a lovely time at Miro this morning. We got a wonderfully warm welcome from the maître d - she made sure everything was perfect for us. The food was delicious and the coffee was great. The decor at Miro is fabulous - and our window seat gave us lovely views out towards the river. What a marvellously uplifting way to start our day.

I am a firm believer of the way that distinguishes a good restaurant from an exceptional restaurant is that on multiple visits your expectations are met on every visit. This visit was our first for lunch and our expectations were totally excceed, the staff were welcoming and attentive, our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. We started with a couple of cocktails which were sophisticated and balanced a great start to our meal, we shared the scallops for entree and my God what a harmoniously balanced dish full of different textures and flavours with succulent scallops, we didn't want it to end. For our main we had the Croque Madame and Miro Burger these too excceed our expectations as the brioche was fluffy and light with the perfect balance of cheese and prosciutto the salad added some acidity the chips were perfectly cooked, the burger was flavourful and balanced. This restaurant is our new favourite, we would go out of our way to visit again, can't wait to try something else off the menu.

Set in a beautiful historic building, it's a much nicer environment than your typical café. The coffee ranks in my top 3 of all time. I'd normally choose a savoury option for brunch/lunch, but I went with the waffles and they were to die for. I can't recommend them highly enough. Prices are a little steep.

Gorgeous foods and interior but service was slack and coffee mediocre. They forgot one of our coffees and it took us asking twice to get it, while others who arrived after us already received and drank theirs. Plus we couldn't get anyone's attention to bring us sugar for the first coffee. Then the coffee arrived it was sadly not well made. 2/3 of the cup was filled with airy foam. Staff was friendly but another pair of hands and a bit more front of the house training would have improved our experience.

The chef, Michael, goes to all the tables to describe the menu. We were there for dinner and went back the next day for breakfast. We will keep an excellent souvenir of Christchurch. (Original) Certainement un des meilleurs restos de Christchurch! (Le meilleur à mon avis!). Une petite carte, 4 ou 5 entrées, idem pour les plats principaux. Tous les plats sont très travaillés et délicieux. Le chef, Michael, passe à toutes les tables pour décrire le menu. Nous y étions pour le diner et y sommes retournés le lendemain pour le petit-dejeuner. Nous en garderons un excellent souvenir de Christchurch.
