Went here for a work do and it was fantastic. The interior was pleasant and not too busy. Food was out quickly and servers were friendly and happy to help. They have a lovely covered porch with seating perfect for gatherings. The pizzas were good but there was nothing to rave about when ot came to flavour. Their garlic bread looked amazing but didn't have enough butter. Definitely try it out if looking for pizza

I have been coming to this pizza place before they changed there name. And everytime. I mean every single time I go. I have the best experience. Yesterday it was my son's 10th birthday. They went above and beyond for our table of 4. The food was delicious and everytime I take someone different with me they are always blown away too. There was nothing I could flaw. Pizza is always delicious and makes you forget all your problems. The low alcohol slushie was delicious with fresh fruit slices. The dessert was amazing and hit the spot. We finished it off with a coffee while the kids enjoy their pictures to colour in and sundae. Thank you for always providing the best experience. I highly recommend you to all.

Went in for a Bottomless Lunch on Saturday and it was fantastic. Went for the Craft Package which was bottomless Craft beers, lots of great options. They gave us chips and garlic bread to start which were delicious and then got to choose either a burger, pizza or pasta as a main. Great food and more than we could eat so took most of it home. Our waiter was also great. 10/10 would recommend!

We had our work Christmas Function at Pizza Republic on Saturday night. On arrival the outdoor area was all set up for us and staff greeted us in a friendly welcoming manner. Throughout the night the staff continued to look after all our needs and as always the food was fantastic, if not just too much of it. Thanks to Pizza Republic for helping make the evening a fun relaxed night. I did not hear a negative comment from anyone, in fact the opposite with many of the staff indicating that they would return with family and friend. Awesome night

I recently had my 40th birthday party at PR’s. It was the best night. The function room is perfect as you have your own space. The staff were amazing. Services was superb. We had dinner there and nibbles later in the evening. Food was really great. It was the best experience. Highly recommend. Took the kids for a school holiday treat. Easy booking system on line, fantastic service and delicious pizzas!! A really great restaurant with friendly staff. We had a voucher from Canterbury Basketball for player of the day and would have never of known about Pizza Republic if it wasnt for the voucher! My first visit to Pizza Republic and certainly won't be my last! The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was well above beyond my expectations. I tried the chicken, cranberry and brie pizza as well as the king of the ocean pizza and a side of Jalapeños poppers. The pizza had a descent amount of topping and soft fluffy base, to me it was perfect. I can't wait to go back. Thanks for a great food experience.

My friend and I decided to share a half & half pizza. I picked 'nice to meat you' and it was nice if a little mean on cheese... She picked one of the pork pizzas with coleslaw - we now agree that coleslaw should never be put on pizza. I liked my drink, she thought hers was a bit sweet. Service was excellent!

We had my sister's hens' do here recently and it was a big hit. We did a cocktail making course and the waitress was lovely, even when things got a bit rowdy. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend.

We have been regular visitors here since Winnie Bagoes days, and it still does not disappoint. We had a delicious birthday lunch for our son on Saturday - the waiter was attentive and fun, and very efficient. The food was absolutely fabulous, we deliberately ordered slightly larger portions in order to have leftovers for the rest of the weekend, which by the way were boxed up neatly for the trip home. Thanks for making a special occasion even more special!

Had an end of season function for 7th grade footy and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They were patient with the noisy boys and made sure kids and adults alike were happy and well fed. The pizza was great and the sides were also yummy and generously portioned. We sat in the courtyard which was lovely and warm on a chilly day. Overall excellent experience!

Food was good, very busy. Did wish they told us when we booked that they were having a kid playing band(anoother function). Not to sure if our 90yr old Gran enjoyed it was very loud, the oldies with us had to take hearing aids out. Our table of 12 was awkward and we couldn't all chat with each other, being in a straight line also wait staff only came once to ask if we needed a drink. Only giving 3 stars as the food was good would only give 1 star for service.

We booked out the outside area for my 50th. Mike and his team were welcoming, organized, and nothing seemed a bother. Catered very well with Pizza and chips. ALWAYS PERFECT. My local. Superb in every way. I love this place! Pizza is the best in the world and fries to die for and the hosts are LEGENDS! Shannon the manager is awesome and runs the place like a well oiled machine! Mike is the promoter par excellence! Love it.

Hubby has been wanting pizza for awhile so I appeased him and we stopped here. They had weekday lunch specials until 3PM. Friendly staff, we were seated in the back. Not terribly busy. Their pizzas come in 3 sizes: SM, MD, and LG. 20 cm, 26 cm, and I forget how big the large is. We ordered a small gourmet and a medium traditional. Both were $15.00 for the lunch special. Normally the medium traditional is $22.00. The order came out and both pizzas were smalls. I checked the wall for the sizes and measured, both pizzas were 20 cm. It took a bit to flag out waitress down because she was either in the back, behind the bar, or bringing pizzas out to guest. Finally we got her attention, she checked the order she placed. It was for a SM and MD. The kitchen got it wrong. Instead of throwing out the incorrect one, they let us have it. The replacement medium came out quite quick. The small gourmet was a hawaiian, and with red pepper flakes my hubby was happy. He ate almost the entire pizza. The small mistake and the medium we ordered were pepperoni. Instead of a cured pepperoni, they use a peppered salami. Technically not a pepperoni, but still tasty. Since I grew up eating salami, I enjoyed it. The crust was not bad, could have maybe stayed in a minute or two longer. I like mine extra toasty, but it had a good taste. It was fluffy on the inside. Just the right amount of cheese. We needed a box because it was just too much to finish. Took a while to get our waitress back. We should have just walked up to the front.

Nice place, they have a huge menu with loads of different pizzas. They have a gourmet menu with loads of toppings and then they have a classic menu with classic italian pizzas that have fewer toppings and thinner bases. We got a margherita pizza, a platter and fries. The pizza was good, not the best margherita we have had though. Sometimes the simplest pizzas are the hardest to get amazing... The plater was awesome though. The plum ribs were good and it had a good selection. Fries were good too. Service was great, nice place, aqesome cocktails... Can't go wrong really...

I had my daughter's surprise 21st Birthday in the outside covered court yard area. I met with the manager Shannon to organise food and venue set up... nothing was a problem. When I arrived on the day everything was as discussed. I ordered from their new finger food menu and it did not disappoint. All the guests loved the food and the venue. There is a great variety of foods to order from and they were all delicious.

We had an excellent event here for 50 people in the courtyard. Kids and adults were happy and well fed. Staff went the extra mile to make one of the guests who was needing some quiet time feel really happy and comfy in a quiet spot in the restaurant. Very caring, not to mention the delicious food!

Food was exceptional as always and our waitress was incredible, so friendly, super helpful, not flustered even though she was flat out. Amazing and delicious range of Gluten Free food making it a great place for our whole family to eat. We love dining at Pizza Republic only downside is we have to drive 30mins across town but 100% worth the drive.

Sundays are the go! We came for Mother's day last weekend, asked if we could do the Sunday $65 meal deal, We got a pizzato share, chips, garlic bread, then the kids got meals, so pizza and chip and nuggets and chips, SO much food!!! Id say the first chips would have been enough! Food was all good, then the kids also got ice cream and a juice!!! Bill was $89, which I guess included the 3 (A Guinness and two ned sav's) drinks we bought. Service was great, we will be back

Friendly wait staff, tasty food, motivated kitchen staff and a good atmosphere made for an overall good experience. It was busy and I felt ever so slightly rushed when my partners plate was cleared before I'd finished eating and I felt that the cloud of cleaning spray used on one table between diners was excessive, especially considering all nearby tables were eating. Perhaps spraying the cloth instead of the table could help to keep the spray mist to a minimum. Other than that we enjoyed our meal and drinks and had a good time.

A name change but no change in quality, service or atmosphere! Exceptional menu and decor changes mean a truly wonderful experience. Every time I step through the doors I have an amazing food experience, that is more like going to your favourite auntie's home for yummy food than stepping into a restaurant. Perfect Pizza We ordered Moroccan Lamb Pizza and it was just wonderful. The size of pizza was large enough and there was a lot of meat and cheese on it which was wonderful. The staff were also super friendly and the interior decoration was lovely. Highly Recommended

I always enjoy functions and dinners at Winnie Bagoes because of their really good honey beef pizza. They were really good over lockdown when we went down to level three they had a contactless pick up service and still kept pizza nice and warm. Although it can be a little expensive when bringing a whole family, it definitely is worth it every once and a while.

Great place for a last minute dinner if you’re too busy to cook. Pizzas are good but not really authentic Italian style. Bases can be a bit thick and toppings a bit excessive but for the masses it’s good. Kids like it. Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Nothing flash, more of a family restaurant. We went for a meal at Ferrymead on a Monday evening. The service, and atmosphere was very pleasant & welcoming. The pizza (4 cheeses) was nicely cooked & presented with a good mix of cheeses on a thin crisp base - much better than we have found at most local pizza places. The wine & fries were equally good. All in all we really enjoyed the meal & will return.

Absolutely love coming here! They provide fantastic food and great service with a family friendly atmosphere, as well as a covered outdoor area for large groups. My wife and I regularly frequent this place for birthdays and anniversaries as they cater to get dietary reqirements (gluten free and dairy free) and have an incredibly tastey and diverse menu. I would wholeheartedly recommend eating here if you love gourmet pizza!

Went here for as a walk in. Had to wait for ages to get a table in the bar area when the restaurant would've been preferable, had to ask someone to take our order, then around 45 minutes for our food to arrive. There was a big group of school leaver there so was pretty noisy but we could still easily hear each other. Winnie Bagoes make the best pizzas in Christchurch in my opinion. Price is higher than most other pizza places but definitely worth it. The venue is quite good with lots of car parks. The staff members are friendly.

We recently had our engagement party at Ferrymead Winnies. The team there were amazing! We cannot thank them enough for their hospitality. From start to finish they made planning stress free and the night went off without a hitch. Great venue for such a party. Having our own music was no problem at all and they set it all up for us. They communicated with us during the night to let us know how bar tab etc was going which was great and they were very accomodating to our guest with food allergies. Highly reccomend this place. Thanks again team!!
