There is something special about this cafe. Beautiful down to earth staff, great selection of food, coffee to die for and 5 star service. The Maori Gentleman and the gorgeous lady on the coffee machine went above and beyond to ensure my brother and I were looked after. Thank you for giving us a great experience, we will remember you and look forward to visiting again next time we pass through.

Great service great staff great food. They do everything from sit down meals inside and outb to takeaway burgers and fish and chips to ice-creams and milk shakes. Also have Jimmy's pies and sandwiches.. it is situated right beside the A2O cycle trail so is a great place to stop for lunch or tea before you continue on your journey..

This cafe and takeaway spot was a fantastic end to a super long day of riding on our A2O trip. Great food and friendly staff. They even kept the cafe part open longer for us so we could order coffees. Thank you!

A really good chicken burger. Lovely fresh bun, and a good portion of salad vegetables, with a mango chutney. Packaged nicely in a box. Chips were good quality and portion size. We will definitely eat here again, and can recommend River Cafe Restaurant

If you fancy an ice cream on a hot afternoon this is the place. Lovely staff, a huge selection of flavors and very, very generous sized ice cream in a cone. Don't drive past. It is pretty special.

This cafe is at the end of town, past all the smarter looking cafes but is well worth the extra walk/ drive. Great people behind the counter welcomed us with a smile and a chat then cooked us up a couple of brilliant hamburgers. Also the milkshakes were a meal in themselves...rich milk and icecream and plenty of flavour. There's a lovely area to sit inside to eat and watch the world go by or take a seat on the footpath. Highly recommend this place

Typical Kiwis ice-cream and Fish 'n Chips shop combined with Cafe and "restaurant". They serve huge portions of Tiptop ice-cream, but not many people having coffee there (they can't really make you a good one). OTOH service is nice and friendly and polite.

The price was reasonable, so I was very satisfied with it, but it was a fried hockey dish. There are many places in New Zealand where you can eat fresh fried cod fish, but it's not like that here. You can use the card (Original) 店員さんがフレンドリー ローカルの小さなカフェ兼レストランです フィッシュandチップスを頼みましたが、味は正直普通でした。お値段がリーズナブルなので満足度は高いですが、冷凍(と思わしき)ホッケの揚げ物でした。ニュージーランドでは新鮮なタラのフライを食べられる場所がたくさんありますが、ここのはそういう感じではなく、ほか弁の白身魚のフライみたいな感じ。 カード使えます
