M.Excellent choice for japanese cuisine. Very interesting choice and good quality food. On our list to visit again for sure. Love the tuna sashimi and the varieties of sakes to choose from.
陳.The scrampi set: miso soup- is super fresh and sweet, it has the prawn head, prawn leg, and some veggies in the soup; the scrampi is super nice and fresh, definitely have some juice from the lemon with it! YUM!
The crunchiness of the soft shell crab is just right. It isn't being fried too much or less, and it is so nice to have it with the sauce that is given. The fresh veggies balance out the strong taste. Highly recommend Sakimoto!
M.I had a really tasty salmon teriyaki dish. The staff were very friendly and the service was prompt.
It was pretty cold though, and we were seated outside as there were no tables left that weren't reserved inside. The staff did put the heater on for us, but the area wasn't warm enough to be comfortable. Our fault for not booking ahead of time, but I think if the restaurant is to keep an outdoor dining section, it would be worth making it a bit cosier. Perhaps some screens / barriers to block the drafts and keep the heat in.
t.I had the goba chips and beef udon noodle soup. Beautiful Japanese food and service for a good price. I highly recommend.

J.Amazing service and served with much kindness, the menu is exciting with dishes I haven’t seen since I was last in Singapore. The small dish and drink prices are really reasonable (and cheapest unagi in Christchurch that I’ve found), I can’t recommend this place enough, as it’s now my new favourite Japanese place in Christchurch!
S.Been here a few times. Consistently excellent food. We had lots of seafood which tasted very fresh. A busy place with great staff. We'll be back soon!
