E.Japanese ramen and love the taste, Spicy Miso Ramen is the best one if you are spicy lover. The staffs are friendly, will be my default ramen in Christchurch. :)
T.Restaurant nice and clean. Friendly staff and the food is always hot and fresh when served. Recommend to anyone who loves Japanese food. Plenty of parking also and there are also other restaurants and shops close to it.
M.Whilst I prefer the atmosphere at the Colombo Street Samurai Bowl, the food tastes the same which is great. The menu is well priced for the quality of the meals you get. The staff were also very polite and friendly. The meals come out very fast and service is efficient overall. Would recommend

The food was really good. Super fast to come out. We had the Edmame beans and they were some of the best we have had.

s.Authentic Japanese Ramen. Super friendly staff. Ample parking outside. When we were there they were following government rules under covid level 2, giving us peace of mind. The only thing that could be better was there was a fish bone in one piece of sashimi. Would definitely return for the Ramen.
S.The noodles itself were springy and textually yummy. (Better than hachi hachi). The soup was just alright, it didnt stand out neither in soya or bone broth taste. The charsiu slices were of good thickness but the lean part of the meat was quite dry, thankfully it was in the soup. The side dishes portion is pretty small considering the market price they charge. Despite calling themselves a casual restaurant, with fast food style counter ordering, the price was definitely not 'casual'! A little disappointing imho.

T.Absolutely love it here! Great menu with a lot of choices! From ramen, sushi, curry and much more. Well priced for great quality. The place is relatively small, making it harder for big groups but calling and making a booking is the ideal way to go for larger groups.
Love that they offer a large size portion too (for extra $). You pay at the counter when you order, although sometimes for large groups they will take your order at the table.
Staff are friendly, service is great and food is great! :D

R.My favourite restaurant. If I didn't eat here I could probably afford a much more lavish life style. The food is perfect. I spent 4 months in Japan eating ramen & takoyaki, okonomiyaki, you name it, and this restaurant is still up there in my favourites. If I end up on death row, I'll be ordering a bowl of lemon ramen & negi mayo gyoza as my final meal. Top it off with an Asahi from the tap and I'll be dying a happy woman.

C.This is a great value casual Japanese restaurant. Service is quick; the food is fab and the bill is pleasant. Decor is weird in a way only a Japanese place can get away with. Think work lunch or casual dinner rather than first date!

B.This restaurant is situated on Wairakei Road, around Harewood /Burnside area. I have been to this Samurai Bowl twice and this is the third time in here. I ordered different kind of dishes every time I visit; from noodle to rice to sushi. However, my favourite meal is their sashimi set 😋. Anyway, it comes with a bowl of miso soup, a bowl of rice (you can choose either a normal or sushi rice, I recommend the latter one), a few slices of ginger, a dipping sauce (for the salad), a bowl of Japanese salad and lastly, the main star of this dish, salmon (or tuna) sashimi. The portion size is, what I considered as medium portion; good size for dinner and won’t leave you hungry or too full 😙. They do give you the option to add another dish for a half price but also half the portion, if you feel like having a big feast.
The other dish that I tried was miso ramen 🍜 (hot ramen noodle soup with three pork slices, extra beans sprouts and added an egg in the miso soup (broth) --> their secret ingredients!!!) which was flavorsome and it is especially good to have in winter! It is a simple meal and easy to eat if you couldn’t decide what to order/ eat (I have the same issue when trying to choose!). Don’t let my photo fools you, the portion size is reasonable even though the bowl looks huge. You can always ask for extra noodle if you’re very hungry~!!! 😁

Ambience: ⭐⭐ ⭐ out of 5. Nothing spectacular in terms of the interior deco. Clean, neat and tidy.
Price: ⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. Reasonable priced, and it should be that way as it is not a fine dining but a fast food restaurant.
Would I go back? Yes but there are many eateries that I want to try eating 😋
Would I recommend? Yes, for a quick meal.

L.Karaage Don and Karaage curry are at same price? They should put it side by side. And compare it before pricing it. The ramen quality is worst compared to the original. BUT thank you for the team who willing to make me a salmon yuhoe don, even it has been removed from the menu.
