T.First on my list of sensational /great value takeaway meals. Very clean, very friendly & fantastic food. Such a wonderful array of seasonal fresh vegetables. Ordered in shop with plenty of room - instore for the current 2m social distancing. Great service, fast service, yummy food.
M.This local takeaway shop has always been a regular for me but since going under new ownership several months ago it has only improved.
Chips have improved in quality quite a lot, must be a different brand they’re using but they are great.
Really flavourful Chinese meals with decent portion sizes too.
There are quite a few fish & chip shops on Stanmore Road but this one takes the cake for sure.
J.Love this place. Sun Ning has been a firm go to for a very long time now. We even travel a good distance just to enjoy their food. Though the wantons never do seem to make it home
a.Love their food and it's good to see that the new owners are still making great quality Chinese food. One suggestion is that you provide delivery for a charge or sign up to Uber Eats. There's a lot of people in the 8013 area who are elderly and/or differently abled and cannot get to the shop easily.
PS: Love your wontons.

m.best general takeaway around by far. fresh good quality food. do good chip shop and Chinese food so the family can get different things from one place. not cheap but worth it.
ps. they also sell curry sauce 👍
P.Went last night and ordered combination frie rice and chicken mushroom fried rice,the cobination was good but noticed the fried rice for the chicken mushroom was reheated rice in the microwave wasn't as good as fried rice should be. I expect proper fresh fried rice in meals.

My husband and I always order way too much, but its a fantastic meal the next day too. We've tried many things on the menu, but always go back to our favorite meals.. Sweet and sour pork and combination fried noodles with extra roast pork. Then we add something different to try new things.
Very friendly staff who always give a very warm welcome.
Extremely good prices as well.

N.Fantastic sweet and sour pork! I don’t know what other people are complaining about portion wise! It was more than enough for me & my partner leaving us super full and it was incredibly delicious!The wontons are delicious too!!!

C.Gets 5 stars as a Chinese takeaway as it's one of the best in Christchurch. Super clean and professionally run, which is hard to find when it comes to basic Chinese takeaway places. Good service with a smile and always accommodating. Food is excellent, consistent and well priced. They make brilliant burgers at a good price. If you want to just grab a burger I highly recommend coming here. The homemade dumplings are good, as are the spring rolls they make on site, they are the best!

A.Not bad but nothing to race about. A lot of vege in the dishes. And old trick to take up space and save on more expensive ingredients, ie. Egg fu yung with 1/2 an onion in it. Not unpleasant but nothing rememorable

Came here twice while on holiday in Christchurch. Had their Egg foo young, beef with vegetables, chicken fried rice all made gluten free for us - my partner is coeliac (I'm not) and all dishes were good even compared to establishments that don't accommodate for gluten free.
M.Friendly, efficient, staff. Great food beautifully cooked. Recommend the Chinese, their eggburgers are a fantastic and their fish and chip are lovely. The shop is really clean.
a.I have enjoyed the food. Price is similar to other take outs. Place is tidy, there is space to eat inside if you like. There is parking off road just pass the place, did not notice it right away.

S.Its either going to be "really good" or "excellent", a great amount of tasty fresh vegetables, excellent sauce & flavour. We normally have the "Chicken with Cashew" & "Sweet n Sour Pork" but we've tried other dishes that are also very good & well crafted. In the top 3 of 15 chinese takeaways we've tried, (if not the top when the right cook is on) in Christchurch over the last 3 years. You won't be dissapointed.

s.If you are wanting a snack, you can't go wrong with the awesome big chicken wings. They are delicious and very good value for about the $2 mark. Get some!
