All staff were very friendly and attentive, they made the dining experience really enjoyable. The meals came out quickly and in any order when they were ready which didn't bother us. We'll definitely be back and will take friends next time.

This used to be one of our go to places. Nice ambience, cool bar area and good staff. The food is still reasonable but the menu is more limited and not as good as it was. Some of our favourites have gone from the menu. Still worth a visit, but not as often as we did.

I have been to this restaurant about 5 times and it has never disappointed. Been with meat eaters and vegans and there is something for everybody. The food and the service is amazing. Would recommend to anybody!!!

First time visiting Super busy restaurant, nice atmosphere and great customer service. We ordered a table online, selected dietary requirements and then received a confirmation email. The menu is changed frequently and the dishes can be shared. Super had a wide range vegetarian/ vegan dishes and tasty food.

The service is honestly incredible. The young man who was running the floor all by himself did an extremely good job at catering to every ones need during the busy period. Will be back just for his service.

Really tasty food and a great drink selection. Reasonably priced and cool decor. Plenty of vegan options, yum yum. I will get back!!

To sum this place up with just one word is easy, it’s Super. The food is both fast, and high quality, often those two things are mutually exclusive, but not here. We were served personally by the owner who was also Super, super friendly and super professional. The menu has many vegetarian options, and they are able to cater both Vegans and those who are Gluten Free. Labelling the meat dishes with (M) instead of vegetarian with (V) was a nice touch appreciated by our table. Even the POS system was great, making easy for the 8 of us to pay for our own items easily. I’ll definitely be eating here again soon, so to should you.

A cute cafe in the heart of Lyttleton. They have outdoor seating too. The juices and food here are delicious, but the portions are a little too small for the price. They leave you hungry for more food. We had the tofu scramble and the japanese hot bread.

Great food - interesting and very tasty - tried heaps of dishes including Vegetarian Sang Choi Bao and the Steak and crickets - Yes, you read it right! Everything was superbly cooked and presentation probably the best in town. Excellent cosy place for couples and groups. Staff were very welcoming and ready to assist with menu choices. Do yourself a favour, impress your friends and head to Lyttelton.

Really nice food. A bit pricey and some items a bit spicy but worth it overall. Old style seating could do with some cushions. Quite a few vegan and gluten free options.

Fantastic place for a really good and reasonably priced meal. Has vegan options.

Initially once we were seated it took 30 minutes before someone came to check on us and took our drinks order. Even then, once taking our drinks order we didn't get them for another 20 minutes, and they took our food order in the mean time. To be fair, it was a very busy night but the staff were very short with us when taking our orders. Luckily the food was absolutely fantastic, but yeah disappointed with the customer service to be honest.

Super fresh taste, super friendly staff, super cool place to go. Loved it. Had beef with bugs, yummy and cooked to perfection. Tasted some of the other plates at our table and nothing disappointed. Well have to come back and try the rest of the menu.

I was really hoping this was going to be awesome and the setting and decor is really funky, front of house was great.Food really was below par, kimchi fries had no kimchi and was soggy and late.chicken donburri was tough and flavorless,Ramen had a weak stock.Dumplings were good ,as was the fried chicken entree. But given the 3 below average dishes I'm not sure I would go again.

Wonderful tasty food. the let down was the service. We were a large group, who had booked, but the meals/food came out slow and in a strange order. Most of the party had eaten and dishes even removed before the last meal was served. So could be great for couples but a larger group I wouldn't recommend

Super food in a super place. The restaurant is located in an older building which has been tastefully updated. We tried several different dishes. The star was the chicken bao bun. Just excellent all around and I don't usually think much of them. The villain was the side of fries I got with my main. Very plain and ordinary if they had been served with a tasty Japanese Mayo or something to dip them in it could have been good. But they were all alone with nothing to dip them in. Drink selection was good, prices are reasonable. Staff were friendly and attentive.

Came to this amazing place! Was greeted by the Devine member of staff *Anna* who made my evening a delight and had me leaving with a smile on my face. Will definitely come back!

Delicious food, beautifully presented. Waiting staff were so friendly and helpful. They had run out of the drink I was after but instead of asking me to pick something else they offered to make me a bespoke one with similar flavors- really impressive. Arrived just before the place got fully packed out from bookings. Friendly staff, nice service, non-typical foods, lights a little too dim for the oldies - which was fine (we brought flashlights). Fish (fresh Line Caught Iwa) pan fried and cooked nicely was the hero; dish ended up being curious/interesting, rather than something which will fill you up. Though a little biased due to cycling into Lyttelton over the hills.

It started off well with drinks and nibbles ordered but then quickly went downhill when only three of the four drinks arrived. We had to call the waitress over and ask about the other drink and also order our mains. Meantime the drink arrived and we waited and waited. No mains arrived despite the fact the restaurant wasn't busy and the staff were all gossiping. She finally came over to check on us and I asked where our mains were. She apologized profusely and said she had forgotten to put the order through and she would make sure a few of our drinks were taken off the bill. Food eventually arrived and was pleasant but not exceptional. We paid and I queried whether the drinks had been removed - they had not so then another waitress had to work out how to rectify it. All in all, it is unlikely I will return.

had pork bao which was melting tender and flavour-full and an iced coffee which was tasty. my friends enjoyed their donburi and kimchi fried rice and their kids ate the pork dumplings and chicken bao with no problems.

Salmon and agedashi tofu are top tier 11/10

A great find for us, we really enjoyed the unique cuisine at Super. Very fresh, locally sourced where possible, organic options, beautiful presentation and complementary flavors. We enjoyed the funky decor and chill ambience. Quite a few options for vegos which is always appreciated.

I love this place. We were looking for espresso martinis for brunch and the friendly staff here made them for us even though they are not usually on the menu. The brunch food was to die for, the music and atmosphere funky and relaxed. My dinner experience another time with my daughter was equally stunning. Cant recommend enough

Took my wife here on her birthday. Delicious fusion food and a nice funky ambience. Music was bit loud for our table but staff turned it down straight away. Friendly attentive service. Would definitely return.

The food was fantastic. Everything came quickly, was presented nicely and tasted delicious. We shared a bunch of things between 4 of us and it cost less than $50 each including drinks so very reasonable. A very cool funky place, really nice decor and relaxed vibe.

We had lunch today at Super. It’s such a beautiful place, very relaxed with friendly service. The food was a curious Kiwi Japanese fusion. Absolutely delicious!

Lovely place to eat. Staff we're really friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. They stock hakanoa ginger beer, which is great. Ordered the kimchi rice. It had the right amount of heat, and great flavour combos. Definitely returning here :)

Ridiculously good food (had to give praise to the (young) people in the kitchen - think it’s the first time I’ve done that). And really nice people at the bar as well. Good atmosphere in a nice little town. Yeah and good (sour) beer on tap. If you’re in the area just find a table and enjoy. So yeah - just go there! The strange plum wine (think that was what it was) that my girlfriend had was also really good. These people know how to please the taste buds. Managed to forget the douchebag hanging outside that ran in front of me after I’d parked my cycle and took the chairs on the corner with the afternoon sun - haha what a joke)

Great atmosphere , great service, great food

Setting is great, design is awesome and music well suited. Menu is nice and concise, full of delicious looking things. Bao buns were great, cucumber salad and tempura veges were awesome. However, the service was a bit up and down. From a few things forgotten/late like plates or have we seen the desert menu to clearing the table while a guest was still eating. Otherwise really good food at a good price. Would go back again hoping that it was just a fluke.

My favorite place to eat in town. We probably come here once a week, but I think about coming here at least once a day. The staff here is lovely, and the food is consistently delicious. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. Favorites: * Eggs benedict with hash and mushrooms (brunch menu) - the sriracha hollandaise is a game changer * Kumara fries - order the appetizer, or swap out the shoestring (regular) fries on a burger order and get yourself some of these instead; also, the vegan garlic mayo these are served with is scrumptious * Shiitake & tahini ramen with hellfire chili oil - this broth is the most umami damn thing I've ever had in my life; we eat a lot of plant-based/vegan food, and this scratches the umami itch like nothing else Honorable mentions: * Tofu bao * Super fried cauliflower - some of the best fried cauliflower we've had, and we've had a lot * Green tea soba noodles with house smoked salmon * Affogato - the presentation on this was absolutely gorgeous

Absolutely teaming with life! This luscious restaurant is a delight for all your senses. From the incredibly attractive, sassy, friendly staff to the garnish in my Gin everything was perfection. I would be here every week if I lived in Lyttelton.

Having heard great things about this place, headed over for brunch on Saturday. The place was buzzing, the coffee delicious and the smoked mushrooms with pea puree on toasted ciabatta amazing. Love the earthy pottery tableware. An enticing menu and certainly keen to try more.

Different take from your standard Japanese food. Portion size is strange. The salard was nice but very small not a good deal. Otherwise the food was really good, very helpful friendly staff. Beer is expensive. The restaurant has a out there feel but comfortable. On the whole a great experience and would highly recommend it. Hell fire across the road for a drink after is the hot tip.

Food and atmosphere fantastic with many veggie and vegan choices. Only been open a week so not busy yet! If it does pick up, as it should, then the service needs to step up a gear - it was pretty laid back when we were there. We’re laid back too but others may find it slow!

Went there for the first time last night and it was soooooo delicious! We had an array of things - karage chicken, ramen, chirazisushi, baos, cocktails and yummy wine! Staff were friendly and lovely, food was quick. Definitely my favourite place in Christchurch and will be back for more!

Interesting and innovative Japanese food. In a character building, still standing in Littleton, close to the port, but not noisy we got parking just outside, but you may have to search, however Littleton is not a big place (by definition) a good selection of wines beers and sake. Well worth a visit

Service was excellent but the hangi pork bao was not like any hangi pork I have eaten, more two small pieces of pork cooked Asian style and not hangi portion size.
