I was very satisfied. This is a great place. Nice staff, great service and lovely atmosphere. The food and drink looked amazing and was so delicious. I also really liked the small store with a lot of great goods. You can buy herbs, vegan and organic food supplements and many other nice things. Thank you!

If you like delicious vegetarian food, then this restaurant is a good place for you to visit. If you like alternative or spiritual food, then this restaurant is really your best choice. I also know that this place may not be suitable for everyone (until they realize that the enjoyment of coming here touches the soul more than they thought). I like this place very much. It has a lovely atmosphere, lovely staff, and delicious food.

Had breakfast there this morning. The food and selection is as good as you'll get anywhere matched by realistic pricing. Has a gentle vibe and peaceful ambiance. Great to see a small business that hasn't bowed to our tyrannical overlords even though they've been fined $20k. A nice respite from the dystopian hysteria pervading our little planet. They'll see more of me for sure.

The atmosphere, food and staff are absolutely marvellous. Truly a place of fun and peace, as well as inclusive and respectful. Places like this are rare and good for the soul. Its rather sad to read reviews of people who are preoccupied with muzzle wearing and distancing, criticising businesses who are compassionate, welcoming, aware and awake and treat everyone equally and respectfully.

What a beautiful restaurant! We have had many good experiences here with the very kind and welcoming staff. The food is incredibly delicious with a lot of variety. This evening we were especially impressed by the very personal service provided by Tijo, even providing some spoken word poetry at the conclusion of an already amazing evening. Can't say enough about these awesome people and their great food and approach to life. Took my wife for a quick lunch today - what a breath of fresh air - no hysteria, no masks, no virtue signaling, no BS, just lovely calm beings serving excellent tasty food. My fìrst time here last night & thoroughly enjoyed the ambience. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I had the Bengal bowl and it a fabulous nuance of flavour. We also tried the non alcohol sparkling wine which I absalutely loved. So nice to be surrounded by various Hindu gods. We will definitely be back soon... so patient with my girls too. This is a beautiful gift store and well worth a visit. I can recommend their Japanese incense sticks. The Cedar is particularly evocative. The food at the adjoining restaurant is also very good.

Kia ora. You will love this place! Every detail inside is beautiful and welcoming, there's a long table ready for a large group, beautifully set. The service is so lovely, we felt so special and we were there just for breakfast. The food was absolutely divine. We shared the Vegan big breakfast and the Plant Based breakfast dosa. Even the drinks were divine. I cannot recommend this experience enough, I'll definitely be back. While you are there, don't forget to check out the shop.

Our party of 5 was warmly greeted upon our arrival, and were shown to a perfect table. The menu is extensive and includes healthy smoothie options and lot's of different teas. I ordered the chia porridge and it was extremely delicious. Also had a long black that was piping hot and nice and strong. Everyone at our table, loved our experience here, and we will be back. Where to start? This is my favourite restaurant in town. They don't just serve up your standard vegetarian fare that every cafe defaults to. Their food is endlessly creative, artistically presented and delicious. The menu is extensive and all so tempting, it's always so hard to decide. Also can't go past their authentic Chai Latte's. It's such a lovely, calm, peaceful atmosphere at Lotus Heart that recharges the soul and they welcome everyone warmly, including children and have a fantastic kids menu.

We had a great time enjoying our lunch with friends there. The curry was cooked well with all of flavours. But rice was provided with limited amount. The peace bowl was displayed very well and I especially love the tempeh! But my personal request was not fulfilled. Otherwise, the dish itself as a whole was kinda plain. Service was awesome though. Seems a lot of people are giving negative reviews based on media coverage not because they have actually dined here... Ironic that in a time of travel restrictions a great number of negative reviews are from people that live no where near Christchurch..... Also in todays impersonal climate it was refreshing to see a smiling face and not a blank mask serving us.

Went here on a Friday for dinner. The restaurant is aesthetically designed and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was serene, thanks to the theme. The menu had interesting vegetarian/vegan dishes from different cuisines (mainly Indian). Staff were very courteous. Rarely have I seen a restaurant that went all out to ensure that customers were happy with the dishes served. When one of the customers was not satisfied with the dish, the chef from the kitchen personally came to the table and enquired about the problem. They even offered to not charge for the dish. Had nachos and found it to be really good. They also have a shop adjacent to the restaurant within their premises. Highly recommended if you are into vegetarian/vegan food!

Such a welcoming, calm environment. The staff are amazing and the food and drink is magic! My favourite place in Christchurch by far. It's a real shame to see so many awful reviews from people who probably haven't even been there, because of a silly article in stuff today complaining about the staff having mask exemptions. This is not a reflection of the amazing food, staff and environment simply a reflection of the half wits that have nothing better to do than buy into this cancel culture nonsense for a place sticking up for their rights!

Great food and amazing tea selection! Everything is veg and most can be made vegan easily. GF options as well. We tried one of the vegan burgers and the chipotle bowl. The burger was definitely the messiest veg burger I've ever eaten. Fell apart instantly. A little gem of a place, everything on the menu is delicious, and all vegetarian with a lot of vegan friendly options too. A wide selection of teas, juices, smoothies, and of course coffee. A very relaxing place to go for breakfast or lunch. Worth booking in advance though because it is usually abuzz with people. There is also a boutique health shop with plenty of giftworthy items and a very unique music shop full with an assortment of instruments, some of which I have never seen before. Well worth a look! Friendly helpful staff throughout make this a very welcoming place. There are also meditation classes and a spiritual side to the place, but you don't have to be interested in a spiritual journey to enjoy their great selection of fresh healthy food!

Lovely calm zen atmosphere. We were welcomed instantly on arrival and shown to our seats. The religion states no alcohol and this created a very calm, friendly atmosphere which was tangible. I ordered a vegan pizza and it was delicious, but quite small for a medium. The non alcoholic drinks were lovely, organic and so fresh. I'd eat here again on a special occasion. We loved the music shop also which is attached to the restaurant. A lovely experience.

I have been to the lotus heart a few times before for lunch and always had wonderful food especially the nachos and good friendly service. This time I went for breakfast , our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I couldn’t decide what to eat so I asked what they recommend and said I felt like something savoury ... I was recommended to have the crepes! So I yes I would try them! The waiter said “I’ll get you guys some water” 40 minutes later , still no water or food or drinks.. then finally the food arrived , we were the only people in the restaurant!! Me and my friend also ordered drinks which came out after the food?! Along side our water!? Not sure what was happening behind the kitchen ... was told “sorry all the orders have been coming in at the same time” to top it off my crepe was dry and taste less, I struggled to eat it. I was very disappointed :( the waiter was very friendly and did apologise which we appreciated.

We had such an amazing experience at the Lotus Heart. The staff are very friendly and provide excellent service and recommendations. The menu is very diverse for a vegetarian restaurant (curries, pizza and burgers). We loved the vegan curries and dumplings. We would have come back the next day for lunch and dinner if the restaurant was open on Sundays!

This place was awesome!!! The customer service was fantastic and the menu for dietary requirements such as GF and vegan is just great. We had nachos and a bowl of fries with vegan Aoli and it was very yummy along with the food. It was nice and quiet too most coffee shops are noisy but not this one... so if a quiet coffee or meal is you...you will love this place!

Charming quite restaurant with extensive vegitarian and vegan menu. Wait staff are friendly and unobtrusive. Food was delicious, well proportioned and well presented. They also have a cute little shop with a wide range of less common vegitarian/vegan ingredients. Will definitely go again.

The team working there are truly inspiring kind, gentle, healthy of heart and mind and always smiling. We just love going there and as we are now here in CC for the next few months it will be our special place to go on a daily basis. The Chai is the best in the world. A must place to visit if you are in CC and if you live here you are so lucky to have this wonderful place on your doorstep. The humming burger is incredible, and their chais... oh man, their chais. This is the standard to which all other chais should be held. I have been known to camp outside of their doors waiting for my chai fix on cold and frosty mornings when I'm actively running late for appointments. Do yourself a favour and treat yourself ASAP. Pro-tip: their holiday times are a bit different than standard, so definitely worth giving a call to check if they're open. Seriously though, I love this place.
