Loved the folded pizza (Calzone Paradiso) and the other authentic preps.

Lovely Italian food. Came here for dinner on our last night away and wasn’t disappointed.

Authentic Italian aperitivo vibes in the court/ backyard space with the owner meticulously eyeing tables and guests needs while extending warm greetings to all. We were in search of the best gourmet pizza in chch (for future takeout purposes) and we think we’ve found it here. I ordered both a Negroni and an espresso martini and they were perfected to a tee. I’d choose the sticky date pudding over the tiramisu though. A great date night option— buona sera 🥳

The customer service was great but I felt the food was lacking and it was not a particularly warm eve but we were caught in the middle of a cross draught with the front and back doors being kept open. I love Italian food but I left feeling empty. The menu unfortunately did not meet the expectation that the Tutto Bene name has made for itself. Additionally I love Al fresco eating when the temperature outside permits but I want to be comfortable when I am eating out and the whole barn door experience had us reaching for ourjackets and heading home prematurely just so that we could leave for the warmth of our cars. There are definitely other Italian restaurants in town where I would rather spend my money and get the real deal.

First time visiting Tutto Bene and we loved it. Lovely service from the young girls. The food and drinks were delish. My Risotto was so yummy and my daughter loved her Gnocchi . Thanks for having us...we will be back

One of the best restaurants in Christchurch. Staff very welcoming. Put a specific dish together for my partner who has a list of dietary requirements. Will definitely be back again.

Very good atmosphere and service and excellent quality food with good choices.

Beautiful food wide selection of wines and beverages fast seevice and friendly staff. Only thing that was an issue is there was only one toilet each male and female which I thought was crazy being a restaurant

Went in here for a team dinner while in christchurch. There were approx. 40 of us arriving at different times for a 2 hour sitting. They were very accommodating even though some of the group were late. Orders were taken without fuss and food came out pretty quickly. Had the carbonara which was good followed with Affogato Amaretto and Mama Cake. Very very nice and would go back here. This place was recommended to us and we would happily recommend it to others.

Good vibes to meet friends and have fun. Highly recommend their pizza. The dough was amazing. Overall, food was delivered promptly and service was great. Because my friends had special request, the waitress was very patient to resolve any problems with that. In terms of the taste, dishes were average but with good display. May come again to try other options.

Tutto Bene is an excellent restaurant with a pleasant and very happy and very buoyant atmosphere. Great Italian food with a comprehensive range of drinks. They even have a vegan menu. The seafood fettuccine was really very nice and very filling. Pays to book so you are not disappointed. Totally recommend this place as a must go. We came back the day after they re-opened on August 1st 2020. We were geeted at the door and made to feel most welcome. Again a superb meal in a relaxed atmosphere. I don't say this if I don't mean it but this place is a 'must go'!

This is my favourite Italian restaurant in town. Food was so delicious especially calzone and I finished my dinner with affogato. It was a perfect night out.

Nice place for a great pizza and pasta. Love the ambience. Staff are very friendly. This place is usually very busy over the weekends. If you plan to go there plan head and book your table. Even after you get there it takes very long for the food to come. We waited 50 mins for food. Although the pizza felt like it's worth the wait. And it's a bit expensive too. Over all a Lovely Place. Would definitely recommend.

Very Italian with Italian staff who are friendly and provide good service. The courtyard is a lovely area to dine if warm enough or at the front of the restaurant. I find the back part a little dark and noisy. Great selection of wines by the glass and food options to cater most people. Food was fairly fast and delicious. You will probably order too much however don’t worry they will wrap for you to take home!

It's awesome! Our waiter was great, the best service I have ever experienced! The overall atmosphere is very good, and it has become better through excellent customer service, showing their true care for customers!

I have been going to this restaurant for years and I will say everytime we've gone it has been amazing. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is like no other. All the staff are so friendly and inviting, they really do make you feel like family. It's good to see the place is still going strong with a good amount of customers. I look foward to my next visit.

Reservation recommended. Delicious authentic, Italian cuisine. "Real Italians make it better." Highly recommend the pizza bread appetizer. It's red white and green just like the Italian flag. ☺. Excellent service and generous portions. This was one of the best meals we had during our road trip throughout NZ.

Consistently excellent, both in food and atmosphere. Recently had a delightful vegan sticky date pudding and limoncello for dessert - a perfect ending to a perfect meal.

This pizzaria opens every day from 5pm, booking essential, parking lot at rear, I don't think it's wheel chair friendly inside but their outdoor seating can definitely accommodate wheelchairs. Pre-order welcome and staff are super friendly to children! Have I mentioned SUPER friendly? Not just one waiting staff but ALL of them!! We are certainly very impressed on this aspect! We tried 3 different flavoured pizzas, Tutto salad, and 2 pastas. They were amazing! The portion is HUGE for 6 adults and 2 toddlers, we had to pack home the pizzas. Decent price and really fresh and quality ingredients. Highly recommend.

Some of the best meals I've eaten. The veggie entre alone was delicious. Great vegan options. The photos don't do it justice at all. Staff and atmosphere were amazing. Highly recommend.

Italian with no marinara. 😔 Table outside in the cold. ❄ The worst lasagna I have ever had. Mince meat was all lumpy, dry and no flavor. This place is usually amazing with amazing staff.

Had wonderful evening at Tutto Bene Restaurant Christchurch. Staff were welcoming, friendly and made the evening of our 42nd Wedding Anniversary such a great night out. The food was amazing and we would recommend Tutto Bene dining ro anyone looking for a great Italian time out. Defintely want to return for more.

Delicious food and reasonable price, It is our long term favourite Italian restaurant since 2003! Kind people there too once I left my phone behind, staffs are very honest and kept safely for a few days which I thought will never find it again ….. excellent service Thank you!

Nice Italian food at slightly inflated prices. The decor is stereotypically Italian and the premises are nice and cosy for a cold night. We enjoyed the pizza (great crust and unique topping) and the carbonara pasta was above average. The scallop entree was great, but too expensive for the six small scallops it came with. Either decrease the price or give more (or bigger) scallops. When we were leaving we were accidentally double charged and I had to check the bill before I realised. Pizza, pasta, and scallop entree with two drinks comfortably fed two people and the bill came to approx $95. Overall a nice experience.

Sat outside as a warm evening. Helpful staff and the chef special was tasty. Italian wine recommendation was excellent.

So many delicious options and the staff are so friendly. The owner himself walking around checking on tables and singing songs makes for an incredible experience. The closest thing to Italy that I have experienced in Christchurch

Serving very good Italian food. You should not miss their Mama cake for dessert. It is a Tiramisu... One of the best I've tasted. Pizza was excellent and the staff was friendly. Very homely feel to this restaurant. Will always try to make it back whenever I'm in Christchurch.

Lovely meals as usual, really delicious. The staff are always great. Fantastic menu with lots of options. They even have a very impressive Vegan menu - the best one I've seen in Christchurch. We both really enjoy eating here. Only comment is they don't have any paper or any kind of straws and it was hard to drink the kind of mocktail I ordered without one. Next time I'll bring a metal straw.

Great food with a good atmosphere. Only downside was we were asked to move tables before we had dessert to allow for another booking. This was smoothed over with a couple of Limoncellos.

Tutto was a great experience. The staff was friendly, our meals came out at a reasonable time and I and all my friends thought our meals were delicious. I got the squid for starters and this truffle risotto and a pesto chicken pizza. 10/10 would come again.

Great atmosphere catered for my wee son (6 years old) also with a wordfind of all things. Great food and service not overbearing and in your face like some places. The meal was fantastic and the dessert was off the hook!

Every time we come to tutto Bene's everything is perfect and today was exactly the same. The food is absolutely incredible, the staff are attentive and friendly and I even got a candle in my dessert and the owner (I think) sang happy birthday and made me feel really special. Its always been so good for my two young boys too. They're welcomed and made a fuss of which makes dining out with children one million times easier. Thank you for a lovely meal and my making my birthday special.

Food was delicious! Loved my gnocchi but left still hungry :( We got the seafood special which again was delicious but very small and not a lot of seafood... We had a great Italian wine recommendation! Very expensive for the amount of food we were given. 100% would come back (only if I won the lottery)

Went to tutto bene on Sunday night with a group for a birthday dinner. The food was amazing. I had the vegetarian gnocchi which was delicious, especially loved the crispy sage. The service was good and a waitress kindly took a group photo for us. Would definitely book here again.

Excellent food, great service Update: revisited today. Entrees were good, risotto superb, the ravioli was undercooked at the edges, which made it diificult to finish. We brought this to the attention of the waiting staff, who were very apologetic and were going to talk to the staff and do something about it. When paying the bill we mentioned this again,but nothing was done about it. No discount, we felt it was quite an underwhelming response What used to be our favorites restaurant now no longer is. An undercooked dish is one thing, but not doing nothing to rectify this when it is brought to your attention is a no no.From a 5 star to a 3 star,and that is only because of the entrees, risotto and the friendly waitress. We will not be going here again. What a shame,we used to love this place

Everyone around the table seemed to have a great time. I would definitely say the food was pretty good. I wasnt quite as keen on my meal, but that's because I was a little adventurous is ordering. The potato skins probably needed a bit of seasoning. The Diavola pizza had olives and anchovies (and I'd never had anchovies before but now I know I dont like them) the one real problem I had with the pizza was the thick chunks of tomato, which I'm not a fan of on pizza for excess juice reasons. Still, if that's your sort of pizza I'd bet you love it. Its just not mine. The wine was excellent, the steal someone else ordered was absolutely beautiful and everyone who had pasta spoke very highly of it. I'd definitely recommend tutto bene, although I'll try something less adventurous next time

Hadn't been here for 13 years. The quality of the food and the excellent service were still as good as before. Highly recommend this for an authentic Italian meal.

Excellent meal had by all. Sirloin steak cooked to perfection. Tried the beef cheek ravioli will be having that next time.

Went to this place purely based on reviews. Thought that we cannot go wrong with some proper Italian food. Well, the first impression was good, liked the ambience and the staff was friendly as well. Then we decided to go for some pizzas (thinking that it would be the nest choice). Unfortunately we we’re a bit disappointed. If the toppings and the cheese was good, the dough itself was just bland and quite dry. Now, I’m no professional chef, but it wasn’t hard to tell that the dough (which in my opinion is always a sign of a good/bad pizza) was just sad. We had to put quite a bit of salt to balance out the flavors that the dough lacked. Sad to say, but I wouldn’t order a pizza there again.

Good vegan ootions. Crispy potato skins were crispy and hot. The vegan pizza was delicious. The Gelato for dessert finished it nicely. Friendly staff and very busy. Probably a local favorite.

Went here a month or so ago on a date with my boyfriend and the food was amazing!! Our server was excellent and he stayed at our table to chat and have a laugh! Overall, it was a great night! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Service was excellent. I has spaghetti bolognese, I ate every mosal, tasti and well balanced, enjoyed my glass of red with it. . My friends really enjoyed there meal, also with a glass of wine. Extend menu of Italian dishes. We had a wonderful a delicious mushroom and pepperoni thin crust pizza. Very nice atmosphere with an extensive bar menu including European beers. Friendly service with street parking on a commercial street.

Dining in here for a birthday was a wonderful experience. The food is pretty amazing and so tasty. Prepared with some talented chefs in the kitchen. The staff were delightful and went to the extra effort to make us feel comfortable and welcome. A little bit loud from a pretty jolly group that came in after us, all in all A great time.

Tutto Bene is usually fantastic. Great food, great atmosphere, great service. I'd normally give this place a 5 star, but, sadly tonight they let us down. Our daughter ordered one of the salads. It came with 3 incy pieces of chicken, she actually had to look through the salad to try and find them (!!!) and instead of the cherry tomatoes ( as on the menu description) it was a normal tomato cup up ☹️ also a very small portion. We were to have our table from 6:30-8:00pm but they started to ask us to leave at 7:40!!! (All be it, nicely). Come on Tutto Bene, you can do better than this!!! 😡😡

We had our office Christmas Dinner at Tutto Bene last week and we couldn't have asked for better service! Food was delicious! They catered brilliantly to food my allergies. In fact went 'above and beyond' to ensure that my dietary needs were met, and they had plenty on the menu that was suitable. I highly recommend Tutto Bene 😊

Absolutely outstanding food. Met up with an old family friend who claims he "hasn't had Italian food this good since he was in Italy". What first looks like a tiny hole in the wall pizza joint, flourishes into an expansive restaurant with ravioli to die for. From the prosciutto and melon appetizer to the aged port dessert wine you'll enjoy everything Tutto Bene has to offer. Not to mention, to wonderful service!

I’ve been to Tutto Bene a few times with my partner and we’ve always loved it! Great selection of delicious food and wine, very fun, welcoming, knowledgeable staff with helpful recommendations. We took our boy with us on our last visit and he loved it as well. Great for a family meal or date night.

Tutto Bene is always good. I try to get here whenever I am in Christchurch. Tonight was especially great. Elle from Toronto (Canadian not American) had a fantastic knowledge of the menu, the flavours and which wines best matched each dish. She was also hilarious company and remembered each person's name. Thanks for a great night out.

My mushroom risotto was delicious. The place was packed. Service was superb. Can be really noisy since it is so popular but certainly a positive vibe!

Just wow. Great menu and great atmosphere. Expect to pay a little bit more, after all it's Merivale. Well worth it though. A great experience. I'll be back for sure.

I visited Tutto Bene while in Christchurch for work and I only wish that I was there longer to be able to try more of the vegan menu they have. The pizza was fantastic, I ordered a medium but it felt like a large. Service was a little slow at first but I could understand why, they were so busy with a large party and every other table was full, on a Monday night of all nights. Seeing how busy it was told me and my omnivorous colleague we were in for a good meal, we left fully satisfied.

Couldn't have asked for a better night out with the misses. Amazing Pizzas and Pastas, peered with a great NZ wine, can't ask for much more. On top of this the staff were extremely energetic and really brought everything together. Will definitely be going back.

The service was great. I ordered polenta chips which was great nice and crispy from outside and soft from inside. Then I order ed pizza vegan one which was great And I also order mocktail which was very good and refreshing love to go over there again

Easily the best Italian restaurant in Christchurch! The most friendly welcoming staff. Pizzas are delicious and so is the steak (but all the dishes are excellent quality fresh food). We eat here often and recommend everyone to eat here also for guaranteed amazing food! Make sure you book though as they are always busy :)

Celebrated my birthday here this evening. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic and the candle on my dessert was the cherry on the cake. The hands-on owner makes each person feel welcome. We'll definitely be back when we're in Christchurch again.

Came here last night for dinner for a friends birthday and oh my gosh!! Food was amazing!! Our waitress was incredible. Such a lovely personality. Will definitely come back again.

Extremely noisy... Almost too noisy. Chatter was loud but fine but chairs scraping and plates crashing was too much. Italian restaurants are usually noisy but this was over the top. Food was tasty and looked great on the plate. Would go again but wd consider my mood and whether I needed to talk and hear my dinner companions.

Pleasant atmosphere with a large and diverse menu. The standard of food can be a bit hit and miss at times, but is always acceptable or better. You will need to book at peak times as it can get very busy. This can also make it very noisy although in summer, the outdoor dining area is very relaxing. Pricing is average. A great place for tasty authentic Italian food, it's better suited to a night out with friends than a cosy romantic evening with your loved one.

Just perfect. The quality of the food, professional, friendly service was exemplary. Our Brazilian waitress made us laugh throughout the meal. Thank you so much for a memorable evening. Will definitely return.

Really good and friendly staff. Big restaurant with plenty of place. The pizza was okay, not the best, but it depends on how you like it. The dough could be a little bit more thin. If I could give four and a half stars, I would.

This was a very good place for authentic Italian food. The food quality and quantity was very good and the staff was very friendly. The restaurant is a bit pricey however I believe that it is worth it since the quality and authenticity. This is a must try place in Christchurch

Delicious food but felt the servings for the mains were very small. Really entree size.

Very nice staff, the Pizzeria is very cozy and suggest to do a reservation if you plan to have dinner. While the food and the pizza is great, expect it to be with a more thick crust and a number of toppings. Also, there are some more exotic choices for pizza toppings availble.

We dined here in early January whilst in christchurch for the night.The place was packed and full of a great convivial atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly and helpful about the menu. They knew their food and wine well.I have a hearing defecit and often find restaurants playing music so loud I cant hear my partner talking. However this was not he case here - I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and most certainly recommend anyone to try it. We will be back Thank you

This place was a real disappointment and not what we are used to in Italy. We went there because of the excellent rating on tripadvisor and google but the pizza was just „okay“ and too expensive. The crust was dry and flavourless. Not like a real italian pizza! The waiters were friendly and there are a lot of tables to sit, but unfortunatly the food was not as expected.

Returned for my third visit and it was the best yet. Food was delish. You could taste the love. Gnocchi didnt quite reach "pillowy" status but it was very close and the flavors were divine. Market fish was well executed and beautifully presented. Wine list is extensive, there is lots to choose from and all is reasonably priced. Unfortunately we were at the table closest to the front door and every time a customer walked in we got the cold draft. It was also the most cramped part of the restaurant and a little awkward at times, had to cross entire restaurant to use the bathroom. On my next visit I'll be requesting a table within the large main dining area. Our visit was a Saturday so the restaurant was very busy nevertheless I commend the staff on their ability to get to every table within a reasonable time frame. The meals were ready in a flash! entrees and mains out in under 20 minutes. Overall a great dining experience. Will head back in the near future.

Always accom dating, charming. Excellent service. very international staff obviously taught to TALK with patrons,( not just serve and slide away). The staff make the place actually. And the eaters. Oh and the food. OH and me. It's a great European atmosphere in Christchurch. Love it. Specially recommend the pizza bread.

really good vegan menu!! The pizza base was a little thin like a cracker and didn't have the same bubbles as my parents' pizzas- but everything else is good and really nice staff.

The staff there are really nice and friendly, like they really care. They also say happy birthday and put a candle on your food if someone mentions a birthday in the room. Very fun people. I highly recommend the panna cotta dessert.

Had a meal here (lasagne) last night. Food was very good as usual - and if you're in the mood for a dessert can recommend the panncotta. The beer selection was better than I expected - the Golden Goose lager from Golden Bay is one I haven't tried before.

One of the best eating experiences I've had in Christchurch in 15 years. The Arancini Balls were divine for a starter. Light, Crispy and Tasty. The mains we had were groper on Beetroot Risotto and Beef Cheek Gnocci. Both were delicious. We finished with tiramisu which was also amazing. And the service was 10/10. Cannot fault this amazing place and cant wait to go back!

AHH-MAZING!!! These guys are THE BEST!! After my original booking at a nearby restaurant was double-booked, I rang Tutto Bene to see if they could accommodate 20 people in 5 minutes! They COULD and they DID! We sat outside in the courtyard, perfect weather, incredible service, delicious food, and brilliant company! From now on, they will be my FIRST CHOICE!! Highly recommend!!

Pasta was delicious but not a lot of it, I had to order a pizza to go with it. Pizza was also delicious so I'm not complaining.

We were in Christchurch for two nights, found this place on the first day and returned for seconds the next evening. Great atmosphere, great service. Although we didn't have a booking, the waitress shuffled things around to accommodate us. Highly recommendable!

Always excited to go for dinner to Tutto Bene when I'm in Christchurch. The atmosphere is awesome. The house manager 'Lugiano' is wonderful. He greats everyone as if his known you for years with a hug and a kiss and a friendly chat. Food is fantastic, authentic Italian and prices are not over extravagant. A must when visiting Christchurch. A+

First visit to Tutto Bene and will not be the last. A 6pm booking on Wednesday evening saw a packed restaurant with happy customers, very friendly staff and a really authentic, buzzy vibe. From a small eating area out front, it opens, Tardis like, into a large rear room, with access to a good sized outdoor area to boot. A large menu with lots to choose from, made deciding difficult. We settled on beef cheek gnocchi and beef ravioli in a creamy mushroom and pepper sauce, with a starter to share of focaccia bruschetta with pesto, burrata and crispy prosciutto. Large enough starters to share and as for mains, the gnocchi was feather light and the ravioli dish was exceptional. Good value, prompt and efficient service, will make the trip into town again happily. Oh and the wine list happens to be very good too!

Had the Canterbury Lamb. Cooked to perfection. The 5 broad beans were delicious but to be honest, looked lonely on the plate.

The food is just okay, not exceptional at all. Because of that I feel the price doesn't correlate with the quality of the food. The service is very good and the ambiance is nice! It wasn't a disaster, and would go back if I was invited along by someone else.

Got an XL Margherita pizza to takeaway and enjoyed a glass of Edge Pinot Noir while I waited. The wine was very nice and the pizza was ready before I’d even finished my glass. Generously sized pizza that tasted delicious. Friendly staff, great service.

The pizza bread and the polenta chips were absolutely divine how ever the mains we ordered were very average. We had the Margherita and Pollo Pesto pizzas which were very poor for an Italian restaurant. On the bright side the Braised Beef Ravioli was delicious, Im tempted to come back and try some of their pastas but definitely not for the pizza. Other than the food, the staff were great and very friendly.

Ordered a Spegittie bolanese and grappa. The meat sauce was not seasoned. Also lacking in flavour, taste flat and chunky mince. Grappa was very lacking quality had a unpleasant after taste compare with the best from Italy. Was going to try the tiramisu but lost confidence after poor mains. Expensive expresso at $4. Will not be back.

What an incredibly disappointing meal. Both main meals contained seafood and both were very unpleasant. The seafood was not fresh and the prawns were so close to being off they were inedible. We raised our concerns with two separate waiters and although sympathetic to our complaints did nothing about it. One of the waiters even had the cheek to state that "of course the seafood isn't fresh, it has been frozen". I would have been happy to have been served recently caught seafood that had just been thawed and cooked, but instead the seafood was more likely to be days old and possibly frozen more than once. I have eaten better seafood in a small mining town in the heart of Australia and Christchurch is a little bit close to the sea than that! This place is relying on their reputation which will not last if they continue to produce such horrible food.

I tried the chicken meatball pasta and my wife had the seafood one... it was very crowded... we had our food to go because we couldn't get a seat.. but when I went there to get the food it was packed full... I suppose maybe that's the Italian dining thing.. very big families loud and having a grand time... but it's not for the romantic dining experience...
