If there were more stars to rate 27 Steps, I'd probably use them all. We had a family birthday day (a group of six adults and one child) and everything was amazing! Our bubbly and super friendly server Nova was the highlight for us, she was just so much fun and attentive, nothing was a problem and everything was done with a smile. The food came out in good time, and was absolutely delicious! Even the bread at the start was amazing. There's a great wine menu too, some nice beers and it's such a cool location on Christchurch's New Regent Street where the tram goes past. 100% recommend Twenty Seven Steps.

Absolutely beautiful lamb rack. And the dessert is to die for. Staff is very friendly.

The food, service and atmosphere there are great. The taste is so good that the meat melts in your mouth. If you want a good dining experience, then I strongly recommend you to come here, there are many types of food, and quite distinctive.

This restaurant is spectacular. The staff were wonderful. Each meal was truly perfect. The only downside was how closely we were seated to another table, it felt like less than a metre. However, everything else was incredible.

Seriously delicious food. Fabulous service. Lovely atmosphere. Great for date night but tonight was a girls night out and that was fantastic! (Also managed to cater to my sister's intolerant tummy!)

A lovely restaurant upstairs (as the name suggests) on New Regent Street, we were lucky enough to have dinner here on a Thursday evening with a 7:45pm booking, all the tables were full, and it remained that way pretty much for the duration of our meal there. The staff were super friendly and efficient, anticipating our next steps without being overly obtrusive. Emma, our host, was brilliant, so enthusiastic which when you have such a fantastic product on offer is easier to do knowing the team behind you will deliver, and deliver they did. We had the fried blue cheese for a beginning', the groper and venison for our 'middle', and the sticky toffee pudding for our 'end'.
All of the dishes were top notch, well balanced, nicely cooked and well presented congratulations to the team behind the scenes preparing them all.
This restaurant is definitely worth a visit, I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Always a great experience to dine here. Divine food and great professional care. Would appreciate an increase in the selection of red wines, perhaps another cab sav?

Outstanding food and extensive wine list - if you're looking for an exceptional dining experience, book well in advance at 27 Steps to make sure you get a table! My venison was melt in the mouth, and wifeys lamb two ways was a knockout. Paired my venison with Mishas High Note Pinot Noir, and was a very happy lad!

First of all.. If you can try and book 48 hours ahead.. We were lucky to even get a table on a Tuesday night after NZ Labour weekend and the place was busy busy.. Waitresses absolutely know the menu inside out.. Our waitress when asked recommended a Red to go with the Chefs Special aged Sirloin and it was the perfect Red to have. A very extensive wine list and all priced sensibly. A truly memorable meal on our last night in Christchurch...
