C.This place is definitely a must go for any vegetarian/vegan in Christchurch. The plates are big, amazing quality and flavors, and the service is fast and great! I recommend going with friends and order different plates because their menu is HUGE so there’s heaps of options to try. I am absolutely in love with the coconut rice, I swear I could easily eat a huge bowl on my own. I will definitely return! Also, lots of Gluten free options which is great for those with sensitive stomatch :)

K.There is such a large variety of dishes and they are ALL delicious! Highly recommended for Vegans and Vegetarians, but my meat eating friends love the food here just as much. Oh, and try the mushroom jerky you can get on the counter sometimes (when I haven't already brought it all!). So good.

Most of the dishes can also be ordered wheat free, which is a great option for people with sensitivities.
Unlike other reviewers, I do not find their dishes overpriced. Paying $60 for two starters, three mains and drinks is great value to me - half the food we took home!
Absolutely recommend going here.
Tip: drinks come with straws, so ask for no straw if that’s something you try to avoid!

03/11/2017 - Tonight's dinner (and drinks) - Lychee drink, Icy Chocolate with Ice Cream, Tom Yum mushroom soup, Stir Fry Flat Rice Noodle and Soysage Veggy Rice. Fantastic vegetarian food. 😋
Extensive selections (approximately 140 dishes) and delicious vegetarian (vegan) menu (see online for menu). They serve quality vegetarian food and is well priced from $9 to $18 per main while the drinks and desserts only cost between $1.50 to $5.50.
I came here with my daughter to try something different. Rather than having meats tonight, we have decided to try vegetarian cuisine. I found this place via Google Map and decided to give it a try. When we arrived, there were only three occupied tables. We sat down and looked at the menu. We were a slightly overwhelmed when we first saw the menu as this is the first time we came here and not sure what to expect. We took awhile to decide what we want to eat after extensively going through the menu!
We decided to order: 9 steam dumplings, single [serving] tom yum mushroom soup, regular size stir fry flat rice noodle and regular size soysage veggy rice (see the photos, except the dumplings as we ate it too quickly). By the way, the main dishes come in two sizes; regular or large portion.
The tom yum mushroom soup (entrée) was very tasty, and the dumplings are flavoursome and we enjoyed it very much. The sliced vegan sausages do taste like real meat sausages. The stir fry flat noodle is slightly bland with my daughter needing to add some tomato sauce to improve the flavour.
The place is slightly dated but cosy atmosphere. Comfy seating. Friendly staff.
My daughter is a very slow eater and took her awhile to finish, and we never feel rushed to finish our meals.
After we finish our dinner, it was time for the bill. It all came to $43.30. After I paid and gone, I rechecked the amount at home (based on the online menu), and found that I was slightly overcharged by $3.70. Not going to break the bank any time soon but would be good if the owner can double check with me and/ or calculate the invoice twice.
Would I go back? Yes.
Would I recommend this? Yes, the food is definitely a hit but do check the bill before paying.
R.This is a simple restaurant serving excellent East Asian food. The place was packed on a Friday evening but we managed to get a table. The person attending to us was helpful and gave us suggestions on what we could try. The fried spring rolls and noodles I had here were very tasty, though I must admit, I am not a big fan of Chinese food. The restaurant also offers some fruit juice and desserts, in addition to East Asian cuisine.
G.Always have fantastic experiences here, the service is so good and you never have to wait long for your food. Beautiful Chinese that tasted light and non greasy unlike most Chinese restaurants. Also so so so affordable. 10/10 will always come back to this beautiful wee restaurant

T.A fantastic vegetarian restaurant in Christchurch with lots of menu options, varieties and tastes. Affordable yummy and healthy food on offer that your tummy and heart will be fully satisfied with. "Lunch special take away only" is also very attractive and value for money, thanks to the business owner! Highly recommended so come and try for yourselves :-)

S.We came across this little restaurant by a happy accident and wandered in, enticed by the happy diners inside and the tasty smells. We missed the point that it is a vegetarian/vegan restaurant but had probably the best Chinese meal we’ve ever eaten. My 10 year old son even raved about his first taste of Tofu. Friendly service, great prices and fresh, tasty meals. We’ll definitely be back!

s.Never occured to me to stop by and try this restaurant. Doesn't look too attractive from the outside, but the food is actually quite alright. We had eggplant tofu and Udon. Delicious and quite big portion, well priced too. Staff are nice and friendly and took the time to walk us through the menu, made our experience a really pleasant one.

S.Excellent cafe. The food was very good - fresh, tasty and flavorful. The portions seemed a bit smaller than at other Chinese restaurants, but the quality more than made up for it. I don't recollect any restaurant specific parking but you should be able to find something on the nearby streets.

A.Simply the best vegetarian food in christchurch and the greatest staff! My favorite are the claypots and the red roast. We often take groups of non vegetarians here and the only complaint I've heard is they want to try more of the 140+ dishes, but are too full to eat any more!

N.140 dishes to get indecisive about, of which the overwhelming majority are vegan too. Mushrooms feature heavily, with a few western dishes to enjoy, but for the most part it's Chinese style (as the name suggests). Well priced, but does get quite crowded and a bit noisy, surely a sign of a much loved institution.

I.Yay! All vegetarian and some vegan too. Very large range of dishes, brown rice optional, steamed buns with veggie fillings for a carb loaded treat. Exercise your Mandarin and I suspect the menu opens up even more. Happy to do takeaways and quick service. A must to check out first any vegetarian and I bet meat lovers wouldn't really notice they are missing anything. Cosy seating on site too.
