Asian Street food is the description on their signs. They attempt several different countries but could be better sticking with one. I had Szechaun noodles. Noddle was good nice and chewy nice broth but for something that was billed as spicy I had to order more chilli oil. People seemed to be ordering the bao mostly so this was probably the item to order. Maybe next time.

The beef Curry was average, tough meat and not a lot of flavor. The chicken noodles were too oily, but otherwise ok.

1st March 2018 - I went to buy my lunch but I wasn’t sure what I want to get. I wandered into the BNZ centre and came across to this little Chinese restaurant and takeaway shop. It is on the left as you walk through a passage from the Hereford Street. It was packed with people and I guessed that the food must be good (well, the shop is quite small and not much dining space). I went in and had a look at their menus, and I ordered a takeaway Sichuan noodle dish called Dan Dan noodle (担担面). The waitress asked if I want "Kiwi", normal or extra spiciness. I went with normal spiciness which was the right choice (I could imagine that extra will be quite hot and spicy). I took it back to my office and it was still hot when I opened the lid. The smell of black peppercorns, chilli flakes and the chilli oil, was too much to resist. I ate three mouthful and I've felt the spiciness. I started to sweat as it was hot but delicious and full of flavor. This is one of the best Dan Dan noodle that I had in New Zealand for some time. I finished the whole bowl including the soup because it was yummy. Large portion size and is good value for money.
They accept cash, Eftpos and credit card payments for those who want to know (i.e. visitors).
Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. Good taste and well-worth it for a quick lunch.
Ambience: ⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. Make sure you find a seat before ordering. They are usually (most of the time) busy around lunch time, from 11.30ish am to 2 pm.
Price: ⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. Reasonable priced, for a fast food restaurant.
Would I go back? I will definitely go back to buy lunch again.

Satisfy yourself on a hot day with something different than just a smoothie - Bubble waffle ice-cream is an innovative style of snacking imported directly from the Hong Kong street food scene. Choose your flavoured ice-cream and then toppings. Grab a serviette or two as this stuff is dripping delicious. It will quench your thirst and hunger at the same time.

This is a really good Asian styled restaurant in the heart of town. In the BNZ centres central court it has a pretty decent menu. Their bao buns are amazing. The portions are quite generous and service is quick. It's a nice place to sit in or with all the outdoor seating it's great on a nice day to pull up outside and relax with some good food. Service is good and staff seem friendly enough.
