J.I enjoyed the food. I have been here several times over the years, and will continue to do so. Tables are mostly accompanied with salt & pepper and vinegar. Stack of chairs is a bit messy considering it offers dine in. Display fridges have plenty of drink options and stock. As of January 2022 a piece of battered snapper is $7.80. Small chips $3.50. Large chips $7.00. 1.5lt Coke range $4.50.
i.Best fish and chips I have had in my entire life! Hubby and I were blown away by the quality and freshness! We will find excuses to travel out there just for the fish and chips and sample more of their menu. VERY impressed!
n.I have taste the food from this place once, it was a tad bit oily but I think because it was a busy day the food just hadn't been drained long enough before being wrapped. Other then that the food still taste amazing!! I love the fish and my Nana and sister have been a few times now and they always get the battered oysters and mussels. My kids also love the fish and chips. So highly recommend!!!

You have to get batterd oysters from here, simply to die for.
The fish is what ever has been caught on the day and is superb.
The fellow that runs it is friendly and efficient ( you'll understand that comment if you go there).

T.Level 3 fish and chips at Clevdon Seafoods Take away. Did really well with Covid responsibility. It was a cold bitter day so he said wait in your car😊. When the order was ready as you see he brought it to the railing for us to pick up. Some times it's the little things. We were probably really lucky to hit a quiet patch and he still went the extra mile. I know they were busy as we were waiting at least 6 other customers had turned up.
By the way the fish and chips were outstanding.
We ate them down at the Clevdon bridge.
A.Snapper meal was very good! It's taken a while to find a decent snapper meal and that was worth the $25ish Paid, delicious fresh salad....good food good service good rating😊
P.Excellent fish and chips. Fish was delicious and cooked to perfection! Only thing I can criticise is it was a little oily, just needed to be drained longer after cooking. Would highly recommend!

S.Inflation has driven these fellas cheap prices up to still a HECKIN reasonable pricing layout. Arguably the best hot chips in all of Auckland 😍 can't get enough of em. Huge range of kai with bakery food and a large takeaway list. Not to mention real fruit ice cream 🤤. Support THIS local business y'all xx.

B.Reading the other reviews I am giving them 3 stars because they obviously do fish and chips well. The cakes and slices cabinets was the worst presented I've ever seen and I didn't fancy buying anything out of them. They slices were mis-shapen as was was the solitary chocolate cake. On the plus side they served my tea in a mug, the way I like it. The location is great and they have plenty off covered seating: perfect as it is day of heavy Auckland rain. It's too early for dinner otherwise I would try the fish and chips. I am sure they would meet the standard described by everyone else but the bakery side use only 1 star.
M.I ordered snapper and chips. The snapper was lovely...and fresh, a good portion of nicely cooked chips, atmosphere was friendly. Seemed very popular. I would definitely visit again. Seemed a little expensive but maybe costs need to be covered
S.By far one of the best fish and chips I have had in a little while. All the places I have tried recently in Auckland were a bit of a disappointment, so was very pleased when I had their lightly battered fresh fish. I loved there was an outdoor sitting area as well. You are paying takeaway price for the quality you would get in a nice cafe or restaurant.
Their apple turnover from the bakery section was also delicious

L.Great fish and chips, potion size was big and offers very good service. Has free tomato sauce and malt vinegar on the table which is a plus, very spacious seating great for kids. We ordered combo deal for 8 people they kindly potioned it onto 8 separate plates and free cups for the drinks.

Twenty dollars buys you two plates of snapper and chips. Wash it down with Bundaberg ginger beer.
Lots of other seafood choices too.
Staff always pleasant and helpful. Make sure to read the local Coffee News when you are there.
Wander down to one of the local dairies and pick up an ice cream for dessert. Pop into the grog shop next door to the dairy to buy the best port wine from Clevedon Hills, Leighton's Port! Drive back through the picturesque North Road to Maraetai Beach for a swim in the sea or just soak up the great view.
