Couldn't fault the service and menu selection. We visited for a Sunday lunch and although it was quite busy, the staff were attentive and friendly. The wine and beer was cold and the pulled pork pizza and fries were spot on. Thanks guys. Keep up the good work.

Great place, we came here for lunch on our way to Twizel. It was very nice, we had shrimp linguine and crispy chicken burger. Nice setting outside and inside. There are two restaurants actually, one licensed with a bar and another one next to it without the bar but great for kids. Menu is the same, I think the one also had bar snacks and the pizzas!

Freindly service. Great coffee. Meals were a bit hit and miss. Venison pie was great. Blue cod was good one day oily another day. The pizza was full of meat. A big serving but came out cold in places. It was much better when I reheated it at home.

Pizza and chips nice. Table service pretty slow but they were under the pump. Had to ask for salt, pepper & serviettes. No cutlery on table. Asked for a pint of cider, got a bottle. Asked if we could place another drink order after our meal. Waitress said she would be over in a couple of minutes, 20 minutes later we left, not having had another drink.

Husband and l went to 5 stags 2 weeks ago for dinner very very disappointed husband ordered poached fish which he said was ok, l ordered the BRAISED PORK when l got it it was not BRAISED PORK like the nenu said but a GRILLED PORK CHOP the chop was burnt one side they put that side down on the plate hoping l would not notice, l sent it back the so-called chef he replaced it with 2 blue pieces of pork steak.I am not a chef but a cook and have cooked in quite a few hotels and know that a BRAISED PORK CHOP is not cooked on the GRILL. I feel that the chef should go back to school or get the cook book out and read it. Come on Glenn get them to get their act together before you lose more customers.

Great place, gorgeous food, especially the Spare ribs. Friendly staff however rowdy people in and out of the bar added to the noise factor, totally not necessary . Keep your pass ready, its all checked.

Would not recommend the bread and selection of spreads ....it came out with 2 knife spreads thinly spread on the board , was not enuff for the mini bread loaf which consisted of 6 slices...bread loaf was very heavy and doughy...had the half pork spare ribs which was very filling and perfectly cooked .....staff were great

Great way to end a stunning day in Cromwell. Beautiful outdoor area. We were served by a Yorkshire lass (Lauren) who was amazing, despite it being a busy night we got great service, nothing was a problem and most importantly the food was great. We will be back!!!

Have dined in a couple of times in the last year or so and the service, food and decor was absolutely amazing. Last night ordered takeaway pizza. Well it was hands down the best pizza I've ever had by far. And extremely well thought out planning during covid 19 level 3. Am currently eating leftovers and it's still delicious. Kind regards

Good service, drinks were good but I had the beef burger and it was quite spicy (this was not mentioned in the menu) bit disappointing but still ate half. Definitely would go back, the new summer menu has such a good variety on it.

Love love love the food here, been here twice and am going to try to experience each dish once at least! Great ambiance and vibe, can tale kids too they are fully catered for.
