A.Catalyst is my #1 go to place to eat in Dunedin.
Having lived here my whole life, I've always battled with what Cafe's to recommend to friends when they are down to visit as nothing is very stand out. Catalyst provides a stand out service, and an extraordinary menu that caters to people of all variety.
They are very great with any food allergies or dietary requirements. I love to park up here to do my work emails as the cafe provides a calming yet vibrant atmosphere where I feel inspired to stay and do my work.
Their choices in suppliers is impressive as I see they use local sources for all of their food. Most impressive, is their coffee beans from Kokako, which are my all time favourite.
Catalyst is the only place I know in Dunedin that does my beloved Matcha latte, as an Auckland resident myself - I couldn't believe it when I saw this on the menu here.
I have also seen Catalyst's social media promoting beach cleans and other corporate social responsible activities which is really impressive.
10/10 would recommend.

L.The takeaway meal I received from Catalyst was very easy to assemble and delicious. The seed loaf came with good instructions and is a very tasty loaf with a great texture. The tomato pesto is also very flavoursome. A 10/10 from me💫

R.Gorgeous, well thought out food with the use of super-foods making it delicious and healthy. Great presentation, love the use of flowers and vibrant food colours. Good coffees too. Staff are friendly, welcoming and efficient. The lay-out of the cafe is fabulous and the upstairs courtyard is great on warm days. Bathrooms are very clean
M.Nourishing, flavourful, interesting food which has a raw food twist. It was hard to choose just one delicious option as it ALL sounded/ looked good. Staff are always conscientious & friendly. Surroundings stylish + inviting. Highly recommend to all. You must check this place out.

C.Really lovely. Very clean and staff welcoming. Food amazing. Parking though can be a problem. If you don't mind a bit of a walk if you can't get a park in the front area it is worth walking to get a lovely meal 😋

A.So good! Been there 3 times in my 2 trips to Dunedin so far. There are so many GF and DF options which are super tasty, but also caters for people who can eat anything with really delicious options like pulled pork burgers, eggs bennies, full breakfasts.
Highly recommend the buckwheat and brown rice porridge and the waffles are next level.

G.It did the trick. Relatively healthy items. A little more $ than some places but it's a nice space and rent probably ain't cheap. Had the avo dish and green benne dish. Good portioning.. not too puny or gigantic. The short and long blacks were above board and the cold brew tap taster was nice.
M.Just had a wonderful breakfast here. Food and surroundings fantastic. Give This place a try. I'm very picky where I eat and this place hits all the spots. Staff wonderful and very honest. We were overcharged and didn't know and the young lady came over and explained what her assistant had done. The refunded money will be spent on coffee back here tomorrow. Well done guys..
P.Absolutely the best eggs Benny ever. The homemade seed bread is so rich and delicious and more seeds than bread. Also Love the way the tea is presented you don't feel like a second class diner as you often in other less fabulous establishments. The decor is fresh and fits well with the healthy menu. Brilliant job team hope to be a regular.

S.First impression last year was that this was the best cafe in Dunedin sadly that has changed and I would no longer recommend. The food was all though pricier worth every penny we spent. Quick and the girl who served us was spectacular, made us feel as though we were at a friends house. The bitter girl behind the coffee machine was the worst customer service employee I have come across. Sour looking lady, wouldn't smile at us or greet us when we came in. Coffee was bitter my wife had a sip and left it.
A let down but there are so many cafes in Dunedin who wouldn't tolerate that behaviour which doesn't say much for the business and has made us reflect where we go.

C.Came here for a very late lunch not long before closing. I chose a medium salad made with cauliflower and quinoa which was very nice. I also had berry tea which was good too. My friend had a pinwheel which she said was very tasty and a herbal tea. Would love to go back to see what other tasty morsals they have. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

J.Food was very good, very clean and tidy place but while the service received was efficient, it wasn't overly friendly.
J.Delicious food, hats off to chefs. Friendly and vibrant floor member who made an effort with every individual customer despite being busy. Only let down is very rude and miserable barista who made terrible coffee. A let down for the potential this cafe has and the effort that has clearly been involved in running this establishment.
