A.Mainly Japanese but with a twist, kind of like Asian fusion food. Rice with fries for example.
Pros: Portion is big enough for the price of $15 per meal. Food also tastes quite good.
Cons: Not many options to choose from the menu. Not a fan of the pickles. Closed early (8 pm).
I.Don’t even know the name of the dish but it was very nice. Chicken was very tender, too much sauce for my liking but tasted good nonetheless.
R.It is a wee gem in the city centre which offers the best Chicken Katsu. 5 stars for all the dishes that's I've ordered, they were huge!
Reasonable price with excellent food. The Chashu Pork's fat got a lots texture in it. And the Chinken Katsu is a must try!! Definitely will come back for the Chicken Katsu and try another dishes!
Y.Been going to here for a while now and although over time their menu has decreased probably due to the pandemic, it is still one of my favourite places to eat. Small place but food comes fast. Love everything on their menu but my fav is definitely the ramen which is always so filling (for me at least). The guys that work there are chill and friendly. All in all a student favorite. ❣️

R.A real wee gem hidden on George street. I got their katsu ramen and a side of fries (only $3 for the fries pictured below!). This was about $15 total, a very cheap price. The ramen was massive and so delicious. I would have been fine without the fries- I couldn't finish in the end!
The crumbed chicken was nice and crispy and the texture of the noodles was great. My friend also loved her meal (pictured below, last pic).
I would definitely recommend! Great atmosphere and very prompt service.

S.A mix of korean and japanese cuisine. Food was good but not great. The portion is definitely worth the price. Got the meal me and my friends ordered a bit late but still bearable.

A.Beautiful presentation, very friendly staff. The bowel looks like it’s stuffed full but unfortunately it’s a lot on the surface and not much under the surface. The broth was pretty good but nothing to write home about.

S.Super clean restaurant with friendly owners. Best wishes in my opinion are Chicken Ramen and Pork Ramen. These come with rice, kimchi and pickled reddish also. Seatings are limited so may appear a bit crowded at peak times. All in all a five star local favourite.

G.I often go for the Sweet and Spicy Korean Pop Chicken meal. It's always a generous allotment of fried chicken, and the additional portions of fries, rice, and salad make for a comprehensive spectrum of sides for enjoyment of this bountiful meal. Hoorah kids

A.Delicious. Great atmosphere. Fresh hot chips. I ate here with four people including me and the total amount of time we were waiting was less than 5 minutes. The food is worth the $. Would highly recommend eating here.
Teriyaki chicken was what I purchased. Best I’ve had in Dunedin.

J.Really nice and cozy little gem in Dunedin. I liked the nice little touches they had in there, such as flavouring their water with orange slices.
I ordered Pork Chashu ramen. The food is amazing, portion is generous, and the presentation is quite pretty. They've obviously put in a lot of thoughts behind it. I've since gone back to try their other dishes, their Korean Fried Chicken is also really good.
10/10 would return/recommend.

C.A central location, close to university and also to the Octagon area. Food here is a fusion of Korean and Japanese cuisine and is quite good to be honest, portions were decent as well and the taste was decent. Definitely good value for it's price range as well.
Y.We went there lunch time during week, pretty busy but lucky to find table to eat. We got Ramen and some Udon. The food are okay, I preferred Udon to Ramen as I felt too much Vegetables in Ramen and less noodle. Also, it was not as hot as I want it to be. Staff are decent, it is just very small space so you might not be able to sit there when you want to.

A.A Dunedin staple. Lovely food and very genuine attentive staff. Every dish I've ever had has never ever disappointed. Would highly recommend for a nice simple (and generously priced!) meal.

R.Coming from Queenstown it was such a treat to stumble upon a little place like Harry's. My partner had never had Ramen before and 2 months later he is still talking about his dish (sorry I forgot to post earlier!). He had pork and I had the vegetarian, I only have positive things to say about both dishes, we both left content and with much chubbier bellies! We'll be back next time we're in Dunedin, thanks team!!

E.Tried twice Ramen there, strongly recommend! was based in Dunedin but currently move to Christchurch. You cant find this kind of texture of ramen in Christchurch with such a large portion also. It is awesome it even comes with two small plates of special veggies(not sure korean or japanese flavor but taste really yum). Service needs to be improved. No greeting from the owner, he just sat in one of tables doing his own business.
P.Harry's has the best lunch on George St. Unparalleled quality for absurdly reasonable price, every dish on their menu is crafted with care and presented beautifully, and in enormous portions that will leave you wishing you had room to eat more.
In my opinion, Harry's is unmissable as a staple of the Dunedin foodie scene, such as it is.
