Great experience, yet again. Such friendly staff and great tasting food. We’re always impressed with the food and its lovely that the staff remember us and ask after our family if we’re not all there. Highly recommend!

3 out of 5 stars Because my butter chicken juice wasn't that thick, and it didn't taste that mild and also my bread didn't have much garlic on it. But besides all of that it was pretty okay

Good meal good value, staff seem nice, had takeaway so do not know how it would be to have sit down dinner there.

Ordered catering for a party recently. The food was exceptional and the service was brilliant. Highly recommend be it dine in, takeaway, delivery or catering.

This is our go to anytime my family and I feel like Indian, there food is delicious, customer service is impeccable, last night we got delivery and the kids were so excited to see the person who was bringing dinner.. my middle boy reached out for a hug to thank him and the lovely guy didn’t hesitate, then he gave high-fives to my other two.. having someone acknowledge my children even though he was probably in a rush to get back, was just the icing on top of the cake ❤️ Will never go anywhere else for our Indian food ❤️❤️❤️

The guy that you meet at the counter will make you one of the most delicious meals you can find in dunedin. Always look forward to an "Indian hot" tikka masala 🥵. Nice Naan as well 👍 update, cheese and garlic Naan is awesome

Slowly making our way through their menu and we have not been disappointed. Food is delicious and always on time. The service is great and always friendly. Definitely recommend this great local restaurant

This is our go-to curry place in Dunedin. It’s always perfect and delicious. We used to live in the curry capital of the UK so are used to gorgeous gourmet curries and this tiny little establishment in Green Island competes with some of the best places in the UK cities. I’d recommend going for mild, as Medium here is more like British hot. Try the aloo gobi and the chicken Kadai. Yum. They also have a great delivery service.

Very friendly staff and owner. Came a few weeks ago and loved the whole experience. Went again yesterday for lunch and it was fabulous. Curried prawns, garlic naan and a mango lasse. Lovely background Indian music set the atmosphere. Prices were well within our budget and again the food was exceptionally good. We will be back. Highly recommend. AAA+++

RECOMMENDATION. Must be best value for money Indian restaurant in Dunedin. Great curries, excellent service and mains with rice all (currently17/6/21) under $20(vege $14). I really loved these guys, the food, the atmosphere. He invited us and another family to see the tandoor in their kitchen.🤩😇. This will be my go-to for indian food in Dunedin now. Thank you guys. Not just a meal-an experience!!!

It’s been a few months since I have ordered from here as the last few occasions I was disappointed with the lack of meat in the meals....but last night I decided to give them a go again and I explained to the friendly guy my previous disappointments. WELL this visit I enjoyed the restaurant service rather than doing my usual takeaway....and the meals were fantastic 👍....in fact probably the best Butter Chicken I’ve ever had and I certainly couldn’t complain about lack of meat. Even the garlic and coriander Naan was tasty. My once regular Indian meals from here “may” have returned. Keep up these fine meals...perhaps I will order extra meat in future and pay a bit more. Thanks

Very yummy but can be inconsistencies with amount of meat. And not very generous with rewards card. But friendly. Very nice curry though when we get good chef cook that night. Update:This is a very old review from last year. This year review. I can say very good curries and entre. The service is amazing.

Tonight Hubby and I were in and we were not disappointed, food was exquisite , flavorful , melt in your mouth deliciousness. From starters to the main the rice and naan's - there was nothing we did not enjoy Thankyou to all the staff ,very friendly and we will be back soon , this restaurant is lovely , well worth the visit & would recommend to everyone

Ordered online and picked up. The vegetarian meal was bland and wasn't happy as it didn't have much flavour but the owner has since called me and offered a free meal in place of the one I ordered. I have accepted and will definitely try again..thanks 11/8/20 Had a free meal tonight. Same one as last week. What a difference. Had so much flavour and couldn't believe it could be so different..Will definitely go back again.. 4 stars

Amazingly yummy food, fair prices and absolutely lovely staff. We tried 2 vegetarian curries and a beef shahi korma. Totally worth it..

We ordered three curries, all three were excellent. Not sure we would order on line again due to the very, very long wait for delivery 1 hour 25 minutes (long time when hungry kids are waiting) but will definently order in store.

Entered this restaurant on a whim while vacationing in (Dunedin)!New Zealand and fancied some Indian. Was immediately greeted by a very friendly waitress who promptly answered our question about the advertised special, so we stayed. The food was great, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the waitresses were friendly and accommodating. Honestly, this restaurant ranks higher than my favorite local Indian restaurant and it's such a damn shame that we're not local, or we'd frequent this place. 10/10 would dine again.

This is easily our favourite takeaway place! Super yummy food, great portions and Akhile (the owner) is an absolute legend!

Best butter chicken I have ever had! The customer service is also amazing. I was even offered and given a sample to try before making my order. I definitely recommend this place.

Great to see so much support for this local restaurant and takeaway. I dined in with my folks and there was a constant stream of pick ups and takeaway orders. The Vegetarian Banquet was super.

Ordered online and after waiting for two hours at the shop for my order, still nothing..... incredibly disappointed. UPDATE: The owner took the initiative to call back and gave me a meal free of charge, explained that there had been new people working that night and apologised for the service. Kind of him to fix the issue, thank you!

Tastes good, had to wait a bit for the order even though high we'd pre-ordered and arrived at the time advised. They did give us complimentary popadums though.

A number of years ago I refused to eat Indian foot, a prejudice cemented early in my childhood by my mother's repulsive "curry-in-a-hurry". This was a dish of unmitigated awfulness which it still turns my stomach to recall. Thankfully I've moved on, so I can enjoy restaurants such as this superb Indian restaurant in Dunedin's suburbs. The food is exceptional, generously portioned and good value for money. It's popularity is well deserved. My only minor gripe is that I think they misunderstood when we said to minimise the heat in our Lamb Madras so Master Three could try it too. It was damn hot... or maybe I'm just a pussy ;o)
