Great view, good service but disappointing food. I ordered big breakfast and it was not big comparedto other restaurants and not presentable. The taste were standard and the bacon was too salty. I also ordered smoked salmon and you can see in my picture how it looks. The management are welcome to improve and I can change my review if improved.

Lovely location and great view of Dunedin though parking is a bit of a pain. We ordered three mains and three desserts. While every dish was well portioned and flavoured I didn't think it was anything spectacular. The food was solid and safe. A good place for a family meal or a date over looking Dunedin.

The staff were brilliant, friendly and very accommodating. 10 out of 10 for the service, whoever owns the restaurant needs to give them a pay raise. Food was delicious, the best dairy free risotto I have ever had.....ever. this place definitely deserves a 5 star rating ☺️

The restaurant was quite busy for a Sunday night and was rather noisy as a result. Once one group left it ended up being much quieter. Parking close to the restaurant is almost non-existent so expect to walk a couple of hundred metres to get to it. The meal was absolutely amazing. Looking at some of the dishes that went out to other tablets showed that they were reasonably large to justify the prices. I chose the butcher's meal and this was a delicious duck. The view across the city and harbour is wonderful and is likely part of the reason for the busy night.

I had a wonderful extended lunch here. First, the views here are possibly the best in Dunedin, with an outlook over the city, the harbour, the peninsula, and the Pacific ocean on the coast. Second, the food and coffee was great. I had eggs benedict with bacon, and a few coffees, and later a dessert of apple and berry crumble. The staff were very helpful too, accommodating my desire to have a quiet spot to read a book as well as eating of course. I will definitely be coming back here.

Great view of the city, delicious food! For dinner make sure you book ahead. It took quite a while to get our order but we were catching up with an old friend and were not under any time pressure so we didn't mind. The fish (sole) was amazing. The ice cream was just OK, expected a bit more. Overall great experience!

Delicious food. Good service. The choices of both food and wine are limited but in my opinion this means they can do a few things well. The bread-board starters was very tasty, with 3 dips (although it’s hard to ‘dip’ bread in nuts & seeds). Main courses of merino lamb and chicken filo were good although I felt the feta cheese overpowered the subtle flavours of the lamb. (I asked the front-of-house to pass my comment to the chef). Prices seemed very reasonably for the quality.

We were the last booking time(on a Tuesday night)at 8:30pm. We were a little late but that wasn't a problem for the staff. The Pate was excellent and the Garlic bread with aoili was very good. I enjoyed the Duck leg. Peter had the pulled pork burger which was fine. Views were fantastic looking out over Dunedin city from the top of the first set of hills above the town. Will be back.

Great food and nice gas fire on a cold day. I had a chicken in filo wrap with tasty potatoes and a creamy sauce with a plum sauce as well. The orange juice was good too. The staff were good but to get a five they need to come across a bit friendlier.

Excellent restraunt overlooking the city with fantastic views. Food was good, but atmosphere was lacking on the last visit being places upstairs with one other table on the last visit - with no staff upstairs 50% of the time it did make for a weird situation. All in all always a good meal however, would recommend.

Lovely food and location. The service left a slight sour note as our server interrupted an import family announcement/conversation and just started talking over us. I am reasonably sure that this is probably an isolated incident and I would still recommends trying them out.

Has to give these guys 5 stars. We found it by accident and we're welcomed by smiling staff in a full bar. The beer choice was perfect for my taste and I can recommend the 1812. The first thing we saw were people eating plates of fantastic looking pork ribs and we could not resist trying some. They definitely did not disappoint. The view is stunning and it was a great experience.

Stunning views and layout. Simple, elegant and classy. It's a good place for a quick bite, snack, or just a casual meet up. Lunches I've heard are fairly decent, though I didn't get to try them and just had some fries on my visit. Great attentive staff too!

Great Service from the staff! Entrees took a bit long to get there, but I had the Cheesy Garlic Breads as an entree and a Ribeye steak for mains! Beautiful presentation perfectly cooked steak, and the Red Wine Jus with the steak was delicious! Definitely be back again!

Back second time the Lamb was disappointing unfortunately quite a bit grizzle and a bit too rare, however last time was perfect. Service was excellent and they responded positively to the dip in meal quality. It won’t put me off going back as the Service top notch! View just lovely. 👍🏻

Went in for Brunch with my friend. It was lovely and warm on a cold winters day. I had the Eggs Benedict with bacon, and it was perfect. My friend had the Full breakfast and that was perfect too. Coffee was really nice too. I will be going back in the evening sometime soon with my partner to see what the night time menu is like. Watch this space. 😉
