Z.On my travels I like to try Turkish restaurants so I went to Sila. It is a big place nicely decorated. Staff is welcoming and friendly. Food was great and the serving was big, probably too big but I ate it all. My chicken grilled salad was great and nicely seasoned and spicy. The table could be cleaned a bit better and entry door does not close fully on its own so cold southerly comes in quickly. Apart from that, it is all good.
W.I am not fluent with Turkish cuisine but this place does taste really good. I've been here 3 times and everytime the food served tasted fresh and flavourful. My only gripe is regarding the pricing. For lunch, I would say it is still acceptable considering the quality of food. However, when I go during dinner the meals were more expensive yet the portion was identical to the lunch menu. I'm slightly disappointed with that and would definitely pay more if the portion was bigger as the portion size was just okay.
In short, good food but dinner portion needs to be bigger or charge the same price as lunch.

B.Love the atmosphere of this place, the interior design is gorgeous and feels very cosy & intimate. Great for both group gatherings (bookings recommended) and for a more intimate romantic meal for a couple. The food itself is amazing, by far my preferred Turkish place in Dunedin. And although it's not cheap, I think it's reasonably priced for what they offer. The staff are friendly and helpful without being pushy, and are very aware & helpful when it comes to dietary restrictions & allergies - and they'll readily double check with the chef if need be.
M.Yum! Definitely coming back here again. There was 18 of us, and we were each given a ticket from a raffle book, which made it easier for them and us to keep track of who had what - genius.
S.Went there for dinner with work colleague's. It was a pleasant experience, nice atmosphere, friendly service. Food was nice,taste sensations, accompanying vegetables were fresh. I was surprised nobody was there,we all were from out of town. A few takeaway folks drifted in and gone again, we had the whole place to ourselves. Would recommend if you like Middle Eastern cuisine, we weren't disappointed.Decor was pleasantly Middle Eastern, music too,gave it a sense of authenticity, just needed a crowd and a belly dancer performing.
A.After being away for several years, I was looking forward to returning to Sila for dinner. Was not disappointed! Had a beautiful Falafel Meze that was full of flavour. Great customer service and remains one of my favourite spots in Dunedin. Thanks guys!

E.They have a great space and ambiance which makes it look like an authentic Turkish cafe. I visited there for lunch. Ordered meat on chips. Service was quick. Serving size was generous. I doubt that meat was freshly grilled. Felt like it was rewarmed but tasted okay.
N.Had a farewell dinner last night at this restaurant. First ordered a hot chocolate, which was cold, second attempt not much better, cup was hot but drink not so. Booked at 630pm , we ordered , I ordered chicken borax, I omitted the onions , but with extra mushrooms, didn't see any mushrooms at all, served meal at around 8 and after.
Was not impressed, as I am also a barista , if certain items of food are explained in the meal U expect them to be there on your plate.
R.Food was great, spred was decent but very slow on desserts. They were very busy though with over 100 people. Generous portion sizes, price was reasonable. Mixed Meze with extra vegetarian patties $28 which is standard downtown. Slight negative was just they were very busy.
J.Kinda Disappointing.
First time ordering on ubereats and I chose the Pide with chicken and bbq sauce, and it came as a chicken barbeque pizza. Don't know if it was a joke but i paid 30 Bux for that pizza which I could've gotten at dominoes for 10 and still tasted better.

J.Enjoyed this food many times--consistently excellent real Turkish food. The fire baked bread is awesome, adds to the authenticity. My favorite aspect of Sila is the dancer--dinner theater on Saturday nights! This is really fun for special occasions! My favorite restaurant!
S.Very very good Turkish food. If you don't mind spending a little extra than the average competition next door you won't be disappointed. That being said, process are in line with "kiwi" restaurant main prices. Quite large servings, char coal grilled yum.

A.We held our Mother's, Nana's, and Great Nana's 90th birthday lunch at Sila's. She had never eaten Turkish food before and just loved it. There was something on the menu for everyone's taste. Staff were polite, respectful, helpful, and non-obtrusive. The venue and atmosphere was fantastic. Thank-you to everyone at Sila for the amazing time we all had.
L.Love eating here. Meals are so nice, reasonably priced and great variety on their menu. Only issue I do have is the seating is a bit odd as the so how seats are lower than the bench seating.

K.(Translated) Good Turkish cuisine. At least for the conditions in New Zealand. None of the shops in Germany would have a chance, but here they are geared towards local tastes. In contrast to most other Turkish shops, it is clean and not run down here. And the staff is friendly. You can also get alcoholic beverages.

Eine gute türkische Küche. Zumindest für die Verhältnisse in Neuseeland. In Deutschland hätten die Laden alle keine Chance, aber hier haben sie sich auf den örtlichen Geschmack eingerichtet. Im Gegensatz zu den meisten anderen türkischen Läden ist es hier sauber und nicht runtergekommen. Und das Personal ist freundlich. Außerdem bekommt man auch alkoholische Getränke.
