Wow!!! The batter on the food is to die for, fish is beyond delicious, chips are the best !! Then2 ladies are very friendly and lovely. I'm from the UK and the meal I had reminded me so much of the UK. I would recommend and eat there everyday of the week if I could. Thank you ladies for superb food 😀

Just passing through and had a great feed of excellent blue cod, fish of the day, seafood kebab, savaloy and perfectly cooked chips, amongst a great selection of other delicacies, at reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

Sole fish, steak roll, a scoop of chips. Chips are crunch and soft. Definitely they use fresh oil. Roll was tasty. Sole fish..... The best sole fish in my life. They have gorgeous smile as well.

I absolutely adore this place! And I love that they offer buttered bread. Fish is by far the best I’ve had in Otago. I know I haven’t been to all fish and chips shops but I’ve been to a lot and this one is it for me. Absolute hidden gem. Make sure you stop in on your journeys it’s worth the stop!

One of my go to places for fish and chips, when passing through or staying in the area. Good quality fish that is sourced from fishing boats around our coast. I like the chips too, good texture and a little crispy on the outside. This time I was able to purchase locally caught whitebait for cooking at home...yum.

Let me be clear, the fish and chips are first rate, absolutely blooming marvelous. However... I ordered two blue cod and two scoops of chips. The bloke behind the counter called out "19" instead of "18" and I got someone else's order.

Great meal. It took 15 minutes to get the meal home. The crispy batter was awesome. The chips were crispy. The staff were attentive to my telephone requests, the meal was ready for me to pick up when I arrived. Thanks for a great experience.

Very small shop which was very busy when we got there with customers squeezed tightly in despite the COVID situation. I waited outside where it was much cooler, quieter, and far less claustrophobic. There is a wide selection of fish (as would be expected) and other fried foods. The food was cooked well without being overly greasy as has happened with some other places I've visited.

Went for Chinese but think they used the fish oil so wasn't top quality. Seems common in New Zealand for shops to be both Fish - Chips & Chinese which while found in Great Britain isn't at all common in Australia so the taste is different. Did have fish also and it was good but think it was processed imported also as each piece was exactly the same shape & size. Service was efficient and quick.

Best fish and chips that I have ever tasted. Presentation and a cardboard box was just great. I have used this facility very regularly over the last few months in the consistency of the food is second-to-none. Tasty inviting advertising and a great selection. The only negative was the star particularly one uninviting unfriendly person of the female persuasion.

I have no hesitation in saying they were the best Chips, Fish Bites and squid rings I have ever had!! Thoroughly recommend them to anyone - not fatty, they were well cooked in oil I would believe AND served packed in a cardboard tray. WELL DONE - we don't travel through WAIHOLA often, but when we do, it will be a sure stop regardless of the time. WELL DONE TO THE LADIES WHO COOKED AND SERVED US - we enjoyed the experience. None better anywhere!!
