Perhaps the best Indian restaurant in both Feilding and Palmerston North. The staff is welcoming and friendly. They make you want to come back. The saagwala was melt in your mouth goodness. So good.

I go to the 4 Flames restaurant probably every 4-6 weeks, often for a takeaway, I do eat there from time to time as well. I can honestly say that the staff are always friendly, the service is very good and the food is wonderful. I especially like that the plates are heated before coming to the table. The food is always beautifully presented, well done to everyone who works there.

My husband and I are vegans- the staffs were very hospitable and attended our dietary requirements well. They also made some non-vegan dishes into vegan for us ❤️ The food was yummy! Seriously the BEST Indian food I have ever had. Amazing flavors, presentation, staff were fabulous. Lovely atmosphere. Absolutely Devine!!! Mint chuntey with the Smoked Lamb was superb. I created my own plate with the ingredients.🤣😍🤩 I can't wait to go back again when I'm in the area.

Awesome service, Manager Kamal Singh was awesome, very humble and caring. Very tasty meals and a very tidy upkeep. Nice ambience and plenty of parking. Try their 'Thali' veg or non veg for lunch it's good value for money and offers plenty of variety. The beverages are yummy too.

Easily the best Indian restaurant in Manawatu. We were hosted today by a very courteous and hospitable Yashwant . We accidentally went there 2 hours ahead of the opening time, but he persuaded the chef to accommodate us. We had 4 lovely and authentically Indian made dishes - a) Paani Puri, b) Chilli Chicken, c) Bangla Fish curry and d) Roti. All of the dishes were scrumptious and authentic even for a discerning gustatory epicurean like myself. Needless to say, we can't wait to go back there again. 5/5* Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for an authentic Indian food.

I have been thinking about going to four flames for ages now. I finally decided to go tonight. It is a very nice little restaurant/takeaway place. The staff are very nice, friendly and helpfull. I ordered a mild goat curry, which came with basmati rice and I got a mango lassi and the roti. I was told it would take a minimum of 30 minutes to make. It was ready in about 29 minutes. The mango lassi is extremely delisous, it is very refreshing and has a vibrant orange colour. The goat curry is rich and also has a vibrant colour. It tasted delisous, but I didn't like the chopped up coriander stem that was in there as I don't like coriander, so I just took it out, other than that it was delisous. The goat was so so tender. It was super delisous. It tasted kind of like lamb. Most of it was on bones which was fine, you just need to be carefull of the tiny bones. The goat curry was full of flavour and it was amazing. The rice was as good as rice can be. The roti was nice and I enjoyed getting some of the roti and then rapping the goat, with some sauce and rice in it. Altogether it was delisous, But the roti wasn't perfect but still nice and I liked it. This curry is amazing and I love it. The sauce with it is super super delisous and the meat is super delisous. I didn't end up eatting all my curry as it was so rich and same with the rice. I got a takeaway, so it is in its containers. I will eat the rest tomorrow. I will definitely be going back agian as it was very delisous and the service was excellent. I highly recommend going to Four flames.

Always the best value here. The cauliflower starter is a must. Last week I tried the scallop main that is a must try and chef's special and it was to die for. If you haven't been to 4 Flames before you must go, and if you have been before I know you will now be a regular customer. The food is great and the friendly service even better.

My husband and I booked a table for 5.30. The staff at 4 flames made us feel at home as soon we walked in. Comfortable and warm. The menu has alot to choose from. I recommend the duck in the chefs special and my husband recommends the beef korma. We also had the pesto prawns and stuffed naan bread. The bar is nice. Husband doesn't drink. But 4 flames don't make coffee. The meal was that nice he forgot about his coffee . Thank you and well done.

I'm going to say it, the best Indian I've had in NZ! This unassumingly tucked away gem is a treasure to stumble across. Yashwant and the team made us feel so taken care of and attended to. The service from all staff high quality and the food absolutely phenomenal. Mastering the more popular dishes while presenting some unique dishes that would rarely be experienced outside of Mother India. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed 👍

If you haven't been to this restaurant yet, it's definitely worth a visit. Excellent food and customer service. If you're a chicken fan, try the chef's special Chicken Lababdar and you won't be disappointed. They've also got a unique selection of drinks to compliment the fine dining experience. It's worth a drive from Palmy to satisfy my craving for authentic Indian.

Friendly and helpful staff, fail proof takeaway and even more delicious when eating in. Really accomodating of allergies, especially gluten free. I highly recommend this place, my favourites are Onion Bhaji for an entree, Rohan Josh or Lamb Sagg with Lemon rice for main.

I would love to recommend this place for fine dining with your loved one's. We been there and manager Yashwant was very welcoming and served us. Food was delicious and menu was different than usual Indian restaurants are serving here in Palmerston North and Fielding. Its the best Indian food ive had in NZ so far. Been here like 3-4 times and never been disappointed. For the fellow Indians out here if you want to eat food which has not been modified to the likes of the kiwi people, i recommend this place. My recommendation would be the chicken biryani, kheema paratha and especially the Jungali Murg.

Ordered take-aways on a Thursday evening and was greeted with friendly, cheerful staff. While waiting had a great conversation and found out you can bring your own containers for your takeaway meals... possibly. Certainly would be great if they allow that - helps cut down on plastic trash. Ask first, just in case I misunderstood! The meals were some of the best Indian takeaways I've ever had. Often I find curries are too sweet, and too bloating, but 4 Flames made a beautifully light but rich in flavour Rogan Josh with big chunks of lamb - it filled me up satisfactorily instead of uncomfortably. The vegetarian korma navratan was just as nice and contained big chunks of tofu along with other vegetables. Rice was lovely and light, not stodgy. We ordered a cheese and garlic naan, and we loved it! Beautifully cooked, not burnt like a lot of naan bread we've bought before at other restaurants. The staff are fantastic, love to talk or have a laugh, and decor is nicely subdued, though we both thought the plain walls could do with a deep red / burgandy / orange Indian patterned rug or mural.

I would recommend this place to anyone and if I can, I go once a fortnight, as for the awful comment from Ray kay jay in regard to waiting and food not that nice made me wonder if the guy was in the right place. The staff are friendly the food delicious and I have yet to work my way through the menu but have yet to be let down, even the food is presented well, certainly in comparison to many of the Indian restaurants I have visited within the North island. Each to their own with regard to opinion but for me cant fault them. Go and try for yourself I am sure you wont be let down!
