D.Friendly staff, delicious food (sticky ribs and handcut fries with an Asian slaw), and a cold drink or two.
M.Lovely food. We had a portion of scallops and cockles both cooked in a very tasty sauce. The outdoor seating area is quite sheltered. Reasonably prompt service. I would certainly visit again if in the area.
S.Absolutely beautiful meals. Was so full and the steak was cooked perfectly… actually everything was cooked perfectly. Would highly recommend and will be back again
L.They always have excellent customer service and there food is always good. My only thought is their takeaway coffee sizes are on the small side of things. Will definitely be returning here for both morning coffees and brunch. Keep up the good work and we the customers will keep returning. =)

S.After a long walk on the beach this is is a great spot for Breakfast. Great staff and a great menu that is not to be missed. If brunch is your thing, there is a full breakfast menu and a bar menu that has great variety. Awesome spot!

T.Great food, service and a really great atmosphere, especially when they have their entertainers there, usually on a Sunday afternoon. Nice place to visit, either for a meal or just for drinks.

r.My friends and I are here recently. All our meals were absolutely delicious. We had an assortment of starters such as oysters, mains and desserts, all delicious. Highly recommend this place to eat. Had some cocktails as well. Lovely, friendly staff too.

G.Dinner here last night, although a little off State Highway 1 this is a place worth wandering to.
The service is so friendly and the food is absolutely amaizing and delicious. It was our wedding anniversary, the staff brought out a wee dessert and made a bit of a fuss, which won me points......
V.The dinner menu is outstanding - absolutely loved it. The cabinet food (especially donuts!) is great also. The daytime menu could do with a couple more salad like options, particularly moving into warmer months.
N.We have been here a few times now. But last night was our first dinner there. The food was amazing, the staff were lovely even though they were swamped. Atmosphere is great, really nice selection of beers and wine. If we could give it more than 5 stars, we would.

My party was underwhelmed with their choices I found out well after the fact - the terakihi was very thin under the crusty batter for the fish and chips, the lamb shanks would have been better had they been cooked longer.
Otherwise good atmosphere, the live music was nice and not too loud for where we were placed in the restaurant.
A few more creative options on the kids menu would go far, as the pasta special on the adult menu was far too sophisticated for them, but they're not so keen on deep fried stuff most restaurants do (fish bites, hot dogs, chicken tenders all with chips).

K.Really good food, thoroughly enjoyed it. I was a little confused by the menu as all i wanted was scrambled eggs and bacon, but got snapped at when i asked if if the "eggs any way" could come with bacon. They should have an *extras section. Would still go back there :)
B.Food was ok. You can take beer bottles and drinks to the outside eating spaces but not coldrinks. These need to be poured in a glass so you don't get the whole drink. Weird system.
C.Very friendly staff, food is tasty and spacious for a small town. Ample parking. It's close to the park beach and estuary. Great place to hangout with friends and family.

C.Destination Foxton beach to work up an appetite.Cafe has alfresco dining and a sheltered garden bar.Fully licensed they are open for evening meals.For those cold winter evenings there is a log burner in the corner.
The cafe has a warm and inviting atmosphere and the staff were attentive and courteous.
Even though the place was humming the service was quick.
In the cabinet there are loaves and scones and doughnuts and freshly baked ciabatta .
The menu has variety and there is a separate kids menu.
Pizzas are popular and a reasonable price.During the summer there is a food cart selling burgers/sliders and pulled pork.
Coffee is Dark Horse from Kapiti and the barista does it justice.
The corn beef sandwich served with a crispy crust bun was tasty for a quick eat .

S.I went to OBE last night. Fabulous service and our main meals were delicious. However dessert was just plain mean. Ice cream sundae was poorly presented. They were supposed to be strawberry sundaes. You would be pushing it to say there was even one teaspoon of very runny strawberry syrup in the bottom of a glass with one sloppy scoop of vanilla ice cream and a slop of whipped cream. Looked totally unappealing. Please learn how to make a nice sundae.
K.Great service, delish food - we had the classic fish and chips, lamb shank and eggplant tian. Baklava and mousse for dessert.
Cocktail of the week was fun too.
H.Thought it was a liitle expensive to start with but my eye fillet was well worth every cent. Staff were professional and friendly. My only criticism is there was only one of the special of the day available at 7 on a Saturday night... And I missed out on it😉
