M.I've been coming to Captain Morgans most of my life. Its good honest food. Service is always pleasant along with the atmosphere.
Update:
Went there this morning. 2x flat white 2x condon bleu $16. Service not the best, not the worse Condon Bleu looked and tastiest like it was cooked yesterday. Hard as rock! Coffee was ok, no sugar packets at the counter, and it's little stuff like that, that are annoying for me as a customer. Was going to originally have breakfast but $16 for avo/toast & egg just didn't sit with me today. General standard has lowered in my opinion.
K.Service was wonderful, food amazing. My son said they were the best pancakes he's ever had so much so that he wanted to tell the chef himself 😊
b.Really enjoyed the calamari and scallops. So much so I would happily order them again. Coffee remains fantastic!
We also has poached eggs and bacon and chicken and waffles. Couldn't fault wither dish!
And as for the bubble tea! All. My. Days!! This is the first time I'd ever heard of it, let alone had a drink of one and it was fantastic!
Just a bit iffy about the 10% holiday surcharge but I guess they have to recoup some of their covid losses somehow??
L.Food was alright, Chips were hot but had the same texture as cold Sandy chips. The chips had little salt and the hotdog lacked flavor. The place was nice and modern though so I'll give them points for that.
M.AMAZING.. The food was SPOT ON.. And the service was so good.. Will definitely go back again..

B.Eggs Benny were awesome. Eggs were on! Hashies were nice and mushrooms were alguds ... and I'm a picky hua!
Coffee came out early in a generous sized cup and 10 minutes later our kai!
Welcome back Captai Morgan's ... same time next Sunday?

L.ice cream a bit soft too fast...maybe check chiller as was not real hot weather...soon coming though
L.Place was in good condition but the fish and chips weren't all that impressive and the service had plenty of room for improvement.
L.Disappointed that our coffee orders were completely forgotten and when we asked about them on our way out, we just got blank looks. Also got charged extra for the salmon on the Eggs Benedict when it did not state this on the menu. They were very good about refunding us this however.

L.All you'd expect and want from a "family restaurant", at the beach. All the fried food standards, and one decent vegetarian burger, plus cold drinks, icecream, counter food, and an all-day breakfast range. Inexpensive, clean, plenty of seating. Good service. And the surprise factor - bubble tea. :)

R.Sat as a large family group and they had let us reserve the table which was for lunch. The young lady and guy who looked after us were really sweet and helpful.
Like the bubble tea! Most of us Hd fish n chips...no complaints.

g.They have a new chef! The food was so good, we had the ribs and they fell off the bone, the fish was cooked perfectly and the chicken waffles! Enjoyed the meal and atmosphere.

C.Ordered f&C's had to take back the fish due to batter not cooked to my liking they were really good about it apologised for the mistake and made new one offered to refund me, I kindly declined the offer of the refund, they gave us two more fish as well. That is good service especially when they were just about to close when we first ordered. Well done guys you listened to your customer and corrected the mistake and went over and above.

L.Lots of range, but missing ingredients to make things fully, lasagne not warmed through, staff unsure of products. Great chips. No triple scoop ice creams so I then had to put up with a sulky husband.

B.Got 2 x fish, 1 x battered sausage and 1 scoop of chips and it was a mean as feed. The lady gave me 4 x fish and I shared my kai with my work colleague because there was so much and, the feed was bloody nice. I have never had a disappointing feed of fish n chips from Captain Morgans. The female owner is always very accommodating to your needs and I just want to thank you for great service and a nice as feed.

Our meals were well presented and scrumptiously delicious...thanks guys we really felt like we mattered. H.As one of us one of the other reviewers said close to early try to do a phone order at 6.30 tried for 10 minutes walk down at 6.45 to find the place all but closed & seen one of the staff members on the phone gossiping very disappointing.... B.My wife and I stayed at the holiday park across the road and we were told by my whanau that the food at Captain Morgans was awesome we went for our lunch and dinner in four days we stayed had fishs n chips we got six pices of fish it was really nice I didn't care how small they were I was hungry for fish n chips and that's what I got smoothies were nice also keep up the great work we were there in September Kia Ora Captain Morgans for the awesome food and Service
