Fried fish, fillet, laarb chicken and duck curry. And the pork belly with veggies were simply delish. Dinner 22 Dec 2021. We had 3 starters and 5 main courses. Family style with white rice.

The most delicious and authentic Thai foods during our trip, a hidden gem in Gisborne that amazed us with their Tamarind fish dish and sizzling Black pepper beef (Well Done to the Chef). The lovely lady that served us was friendly and very accommodate.

We did a phone booking for dinner at 6pm on Friday night, 14 Jan 22. We ordered a Chicken Nibbles as an entree, the chicken was crispy on the outside yet moist in the inside. The dipping Thai sauce was quite satisfying too, not too sweet and there was a surely tanginess that we need. We ordered Whole Snapper, a small Chicken Tom Yum and small Prawn Tom Kha for our main meals. The whole snapper was cooked with tamarind sauce which was not too sweet surprisingly (just perfectly meet our liking), the Tom Yum was refreshing, and the Tom Kha was creamy and delicious. It was a pretty busy night as the tables were all full but we did not wait too long. Hands up for the customer service as well. Foods were top notch and overall a 9/10 dining experience. Will definitely be back.

Lovely lovely eatery just off the main road in the Gisborne City Centre. They are quite popular so would recommend booking a ahead. Their food is definitely quite good and their assortment of specials were definitely worth a try. Their staff dwspite being run off their feet provide a good customer experience. Only let down was their sticky rice and mango dessert (a very popular Thai dish) had frozen mangoes in it. Whilst I can understand using frozen mangoes to keep prices down, at least thaw these before serving! It really ruins an otherwise quite good dish. Will definitely still come again when next in the area.

The service was amazing. The woman was so friendly and kept checking on us to make sure everything was good. The food was delicious, I had tofu laksa and my partner had pepper sauce chicken. Both were absolutely delicious along with the starters. The cherry on top was the deep fried ice cream and their great choice of beers. A local gisborne one and 2 Thai beers that were all amazing. Can’t wait to go back.

Service from start to finish was tops. And the food was to die for; fresh, tasty, well balanced and beautifully presented. A wonderful experience! The only disappointment was we couldn't fit it all in. A big doggy bag fixed that.

Have lunched there twice. Both times enjoyed considerate, efficient service combined with an extensive menu choice. Food is well-priced and when I opted for a full-price entree when ordering, was offered it as an add-on special at lower price. Food was promptly served and delicious. Would definitely recommend.

The food was absolutely amazing the shank fell off the bone, and my husband said the laksa was the best hes bad in NZ!! Awesome service too. We tried the steam dumplings, wonton soup, seafood laksa and lamb shank in a yummy nut curry!! 🥰

I get the pad Thai from here atleast twice a week and I love it!!! Super fast service and always super lovely which is good when I need a quick lunch fix. Also the yummiest Tom yum

I have been here couple times. First time was a quiet night with few customers inside, and the second time was very very busy! Great service, very nice food. On the busy night take time quite a bit, took me and my husband 40 mins for our mains but it was alright for us as we were not in the hurry and we also had some entrees and drinks while we wait, it was not long at all tho when it is not busy, may be 10 mins for my mains. Please keep the great work, and I will be back. Thank you

Awesome service, the place had a nice vibe, very clean. We got an unexpected complimentary bowl of prawn chips while we waited for our takeaway order, the door was held open for us while leaving the restaurant and the food was really good..... We had pad Thai (chicken) and sweet n sour stirfry (prawns) with rice. Very happy 😊.

Food was so tasty and good service only down Nasi Goreng not hot as requested. Special fish dish was really good had fillet but can get whole. Really reasonably priced dishes will definitely go back again and recommend to others.

Good Thai food!!! We were from out of town and have tried many Thai restaurants throughout the North island. This one is not bad at all and prices are fair. I would highly recommended getting the whole fish dish, one of the best dish from the menu.

Yummy dinner. Had the prawn special and duck. Lovely fresh veges and very tasty. Next time will ask for a bit spicy as the meal was NZ spicy! Will definitely be back.

Curry puffs were great. Pad Thai was very tasty. The sweet and sour and chicken dish with peanut sauce were really watery and quite disappointing. I expected the peanut sauce to be the same as you’d get with the satay chicken skewers and the sweet and sour to be thick like you get with Chinese. Sadly neither were what I expected.

Authentic Thai. Pork belly special was amazing! Great larb. Ask for Thai spicy if you like hot. Lovely service. They do takeaway and have fully licensed bar.

Really tasty food and a wonderful smiling staff. We felt really cared and our experience tonight reminded us a lot our trip to Thailand. Pad See Ew, Roast Duck curry, Deep Fried bananas (no ice cream as asked) and mango sticky rice, everything was perfect and tasty for a really good price! We will definitely be back!

Testiest duck Pad Thai ever! I always eat Thai, have been eating Thai food around nz and you just beat many famous Thai Places. Service was great, food take a bit of time but well made worth it! My other 3 mates love their meal too. Keep it up!

Service here is above and beyond expectations. More than willing to try and work around specific dietary needs and very attentive - always replaced our water if it was no longer cold and meals came out in a very timely manner. Portion sizes were quite large and the atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely. Loved the Curry Puffs and Chicken Yellow Curry - and the roti was made just right! Decently priced for a group of four. Will definitely be coming back.

This cosy little restaurant features a truly stunning menu. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The ambience is quiet and private. The open plan dining is good if you like to "see what looks good." We come here for the food!!!!! The duck curry is the best I've had in the North Island. They also cook a fantastic beef salad. Prices are reasonable and they offer local brewed beer. Awesome venue. Highly recommend.
