p.The Thomas Green is the flashiest place to dine in Gore. It serves a nice Western family cuisine in a very poshy feeling environment.
Edit - re visited with a few friends and had an absolute blast. Nice food and excellent service from Grace and topped off by a lovely banter with Rozel.
A.Wonderful service and tasty meals. Beef Wellington - splendid. Happy tummy!
D.Ordered the beef Wellington. Menu says it is eye fillet but the actual meat is not at all. It is very chewy and has a lot of connecting tissues in it. Tasted very gammy, definitely not eye fillet so the $40 price tag was not of good value at all. The wines and beer selection are pretty good. My friend had chicken linguine was alright. Overall quite disappointing.
Y.The host recommended us to have dinner here. The beef wellington and lamb salad were really good. The portion was big and the waitresses were nice. A great finding in this small town.

A.I can not understand the bad reviews. I‘ve been here twice and the service is excellent and also the food is the best I’ve had from restaurants around Gore: high quality, healthy and great prices. Highly recommend!
N.Boom! Perfectly poured Heineken and great lunch. Kids meals are great, though the salad that came with them had whole grain mustard all over it so they didn’t eat it 😬. Staff are nice and friendly and food was awesome. Go the ravioli- yum yum!!!
C.The service and food is excellent, very friendly staff and the setting is perfect. There was a small issue on our first night with the order not being sent to the kitchen somehow, so it was a bit late, but the three of us were enjoying ourselves and we did get offered a free drink, but dessert sounded better... Enjoyed it so much we went the next night also! Fish pie with filo pastry was superb, as was the creme brule. Well done... will be back when down again in two years!
J.Amazing food. We got a verity of dishes and some fries. Food was delicious, service was outstanding. My friend drinks his beer a strange way and they not only accommodated him but they made it perfectly. Well done staff. If i had to make a small insignificant complaint it would be there wasn't enough dipping sauce for the amazing food. Again well done. Two very happy well feed people.

J.Bit of a wait for our food and one dish was wrong (sent back and sorted without drama, however the 4 minute wait promised was closer to 15min). But nice coffee and food was good. Very friendly and attentive young waiter (David??).

K.Food was good, but service and atmosphere not so much. They brought our mains out and forgot our starter - one server said it was on the way, another server said it hadn't been cooked yet. I asked for a side plate, never got it. They never came to clear our plates or ask if we wanted dessert. There was a bunch of empty tables but they sat us next to a table of rowdy drunks. But at least we didn't have to pay for the starter :) overall not bad, will probably go again.

M.Absolutely loved this place, walked in off the street where our group of 8 were sat at a large table in a small room, very private for my 8 year old grand daughters birthday. Room was nice and warm. Meal was beautiful. Good sized meals and staff were excellent
K.A lovely atmosphere, beautifully fitted out old building. We have dined here many times, mostly the food is very good, although last night the fish was terrible, the staff are mostly good.
R.I'm very impressed with the attitude and helpfulness of the staff. We were fortunate enough to have Sarah a week ago and she was amazing. Quintin was our waiter on Saturday and he was so polite and helpful and cheerful. The food was great although I felt that 3pieces in the fish pie was a tad scimpy. The week before there was more fish in the same pie. The meals have improved considerably from when we were there 4 years ago. Well done Thomas Green staff.

S.Service much slower that it used to be. We were driving through Gore and didn't have 80 minutes to wait for our lunch. Found a hair in my salad and not mine. Staff were lovely though and management did not charge for my meal. Would return however hope to see better reviews in future as this has potential to be an awesome venue. Just improve on your service guys

L.We went to the Thomas Green on Easter Sunday, we walked in 3 minutes before closing expecting to be turned away, instead we were warmly welcomed and assured that we had time for a meal, we made our decision and we had our meals within 10 minutes, beautiful and hot and fantastic service by an exceptional young man called Bailey, lovely relaxing atmosphere. We were amazed that we weren't turned away yet warmly welcomed and nothing was a problem. A fantastic restaurant with wonderful staff, a real credit to Gore. Will definitely be coming back as a regular. Well done team
F.Very bright inside for a restaurant. Ideal lighting for a laboratory, operating theatre, or a jewellers... Additional charge for sauce ($1-2). Sauce shouldn't be more money - don't serve dry foods. Food actually quite tasty. Friendly staff.

c.Nice building. Large portions. Food ok although I expected better for the price. Bad service. The waitress forgot one of our dishes and we had to wait another 30 min or so. This was also the case with other 2 tables and different waitresses.

B.Superb meal served by young staff who got the balance dead on - great service but in a relaxed non intrusive manner. Cordon bleu chicken with broccolini, bok choy (which I've hardly ever eaten) and gourmet potatoes cooked beautifully. Coffee to follow was perfect. Loved the slightly old worldly feeling of the place (and the lav was clean). I'm a fan!

Y.Yeah lets go there, nah ...never again. toilets a mess; mix up with orders; water didn't get filled, never saw the desserts menu -was there one? Plates not cleared away, had to go up and order coffee ....nah not ever again. Too many other places to go.
C.Cocktail list is a bit limited. The young man was an excellent host. The girls appeared to be new and didnt handle questions too well. Decor is fabulous.

E.I have been to this establishment three times and will go again and again. My friend took me, I went with 3 others next time, and yesterday took my sister. Experience the great atmosphere, 'wonderful staff' and excellent foods for yourself. Well worth it!
