Awesome restaurant in Greymouth. Visiting from Nelson and went with some Hoki friends. The menu catered to all our allergies and dietary requirements, even on the drinks menu showing if the wine had dairy or not with a little V. Stoked the menu had cauliflower rice as an option. Fantastic generous servings & great atmosphere. Our wait staff were young girls who proved to be efficient and friendly. Impressed with this place. Would definitely go again!!

What a 5 Star Experience it was so lovely excellent food with a great atmosphere, Staff are very friendly and helpful They offer Takeaways too witch is amazing From a visitor from Christchurch a big hats off highly recommended to all, I will be visiting again when I come back The Pricing is great a bit more then your standard Mcdonalds or cheap meal but the quality is to die for Need a good Restraunt / Takeaway Place check out Buccleugh's on High you will not be disappointed 😊😉

Just had the most delicious roast lamb and veg with PARSNIP (YUM) And lovely glass of pinot gris. Staff are lovely and friendly. Highly recommend. Will be back one day!

We had an enjoyable meal here. The menu is great and the service was impeccable - it's great to see staff that genuinely make sure you are happy. A real credit to the place. The food was also pretty good. I had the whitebait fritters which were ok, a little underwhelming and I think using just egg whites would lighten the dish. Fried chicken was very good. My girlfriend's fish and chips was great (decebt batter), and my venison steak was cooked perfectly. My only major problem was that the Mexican black bean patty didn't work well with the dish and was quite dry. Just do something like a mash, or even a simple rosti, it would complement the already good combination of sauce, veggies and venison. We'll be back, thanks for a great night.

This place is a honey hole, as we say in the States. First, it is pronounced, buck-lews. Fantastic hosts, superior food (Venison is a must have for carnivores) wonderful pub, on site liquor store and modest, yet very clean rooms.

The amount of dishes is really big. Three people order three dishes to eat completely. The waitress has a high value. It is a pity that it is not a model.

I had the avo smash with poached eggs for breakfast. Eggs cooked perfectly (whites cooked through, yolks runny). Avocado was mashed & well flavoured. You get a generous serving of TWO toasts with avo & eggs. Nicely presented. Friendly experienced server who knew what she was doing. Quick kitchen. Recommended.

Great pub and restaurant if you like meat and fish. Not many plant based options. The men's toilet has some distasteful posters above the urinals. Pictures of 3 females are showing thumbs down, awe and disappointment in their expressions. Wondering how this would be received placed in the female toilets? 3 men gesturing when females expose their privates?

Always consistent good quality meals. Never had a bad meal there. Only thing that could be improved is some sort of sound barriers as can get really noisy. Otherwise never disappointed by the meal or the wait staff.

The Restaurant was out standing fabulous food an staff for dinner on Friday night But then we went for lunch on Saturday An went to the bar an the staff member was extremely un friendly an we asked if there was a menu She barked at us like we were dogs an said on the wall then we asked about a wine list. Rude an then she said why didn't we eat in the restaurant well it went bad to worse. Excellent food and service. Didn't book (3rd Dec) Restaurant full but ushered into the bar area which was actually quieter than restaurant. Offered exactly same menu. Buccleughs as recommended to us by local who said no matter how busy Buccleughs is it delivers its meals with consistent quality and speed. Would definitely be recommending to folk travelling to GM.

Food was lovely, I had fish of the day (orange roughy, grilled) with new potatoes and steamed asparagus and brocollini, with a creamy prawn sauce. Service was great, waiteesses pleasant and helpful. My only complaint was the noise factor, volume of other patrons was extremely high and I couldn't converse with my fellow diners. Found myself gazing into the distance wishing I was anywhere else, my ears were ringing when we left! Maybe some noise muffling ceiling panels would help? Do you do takeaway meals???

Appearances are deceptive with this little jewel of a restaurant. Situated behind and above a normal looking pub the inside is welcoming and clean. The staff are all cheerful and friendly and the food is not only reasonably priced but also very tasty We had the parmesan chicken which was piping hot and still juicy. Would recommend this place to anyone.
