r. c.Far more than you expect from a "3-star hotel". The rooms are fantastic. The beach is 75 m away and just what you want on the west coast. The food is great bistro food! The coffee is excellent. We all loved the salad bar. Alan is super kind and onto everything. I'm so pleased I accidentally found this place on Google!
J. P.We stayed overnight in the new very quiet units. They are excellent value, with the bar and restaurant right next door. Very welcoming owners. Plus the beach is a quick walk if you feel like greenstone hunting. I will stay here again.

Great food, excellent staff, warm, comfortable accommodation at a good price. Popular with business travellers (a sure sign that it's good place to stay), tourists travelling on the Alpine express and the locals. A much better option than anything else in the area.

Room was spotless and has everything you need for a comfortable stay, beds were amazing, as soon as we entered the bar/restaurant alan came and introduced himself and made us feel so welcome, the food was yummy, my fussy 10yr old ate his whole dinner😳, spaghetti bolognese ( even said it was better then mine😉) will definitely be back to stay next time we down these way thanks heap guys.

Accommodation very clean, well stocked and comfortable. We ordered room service for our evening meal which was prompt and tasty. Would definitely recommend a stay if you are in this part of the world.

J. M.Indisputably the best hotel on the West Coast! Offers amazing selection of food and beverages. Compliments to the chef go down a treat as she is a local superstar with a food truck based in the center city too. The bar staff are friendly and also pretty nice to look at too. Beautiful spot by the beach, only a few minutes walk to the shores edge as well as the West Coast Wildness trail running behind it :) Truely a 5 star spot
L. Q.Came to the Paroa Hotel restaurant for dinner. The service was very friendly and helpful. I had the roast pork which was excellent. Very generous portions and everything cooked perfectly. Wish we lived closer so we could return again!
R. T.We stayed two nights, the room was large, extremely comfortable and 2 minute walk across lawn to the sea. I always used to rave about the food here but unfortunately not this time. But for a bar and accommodation - all good.

C. M. H.Stayed in the large house unit for 7+ which was a good size for a family of 5. Very handy to the majestic West Coast beach and School playground. Pub meals v convenient & convivial. We were treated to a double rainbow and sunset. Loved our stay.
C.The location and rooms are phenomenal, however what really makes this place amazing is it’s incredible staff. Not only did Alan make us feel welcome and go above and beyond by walking us through the rooms, but the little touches like leaving a small bottle of milk for our morning coffee was awesome. We had a slight medical emergency on site as well and Alan jumped in and assisted without hesitation. Do not think twice about staying here, there is even a private walkway to a secluded beach which is must do at sunset.

We had a whole family house that belong to hotel just few meters away.
Part of the hotel is a liquor store ;)
15 minutes away is a woods creek track, it very easy for children, bring head lights and explore gold mins and see there glow worms for free!!! ;) Track takes only 30minuts and on the way can be seen now days gold mine.

We had a room with a terrace overlooking the lawn towards the beach. We ate at the restaurant - loved the choice of freshly prepared food and salad bar. Good location, just off the main road, not far from Shantytwn and some great walks into the hills. Friendly owners who can give you lots of tips for visits.
We loved wandering along the windswept pebble beach - just a short walk away, searching for Punamu (NZ Jade) rocks.
C. F.Fabulous place - accommodation roomy and comfortable. Food fantastic and they also have a bottle shop which we used. The environment in the bar/dining area is just lovely and modern, relaxing and comfortable. A great spot to stop a couple of days to explore Greymouth and very easy access to the beach.

T. C.The three of us had three courses - and the food was amazing except for the fries which were cold, waxy, and soggy. This really let down the meal which was unfortunate. We informed both the wait staff (who did nothing to rectify it) and the cashier (again no effort to rectify). On the positive front, they are one of the few restaurants who can cook a steak rare as requested(generally we get it delivered medium 😬). Best kumara chips we've ever had so do recommend them.

We were upgraded to one of the 2-bedroom-apartments as 'our' original room was occupied by other guests who decided to prolong their stay - what else should we say!?
Alan greeted us with a warm welcome, restaurant and bar are right next door and our apartment was very clean, quiet and absolutely great value for money.
