J.Pete is a legend! We arrived the camp site hungry and looking for Pete, but he had already closed up shop for the night. The legend that he is, heard we were looking for food so he opened back up just to cook us the most delicious white bait and zucchini and corn fritters! He even gave us some free coconut cream ice cream for dessert. The food was amazing but the service and chat was pure gold. Thanks Pete!
S.The best whitebait fritters,,, just egg and full to the brim 😋 of whitebait, sitting on top of crunchy fried bread. Absolutely delicious. I've only had one a day,,, you just gotta leave some for other peeps, lol.

Although Pete had already closed up shop here at Punakaiki Beach Camp, he opened up specially for us and made us a batch of his delicious Pattie’s 😋 and if that wasn’t good enough he even finished it off by making us one of his soft serve coconut cream ice creams for free, thank you Pete, you’ve fed our little bellies for the night!
