Omg, this is something fantastic. It feels like little Italia in Hamilton. Such a delicious cuisine. We've got a brilliant pizza with a great balanced taste and pasta with a fabulous sauce. Book a table ahead:)

Food was great but one main meal was missed and we didn’t get it until everyone else was finished. Almost told them to cancel it as we had kids with us. Thought it was unusual to charge for it after waiting that long. Table behind us had missing side and table beside us had two missing mains, so seemed like not just a one off. As I said, food was great and a redeeming factor, so still give it 3 star.

Best Italian food we have ever had, and yes, we've been to Italy. Perfection from start to finish. Delightful Italian chef. Cocktails mixed to perfection by Luke. This gem was an accidental find, and so pleased we did. Our new favourite.

Best Italian food we've had in New Zealand. We had the pasta special, lasagne and a pizza, and they were all excellent authentic Italian food. Great service, plus excellent Italian beer, a must visit if you are in Hamilton.

Another fabulous night of food and service at Cafe Centrale This restaurant has been our go to restaurant for the last 15 years while running our business in Hamilton. Last night we sadly said goodbye to our 6 weekly meals whilst in Hamilton due to the sale of our business. We have never had a meal that we haven't been happy with and I especially appreciate the option of a smaller meal. Keep up your amazing model of great food and professional staff Thank you. Their gnocchi is something to die for, some of the best I've had, however, their spaghetti was very clearly prebought, simple and not worth paying $28 for the $4 cost of ingredients. Overall great place, just choose wisely what you order.

Don't be fooled by its quite outlook.The inside is always full house. Their appetisers and main courses are the 'go to' options if you want some authentic Italian meals.

I was here a month or so ago, I really liked it. I had the Veggi Nochi which i really enjoyed. It was nice and quiet inside so not to claustrophobic. Enjoyed my meal. I would recommend.

This is the second time I've been to this cafe for dinner. The last night the restaurant was fully booked when I entered instead of turning me away. Asked if I would be happy to serve it the bar for a meal since I was by myself. I was more than happy to do this I think that this was just an incredible level of service considering most places would have just said sorry Asics available and showed me the door. Put on trial are garlic bread covered with olive oil marinated tomatoes and basil was wonderful followed by medium rare sirloin steak covered in mushrooms with a side of chips and seasonal vegetables. The vegetables in this main dish were superb. They were the best vegetables I have tasted with a meal for quite some time. As a coincidence I ended up in this restaurant by mistake I was supposed to go to the Italian restaurant next door and try their steak. I will have to go there tomorrow. Highly recommended and I will be back for a third time.

Easily the best Italian I've had in years since I was last in Florence! Traditional Italian flavours, great friendly service with a smile, reasonably priced too. Definitely recommend trying it out if you are staying across the road.

This was our second visit to Caffe Centrale on the last few weeks. Again the food was just excellent. We were a family group of five. The restaurant was full and short staffed due to illness but despite that the service was really good. We all had different meals and we were all happy. I had veal saltimbocca and panna cotta and we shared a bottle of Valpolicella. They were great but next time I'm going to have the limoncello sorbet..

A wonderful true Italian experience, dine alfresco on the street or enjoy the internal ambiance of a true gem. The menu is well balanced and affordable. A well rounded wine list is available or you can bring your own. Take a couple of hours to dine here but always BOOK as they are well patronized

Immediately soon as i entered i was greeted by a awesome Italian host/waiter. They even have Italian chefs too. Most authentic Italian restaurant i ever been to. I ordered a lasagna and spaghetti and they taste amazing so authentic too! Cant express how much i recommend this restaurant. If you want a true taste of authentic Italian food. This is the place to go.

Delightful. This was our first time at this restaurant and we really enjoyed it. Unfortunately their menu on the website was not up to date however the menu was good. Catered well for different dietary needs (1 of our party was vegan). I had the gnocchi which was so light and pillowy and delicious. Would recommend.

My daughter had her wedding reception here and the entire experience was awesome. Delicious food, amazing service and devine cocktails. We gave prior notice of one person needing gluten free and they were very well (and safely) looked after. I can't recommend Caffe' Centrale any higher, overall an amazing experience.

Amazing dishes, been there a few times and tried everything from salad, pasta to meat dishes - love them all. The meal on special is always worth it!

Best Italian restaurant in the area where they obviously make everything from scratch. Have always enjoyed everything they have served. The tiramisu is incredible and not the over sweet chocolatey dessert most places serve. Friendly staff and great service.

This is the second time I've been to this restaurant for dinner. The service was very warm and welcoming and food was delicious however I feel that there could be some more training provided with staff. The waiter was unsure about what wines were what and when my mom ordered a soft drink proceeded to ask her what the drink was (which she wasn't sure). The entree was entirely missed from the table - which is fine, I work in hospo so understand mistakes happen; but also main meals took so long to be ordered so when we asked wait staff on two different occasions to order they told us to "wait 2 more minutes" or "hold on, ill be 5 mins". Will still be back as the food is amazeeee but I think more staff training is definitely needed.

Simple but effective decor. Outstanding authentic Italian food. One of Hamilton's hidden dining jewels. The tortellini was divine, as was my partner's salmon gnocchi. The limencello sorbet was amazing! Don't miss treating yourself here.

Wow, what an amazing place and stunning food. Squeezed us in on a Saturday night with no booking and just totally blews us away with the Level of service and the food. We arrived late and the kitchen was already closed, but I’m giving it 5 stars anyway because the owner came out and was over-the-top friendly. We had a great conversation and he gave us a lot of tips about other places to see and eat while touring the area. We followed his suggestions the next day and had a great time! We are really sad that we didn’t get to try the food, but I’m definitely going back to this restaurant the next time I visit New Zealand.

Visiting from Melbourne Australia, we stumbled across this place whilst looking for a quick bite to eat. All I can say is WOW. I’ve not found a place (including in Lygon st Melbourne) that makes a traditional carbonara so well. Traditional meaning there is no cream, just egg, cheese, meat, and pasta cooked to perfection. Whilst we’re just passing through, I think I need to try to pass through again on this trip so I can try something else. Thanks for making the start of our holiday so awesome.

Me and my partner went there for dinner last night, and I have to say the food was amazing had the bread broad and mozzarella salad which was our entree and the speed it came out from the kitchen was prefect. We had the seafood freshly made pasta which was cooked in a tin foil bag. The seafood was cooked to amazement the sauce was mouth watering with a side of bread to soak the rest up. We made this choice because the friendly warm service we had recommended it to us. Best decision ever. We had panacotta to share for dessert yet agian the speed it came out of the kitchen was amazing. We finished our night off with 2 lemon chilo shots.Thanks for the great night guys. Be back agian
