N.Only serve teppanyaki during lunch while we are there. We choose fire meal, gourmet meal and sumo meal. Though expensive but worth the money, good quality food, comfortable environment and friendly chef. Will come back again if I pass by Hamilton next time.
Y.We were there for just regular menu dinner and ordered the Grilled Eel Donburi Set as well as the Teriyaki Salmon Bento-combo dinner set. This was plenty of food for two of us and enjoyed most of it as there was a lot of different dishes to try. Only thing was that the salmon was a little overcooked, but everything else was great. The staff were very friendly and attentive in taking away finished dishes and bringing the next ones out in an orderly fashion like an organised degustation. Would come again if in the area again.
f.If you get Nick the chef, your in for a real treat.
The kai (food) is always good here
S.Family group of 8 and we had a fun dinner, our chef was entertaining and the younger kids in our group really enjoyed it. Plenty of choice on menu, yummy flavours
J.5 star service and a great experience - if you can’t make it for dinner go there for a delicious value lunch. It’s great for the whole family. I would recommend this restaurant for dinners out with a group. Happy dining and thanks Daikoku.

S.This is our favourite place to go for dates, and we love it every time. Occasionally slow service, but always for understandable reasons (such as prepping for dinner etc). Always delicious, always pleasant service.

M.Amazing location to celebrate Miss 13 birthday. Staff were friendly. Facilities clean. Our chef was interactive with us and cooked everything to perfection. Love the train show and fire explosions.

R.Absolutely fabulous, nice clean restaurant, friendly, smiling, happy staff. I had always been nervous to try the teppanyaki menu (where they cook right in front of you) but it was fun, entertaining and the food was delicious, you can always just order from the kitchen and sit on the other side of the restaurant instead if you prefer. Teppanyaki was a great experience and good value and fun for money. So glad we tried it out and will definitely be back. Thank you so much.
V.It was great - the restaurant is in Bryce st next to Centre Place so Car parking should be sorted.
It was a Wonderful evening - it was great watching the specticle uf the Fast Chopping knives - the Japenese aromas and Wonderul tastes - lovely flavours - our group if 10 were easily and quickly seated.
Our food camd out quickly was hot and tasty - there were children in our party and they were easily accomodated - they chise to eat from a Childrens menu and all were Happy

A.Absolutely fantastic dining experience. You have to see the skill of the chef at the Tepanyaki grill, awesome!!! Food was fantastic and very authentic. I was in Japan many times and this place really summons up all the feelings of being back there. Truly excellent.

There was a special which had the standard bundle with chicken, steak and salmon for $59. This includes soup, salad, mushrooms, courgette, onion, sashimi and ice cream at the end.
The presentation of the restaurant wasnt as nice as the Auckland Quay St one we've been to. One of the cooktops was used for storing all their clothes which looked untidy.
Waiters and chef's were really friendly and fast service.
Food is always delicious and the same great quality as other Daikokus we have been to.

S.Great food and friendly staff! I would recommend the waiting staff visit the tables more often throughout the meals though, as the cooks cannot serve refreshments while cooking/performing. Otherwise, fantastic!

K.It is the second time to this restaurant. It is still quite good one comes with fun performance. The food is around average, but it is really a good price for the lunch special which comes with miso soup, salad, veggies, main and ice cream. BTW, the juice I ordered tastes good as well. I would like to have another try if I come to Hamilton again.
M.We went for a lunch on a Saturday afternoon and did the teppanyaki. It was a great price at 16.80 each, but it wasn't the experience I'm used to in the states where the chef is really interactive with the guests. Perhaps it's because it was midday or that we were the only two people at the table, or maybe that's just not how teppanyaki restaurants operate in NZ.
Overall the staff were incredibly nice and accommodating, the environment/decor was nice, and the food was good.

A.Authentic Japanese food. I really enjoyed my meal and the portions were great. I do recommend trying the plum wine as well. The service was lovely and you can almost taste their passion in the food you are served. Everything was served with a smile whilst the chef played tunes with the steam lol

T.A beautiful large Japanese teppanyaki restaurant with friendly energetic staff. Large tables with seating up to 7 people can make for special occasions as the chefs prepare and cook before you. With main prices ranging from $35-$70 this won't be the cheapest restaurant you've been to but definitely a bit different from LoneStar.
P.This is our kids favourite place to eat as they enjoy the show at the teppan yaki grill. The food is consistently good. Minor things keep me from giving it a 5 star rating... Timing on plating meals can be off as not everyone nay receive their food at the same time. No soy sauce provided for sushi served at teppan yaki tables. Still enjoyable with very friendly staff.

I.AMAZING Japanese restaurant. A Teppanyaki chef cooks your meal in front of you with superb entertaining.
The lunch special is only $15.8 with rice, miso soup, main meal, veggies. And ice cream comes after the meal. Very worth for this price.

J.This place has the best sushi and sashimi outside of Japan I've ever eaten. Always fast and friendly service. Only negative experience was booking online and getting a seat at the teppanyaki table, which wasn't what we wanted, but were offered the option of a regular table 30 mins later anyway.

V.So far I only tasted their miso noodles - but the rich ingredients and generous portion was completely satisfactory. The miso noodles' price is competitive too - 13.50$ with vege, seaweed, and pork in a noodle soup sprinkled with sesame seeds.
