Very enjoyable family dining. Not "High End", but really enjoyed the Mongolian style of selecting your food, watching it being cooked, and then enjoying it. Very well priced. Food was excellent. Kids of all ages really enjoyed it. Highly recommended for families.

It was alright, it looked nice on the inside, though the food variety was limited and didn't have that much unlike Auckland. Was a alright date night restaurant.

All you can eat buffet. Good price for what you get, great for large groups. Buffet consists of raw vegetables, raw meats, oils and sauces, seasonings and garnishes. You fill your bowls with what you like and take it up to the guys around the giant round hot plate. They tell you your number, cook it up and bon apatite. 😁😋 For dessert 🍨, pancakes, ice cream, whipped cream, sauces, fruit salad 😋🤤 yummy. Staff are friendly and helpful. 😊 Eat for $1 on your bday (or 7days before/after) with 3 full paying adults. Go maybe twice a year. Suggestions, don't fill up on fizzy or drinks, go on an empty stomach, pace yourself and stay away from the chips, rice and bread rolls.lol. Enjoy

It's a great place for families and eat till your hearts content. It provides beverages for all age groups and the service is great. The food looks fresh and lots of variety to choose from plus I enjoy watching the chefs cook your meal. I would recommend to all as it is very affordable.

Excellent place to come if you love all you can eat selection of food is great, the team of chef's on the grill are top notch (keep up the great work guys) shame the layout of were you get your food and wait for it to be cooked is a little off putting and claustrophobic, a little confusing about how and were to order drinks too and what is available. Other than those things it's a great place to come with friends and family to have a good feed

Have eaten here with family countless times now. We love the fact that what and how much you eat is entirely upto you and then they cook right in front of you. Its an awesome experience.

Are you really hungry? Don't think about anything, just head to Gengy's restaurant. You can enjoy all kind of food until your tummy is full. We can have unlimited buffet food which includes all kind of meat & sea foods. Most of the non veg foods are in marinated and original form and we can choose sauces/oils/flavors as per our choice. The most attractive thing is our food has been cooked in front of us and it is quite fast. The best time of visit is weekend evenings between 5- 8 pm. Finally keep a bit portion of your tummy for the pan cake with all desserts toppings which is truly delicious and yummy.

The food is good, for an all you can eat buffet. Great place for a staff do, function or event. Not somewhere I'd go for a date or personal dinner. Great range of food, great range of well priced drinks. Cross contamination is expected so if you have food allergies either inform staff or probably choose elsewhere. Tip, at the desert bar, the coconut cream and lime jellies are a Must! They are divine!

Has food. Has water. Has salt and pepper. Even has some chairs to sit on. Tables are optional. Make sure you use a glove to get your food. Nobody wants your virus.

Very noisy sitting in the front area - entrance door kept slamming everytime someone entered or left - so not relaxing in that case. Not much of a selection of raw meats and raw veges when we went to select food for cooking. In saying that, there was a decent variety overall - just needed topping up. The final cooked product was good and completed in a timely manner. Suggestion - that owners do something about the front door constantly slamming and maybe more heating in that front area as winter approaches.

Hasn't had a facelift for many years, exactly the same as a decade ago. The food is good, real novelty the first time, but you'd only go infrequently. My 13 year old grandson, who had never been before, thought 'it was amazing'.

Great food, get to pick your own. All you can eat. But gets a bit busy. Some of the best tofu I have had, but also a good selection of meat and seafood, heaps of sauces and condiments, lots of veges. A bit run down in terms of seating though. Dessert options could be better.

This place is really good for family and group settings. Specially for people who knows how to put in their meal. Meal of choice. We visited here and enjoy the ambience for a farewell dinner to our dutch friend who will going home.

The hostess who greeted us couldnt have been more miserable if she tried. Food was very good, though someone needs to clean around the oil and sauces more frequently as when you lean over your cothing becomes grubby. Also more frequent wiping by the soups as the bench was sticky and having sufficient soup bowls would be an improvement as using the meat/vege bowls not very appealing. The man I paid the bill to as we were leaving was very pleasant. Overall a good family night out.

The food is great as usual and you feel good after eating all the vegetables and lean meat but the decor and furniture are far overdue for some updating as the chairs are uncomfortable and tables tops are covered in peeling woodgrain contact. With a little love and updates this place will be back to its former glory

You can set your pace to make the most of what's available - to eat large, or to take a gentler entree/main(s)/desert/chessboard? option - but with a limited range of drinks. Ow wow Genji's was awesome, I hadn't been out anywhere for ages except to maccas, Genji's cost less than what I'd spend at maccas wuth the kids. Gonna go try the Rotorua place next

Gengy's hamilton is far cry from its other counterparts around the country the selection is pretty lack lustre especially the ready made foods like fries spring rolls tattertotts plain rice and cold noodles and soup the only redeeming part of our night where the steam buns/bread with butter.

Clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Pick your own food for them to cook in front of you as many times as you want. Now guys it's a buffet......if you are impatient and go in there on a busy night you will have long waits, its illogical to even think about going. We went in on a Saturday night at around 6pm and stayed for about an hour. No longer than a 5min wait for your food to be cooked, there are ready to eat entrees.

Been here a few times and every time was pleasant. Great food great atmosphere great service.clean and tidy clear the dirty plates quickly and restock food fast. Only down fall is it can get a bit stuffy at times not sure if there air cons are working? But I'll still be going this Saturday for my birthday😁

Great food it's quite well priced as well all you can eat and they have a deal on if it's your birthday that you can dine there for $1 as long as you have a certain amount of people. They also have deserts there nice fluffy pancakes make in front of your eyes all food cooked in front of you on a massive hot plate so you know when it was cooked. None of this pre cooked food

Ive always been a regular here. Despite the price, the food is amazing! Staff are prompt, don't mess about. Its great for kids! And it provides insight around the culture. Just goot luck finding a parking!

The food is delicious! As a vegetarian it meant a lot that they offered to cook my food separately to avoid cross contamination. Everything was tasty, the facilities were clean and the ingredients tidy and well organised! Best buffet / teppanyaki style restaurant yet.

Love me some Gengy's, but the service wasn't all that great, we were overcharged, due to the staff not checking their books first, felt like they ovet booked them selves for what they could actually handle. The tables are a little too close to each other.

Good food. A lot of it. Good for skinny people like yours truly. If you wanna have a solid stomach, this really is the place. Cheffed in front of your face, so that if you've fasted for the event you can froth and salivate while your meal is fried up. 11/10 would eat again

A different eating out place, we have been several times the grandees love it 8 and 6 year olds as they can choose and boy they do. Not for everyone. can be noisy at times you hope you get the right plate back after cooking but thats part of the fun. If you want a romantic night out go elsewhere but for good value( watch you dont overeat) hard to beat....Staff friendly always we have found.

It's good value for money. There are plenty of options if you are creative. The atmosphere is nice. I have been there twice; once with my wife and another with my friends. They all liked it and we will be returning for sure.

Excellent food. Create your own dish from an assortment of fresh vegetables, meats, sauces and spices. The chefs cook it fresh in front of you on a hot plate. Be careful though - its easy to overeat as the food is great and there's no limit!
