The definition of a "Quick Bite". The food service was really fast, hot and fresh. If you're pressed for time but looking for a tasty meal- this is the place to be. Most satisfying Lunch I've ever had. Friendly service, amazing food and a great vibe. The food arrived a few minutes after we ordered. I would definitely return. Kudos to Ryan the Manager, and the Kitchen Staff you are all doing an excellent job. Edit - I returned for a second time and am still impressed with the awesome culinary experience. I had the share platter last time, This time it was the Pepper Crusted Venison :)

We’ve had a great dining experience at Iguana last night. The food portions were generous. Huge servings all the time. As a group of 4, we’ve ordered the Iguana Platter experience which includes most of everything in the menu. Ribs, steaks, chicken nibbles, fries and the sauces are just some of our favorite + dessert. We will make sure to come back again in a larger crowd this time. The waitresses were very accommodating and friendly too. The restaurant setting is lovely too and quite spaceous. Thank you Iguana team. Highly recommended restaurant.

Went there for Lunch on a Monday, first ever visit to ths place, really friendly staff and fast service from the kitchen. Online booking was a handy tool. Good selections from menu, plus kids menu..watch out for daily specials, Monday Pizza, Tuesday etc... excellent value for money, good serving size and lots of tables inside. Good interior ambience. Ample on street parking which are free for first 2 hours. Highly recomended for a visit.

An absolute cracker of a night. The good here was great, the service prompt and the staff friendly. For starters we had the breads selection and the calamari, the breads were perfect, and the calamari came with a salad that my partner absolutely loved - possibly more than the calamari itself. The main courses were the crispy skinned pork belly and the venison. Both were most and tender with very smooth puree. The apple relish with the pork skin was perfect for off setting the salty skin. Dessert was the only slight let down, the poached part was lovely but we could have done with a knife to cut it as it was left whole and a touch hard to cut with a spoon, and the mocha panna cotta was not hugely mocha flavoured. However over all it was still a fantastic dive and we are looking to go back very soon.

The waitress, Leela, was fantastic. She was courteous, obliging and sweet. We ordered salmon, lamb shank and pizza as our mains from a varied menu. Lamb shank was slightly overcooked, but overall did not lack taste. Salmon was excellent. Our starters - calamari, wings and chowder were also very good. Will definitely recommend Iguana.

Great customer service and exquisite food, Iguana is the place to go for a nice meal with family or friends. My friends food was forgotten and to make up for that they offered fries on the house while they waited. The staff were friendly and great even with our chaotic behavior. 10/10 would recommend, cheers.

Really nice food. Great staff. Very attentive. Only thing was we were placed in a booth and it was so hot. There was lack of air conditioning apart from a large fan which we could barely feel. Ceiling fan was broken we were told. In all fairness, we should have made a booking for a table by the window. Still was great service. Thank you to the Iguana staff.

Nice vibe and delicious food. Staff are attentive and make the experience much more better. Daily deals are very attractive so try to match with it. I tried scotch fillet steak another night. Well above my expectation.

This is the third time I have come here in the past year. Myself and my friend didn’t have the best experience the first time, second time was only ever so slightly better. Coming back six months later, iguana has stepped up there game. The black forest cocktail was amazing warm but I asked for it iced and it was ten times better, please change this to an iced drink in summer. The food was decently good and can’t complain about prices.

My husband, child and I decided to come here for a lil dinner outing. We ordered: - Iguana Experience (share platter, mixed grill platter, dessert platter) - kids fish, chips and salad meal We arrived just after 5pm when it was quieter so we had the benefit of quick service. Polite welcome and offered a table near the fire, woo! Share platter was awesome, looked good enough to blog! I highly recommend their chicken wings! The ribs were amaze, meat just fell off the bone. We ate everything and only had a bit of the house sauces left. Mixed platter, phwoar. Asked for medium rare sirloin, got medium rare sirloin. The fish was cooked just right with a lil crispy skin. The chicken was well cooked and was perfect with the amazing smoked kumara puree, wow I'd order that puree anyday! Veges and salads for both platters helped switch up the eating and were refreshing to eat, with balsamic dressing. Dessert platter topped off the whole experience with a brownie, a strawberry cheesecake, a coffee flavoured panna cotta, vanilla ice cream scoop, French vanilla ice cream scoop, and cookies and cream ice cream scoop. There was also a side of whipped cream and a lil pink wafer. This is definitely for those who love to indulge their sweet tooth I tell ya! My child smashed back their kids meal, which came with a dessert, and they choose a chocolate Sunday. We were checked in on plenty of times while we enjoyed our meals, our table was cleared promptly and we felt well taken care of by the waiters and waitresses that served us. Decent servings, great service, pricing range well worth the food in our experience. We had to walk to the kitchen and say thank you personally. They have goody membership, and are also in the Entertainment Book for those who want to experience what we did with a bit of savings. Thanks Iguana, happy to return in future.

Went with a group of 4 and we were all a bit disappointed with our meals. Having said that.... the chicken wings, good Lord the wings are amazing. $1 wing Wednesdays is an incredible deal for how insanely good they are. I cannot recommend the wings enough.

Me & my family went to iguana Sunday 30th of Jan there were about 14 of us that attended dinner as a celebration for my birthday.Service amazing they were constantly checking up on us. Our wait for our food was about 45-50 mins as you can guess we were absolutely starving once it came out. The steak and ribs were a absolute hit!! The iguana special dinner for two was super tasty, thats were it stopped salmon was dry and over cooked and so was the pork belly. Two people had too wait an additional 20 mins for there meal as they had forgotten there plates!! When we went up to pay the bill they were very inconsistent even tried to double charge at one point.

Staff are friendly and the service is quick. The food was of above average quality. The desserts are better than the mains/entrees. We had the Iguana Experience which was quite a good choice as it allows you to sample the majority of their menu.

Had a family get together, and the food was amazing. And the drinks were even better all the cocktails.. and on a thirsty Thursday the drinks are cheap!! We had a Super amazing waiter named AXEL , he has an awesome personality and made the experience alot more fun for my family and really made me want to try all the drinks! Saturday, sunny and cold, lazy to cook ... so we found this awesome deal at Grabone for $20 two course meal for adults and we all went down to Iguana to enjoy the great food and environment. Our kids ordered from kids menu, my wife asked for an steak and I had fish and chips, both served with white wine. It took a while to be ready, but because of the entree served, we were not hungry for the main course. The restaurant is fantastic, huge , clean and in order. Will come back soon.

We went to Iguana for my Mum's 50th birthday with my extended family (12 of us). Our server was super friendly and professional, and food and drinks came out in great time considering we were a large group. We ordered several of the shared platters for entrees and these were absolutely delicious and generously fed 2 people each. Great experience through and through, looking forward to our next visit!

MASSIVE fan of this place and I now hit this place once a week. From $1 chicken nibbles to All You Can Eat Bbq Ribs, it's such an amazing and affordable place to eat. I highly recommend hitting it Wednesday or Thursday.

Great hangout. As you become more of a vego and less of a carb and meat eater, food does become sparse. Did have a yummmy big haloumi burger that made two burgers for two meals for me hahahha.my friend I was catching up with enjoyed a meatier version. Most places are blucking up vego menu...Iguanas has a way to go but o am sure they will get there. A bit pricey for quality that changes depending on which chef is on. Great place to socialise though with lovely booths to catchup woth friends in!

Big, spacious and inviting. Plenty of room for friends and family to hang around for a fire place. There's is a bar and comfortable couches to hang out on and enjoy your good and drinks. Private function rooms are available too. Good selection of food and drinks for all.

Great customer service and delicious food. They did give me the wrong order but immediately fixed it and gave me a new one. They were very kind and overall have a positive vibe. Good food with options for different dietary requirements and friendly staff. However, some cocktails are a little too sweet for my liking. Overall I would definitely recommend.

Aside from the background music that was quite loud, everything else was perfect from the venison to pork belly to pork ribs to fish to pizza and platters. The place is big enough to host parties. The staff were very good at looking after the customers.

Stopped in for a late drink on Tuesday evening at about 9. The place was humming. They have a $7 cocktail menu. My cocktail wasn't award winning, but it was perfectly drinkable. Lovely atmosphere, warm and toasty and certainly the place to be in Hamilton on a Tuesday evening. Service felt very slow for drinks only, but I think they were probably unexpectedly under the pump.

Food was good, need to have air-conditioning...was so hot and uncomfortable while having dinner there.

Love their pasta carbonara!! Their steak meal the most tho. All full of flavour. They had fans in the restaurant for hot days like today which was comforting for us! Good customer service, decent prices for nice food! Will definitely be back again.

A place where you can chill out, get spoiled by friendly staff and indulge delicious food in this beautiful old building. One star less than five due to acoustic problems when noise echos on a busy day. New management will introduce a new menu and I can't wait to check it out. Great work, keep it up!

Loved all of the food! We got a shared entre platter between 2 of us, it was the perfect amount for a started and we got to try everything. I had the venison mains, 100% satisfied. It was beautiful! incredible service every time we have been here and the food is amazing. So many incredible flavours and the food proportions are generous too. Heaps of great specials all week long we are slowly making our way through them, cocktails were great too. Love this restaurant, we will be back. Just had the ribs, so tasty and falling off the bone. The crispy deep fried onions/shallots paired with the sticky sauce really take them to the next level. We will be back. Thanks again.

Great atmosphere - you can dress up a little or be casual and still feel right at home. The staff were truly lovely making for a very welcoming visit. The menu had plenty of choice without being overwhelming and I am excited to go back and try more of their dishes.

I had eye fillet on mashed potatoes and seasonal veges, my partner had the sirloin with new potatoes and seasonal veges, both were outstanding. I ordered the sticky date pudding with mackintosh sauce and vanilla icecream. I must say that dessert was one of the best sticky date pudding's I've ever had. That sauce was sooo good.

Nom nom nom. Can't believe I've lived in Hamilton so long without dining here. Huge tumbs up. Food was great (only critisizm was the green beans were undercooked or they were supposed to be raw, I forgot to ask). A good variety of set daily specials too. Awesome.

Iguana street bar and restaurant Had the privilege of being served by ryan who was very friendly and professional. Me and +1 we ordered a salad and chicken wings followed with the steak meal and a bowl of pasta. Everything was cooked to perfection and we enjoyed every bite which left us two very satisfied. I would definitely recommend iguana to all my friends.

It should have been a good night ... food was good with an initial very attentive and charming waiter. However, under Alert Level 2 the rules were broken and we were attended to, by four different people, even after we asked for the same waiter. The procedures under the new alert Level need to be revised. A pity.

The food was quite nice, our son loved his pizza meal which is saying a lot because he's a bit picky about pizza. But the main thing we enjoyed here was the service. Our waitress was lovely, very accommodating and efficient. Especially to our 9 month old, she made sure he was safe, well occupied, and cool (it was a hot afternoon). Have consistently had good service here.

Amazing coffee, highly recommend the curly and beef fries. Made to perfection. We arrived after the kitchen was closed but they still were happy to quickly wipe us up something to eat.

Ate last week, and the staffs were tremendously good. The Restaurant staffs were very friendly and attentive at all times. They don't leave you waiting for too long. Love their food presentation. Would recommend anyone for dinning as they have good deals every evening. Specially " all you can eat - Ribs night" and 6$ dessert, $6 cocktails. Will be back soon..thanks team Iguana.

Went to Iguana with my family for my birthday. All 7 of us got 3-course meals. We enjoyed the casual but classy ambience, the service was top notch and the food was great. After it all the manager could have made more money out of our party come settlement (and we would have been happy to pay every cent), however he diligently worked out the best savings for our group based on multiple teirs of specials they have. After such a fun night with great service we'll definitely have to go again.

Had a major wait issue however they sorted it really well. Had one poor waitress dealing with something like 15 tables so hopefully she gets more than just minimum wage for that. Lunch mains were good and dessert was awesome. Been to places before where you wait and only get a drink comped so this was amazing service for the circumstances.

Awesome place to dine at my wife and I went for dinner on Monday night we had the 3 course platter meal absolutely fantastic and delicious when we left we didn't feel overly full and all the platters were fresh and tasty.....would definitely recommend the 3 course platters for couples....awesome place to dine in....

Went in for a grabone lunch and the calamari entree was nice but the fish and chips main was burnt and the fries were so over cooked you couldn’t put a fork through some and they just broke. Most of the fries were the dregs from the fryer. The salad was fairly dismal too. The service was great though, very friendly staff and the place had a nice atmosphere. Maybe when you eat there on the normal menu it might be better? But if that’s the case, it’s a real shame they serve up seconds quality for voucher meals.

Food was superb, pizza 🍕 and dessert. Unfortunately service was quite slow, even though sat down at 18.20, and, didn't realise till time to pay that we had large pizza and not medium which meant an extra $8 on the bill. Staff should ask you if you want med or large. But would definitely recommend.

Love how they have great all you can eat desserts and ribs. A shame they dont have an allergy list as I am an anaplylatic. The waiter was amazing to ensure I could eat..Chef not so much lucky I had an understanding waiter. As a chef myself its actually lucky I know what I want.

Food was pretty good, but service was very slow despite the restaurant not being all that busy.

Very professional and friendly staff. They went out of their way to change our order, which wasn’t what we expected. The only reason we give 4 stars, is that the prices are extremely high but unfortunately the quality of the food doesn’t match the prices.

Wow. Fantastic service. We stopped going there a couple of years ago because the service wasn't good and the food not tasty. In July Iguana supported a local Rotary charity event which they served 200 people a main dish. The fact that they did this and that the dish was so delicious we decided to give them another go. I'm delighted to say it was excellent. We're definitely going to go back there.

We both enjoyed lovely meals - my wife had the pork belly and I had the sirloin. Both meals were well presented and the veges were nicely cooked too. Staff were helpful and friendly. It was a very cold night and the restaurant could have been 1 or 2 degrees warmer. Otherwise top notch and they give discounts on presentation of the Entertainment book card.

Not as amazing as I remember it. Super friendly staff though and the food was good, just not great.

I went there for the $1 wings and they’re so good!!!!! I was served by Cindi and she made sure everything was great and checked up on us often but not too often! It’s such a vibe!

The service at Iguana was exceptional. I'd even go so far as to say that it may be the most customer focused place I've ever been to. The food was delicious - my favorites were the bao buns with pulled pork and slaw and the house cheesecake, which was devine. My family had a great time and the place had a good vibe humming with full tables of happy pleasant customers.

Fiance took me out for birthday dinner, we had a great time. Food was amazing, best steak of my life. Servers were fast and attentive and went the extra mile to make it a fantastic experience. 10/10 would recommend and we will definitely be coming back :)

The atmosphere and dining is good. We had a work function and we filled the rear functions room. Wait staff were very efficient however the meals took forever to be served. Food was well presented when recieved tho.

Sat 20 March easy to book on line, really friendly staff great service and the four of us had really nice meals infact the best steak I have every had thank you guys.

We had a lovely lunch here today.The place is very clean. The manager and staff were very friendly and it has a relaxed atmosphere. The garden bar looks awesome too. Toilets were clean. Food was well presented and very tasty.

Me and my partner went to Iguana 24th Nov 2019. We ordered THE IGUANA EXPERIENCE $110 which has Entry share platter and Mixed grill platter and Dessert platter. Three course dinner. WOW!!!! it was huge!!! each platter has full of meal!!! Taste was so great and The atmosphere of the restaurant was awesome!!! very friendly and good customer service :))) We are so Satisfied. I will definitely back to Iguana again!!!

Staff were fantastic, ribs were awesome and the serving was generous even thought it was alll you can eat ribs night we could not make it all the way through our first helpings lol.

I was disappointed with the service last night. The wait person took drinks orders from several tables before running them up on the till and and pouring them. Mean while another came and took our food order and the food arrived before the drinks😮. After the mains our table was half cleared, we didn’t stay for dessert..... Sorry not a good report card.

Came in with small group just as they were cleaning up. We only wanted dessert, so they kindly accommodated us & we all had a fabulous end to our night. Very impressed - they must have been tired but at no time did we feel 'in the way' or pressured to hurry.

This place is our weekly out from all the stressors. The ambience and hospitality at Iguanas 🦎 is impeccable. Always good vibes and great energy from staff. What an amazing experience!!They gave excellent service and were particularly very good with children and quite accommodating too. My son wanted a chicken burger from the lunch menu (at dinner time!) and they asked the chef and he happily obliged. Would definitely visit again.

We had Lunch there today ,45 ladies agreed the food was the best we had tasted in a long time. Great selection to choose from all cooked to perfection , I personally had the salmon with prawn mashed potatoes .Couldn't fault it.

It's outside isn't too attractive. But don't let it fool you. Food is excellent. And if you go are hungry, order the Iguana Experience set. It's nzd 110 (total price) and comes with 3 courses: starter platter contains a small slab of pork ribs, fried shrimps, chicken wings, fried cheese and salad. Main platter contains warm and cold greens and 3 types of meat. I can only say the shirlon is excellent. Then there's the dessert platter. There's no service charge and they allow you to take away if you can't finish all. For two of us being super hungry, we can barely touched the dessert.

Great food, great hospitality Travelling through Hamilton NZ and want great food at a reasonable price which can accommodate all the families needs, then head on in to the Iguana Bar and Restaurant in Victoria St. My wife and I had a 3 course set menu which was sumptuous and filling. Their menu is seasonal and they make some very interesting cocktails. If you live local or are passing through Hamilton NZ stop in, the staff are friendly and helpful and you will have a good time.

The food was good and the waiter who served us was great. Unfortunately our dessert order got lost and we ended up waiting over 45 minutes in total but he was great when we asked - got it out quickly on the house and also gave us a voucher. For that effort after the mess up I would give it another go.

Went here for dessert... the brownie I ordered was horrible... the description on the menu was deceiving... had no sauce as described the brownie was cold the icecream tasted watery and service???? Very rude!!! Only positives... presentation was ok! And my dog loved the brownie so...wasn't a total waste of time and money... wouldn't bother coming here again though. For me, it's the same kind of experience every time I have come to this place. Sorry Aunty but scrap the cheap dessert option...I'd rather spend a little more and be able to at least enjoy what I'm eating.

Stopped for brunch. The best bacon butty I've had for a long time. Coffee was also excellent with free refills (not filter coffee as in USA). 2nd flat white as good as the first. Would highly recommend for brunch stop even if it looks empty.

Great place for a family meal. Not the cheapest but definitely one of the tastiest. One of the few places in Hamilton we've found to be so consistent with perfectly cooked steak.

I escaped from work this Thursday especially to catch up with friends and enjoy Iguana's AYCE ribs. It didnt disappoint, so goood. The ribs are tender, slightly smoky from the grill. Such a generous portion, service was good. Come earlier as it gets crazy busy from 730pm onwards. Sit in the booth if you want to get good photo quality! 😉

Not what it used to be. Service "just ok" little things like being shown to your table and the person would carry the menus. Instead we were given the menus and pointed in a general area " just sit anywhere not labeled reserved. Don't order the pork belly. It was pulled port with shavings of cold crackle tooth breakers. Maybe it's just poorly managed as the staff are not all that bad

Recently we held our annual Sales Focus group at Iguana. We used the Garden Bar for this venue due to the large seating arrangement. The venue was perfect it ticked all the boxes. Projection equipment was also provided. The catering was amazing, I couldn't fault it! Anyone looking for a corporate venue with all the bells and whistles Iguana has it all.. 10/10

Iguana is one of the best places in Hamilton to have food with friends and family, ambiance is nice table choices are great to sit inside, outside or in lawn to relax. Staff is friendly and attentive, my family loves the food specially big breakfast on weekends.

Iguana has been around what feels like forever. It's lasts because it has the formula right. Large menu selection, something for everyone. Suitable for kids too.

아 I still don't understand why this restaurant checked foreigner's airport to enter and order some foods. Though I and my friends had other way to prove that we are not minor, they refused us. So we had to go back to home and bring airport to order meal. It was frustrated. But Malaysian restaurant which located near Iguana didn't check airport. And that restaurant is also operated by Kiwi. It's my curiosity still not solved. 여기 외국인 여권검사합니다..안가져가면 나가라함ㅋㅋ가격 젤비싼 스테이크(Rib eye)랑 두번째로 비싼스테이크랑 맛에 별 차이없음. 현지 유명 레스토랑이기는 합니다.

Great atmosphere but not very impressed with quality of the meal or service standards considering the price. A lot of room to work on especially they are located in heart of Hamilton city central surrounded by other competitors.

Excellent food and service, at a great price. We eat at iguana often and are never disappointed.

Desserts were great and the staff were friendly, particularly jade.
