I've been coming to this restaurant ever since I could remember, I spent most of my birthdays there too celebrating with delicious food. Every single dish is exactly how it should taste, or even better. Their tandoori chicken is so tasty, I have eaten different tandoori chicken all over nz but this restaurant tops every one I have tasted. The restaurant has affordable prices and kind staff. I highly recommend, 5/5 stars!

Service and atmosphere were great, lamb dish was good too, just that our noodles were bit odd as something (one of ingredients) was off due to which dish wasn't upto the standard. Our server took the feedback and hopefully it will be looked into.

I have been visiting this restaurant for the past 6 years. First time I tried their Masala Dosa. I will always give 10/10 for it. It’s so yummy. Apart from that, we always like their Main course dishes and Rotis/Naans. All perfectly cooked and everything is so delicious. We really loved it. Great customer service and good staff. Highly recommended for both family and bachelors team. If you really wanna taste authentic Indian cuisine, just visit them. You won’t regret for that.

Made the order through Uber Eat and it was so good, i love the butter chicken and the garlic -butter naan bread , really delicious and tasty, do recommend and you guys will be on my favorite list from now on

I would give the restaurant a 3.5 star. I ordered chicken Rogan Josh with butter naan. First of all the food arrived in just 10 mins, so that was a good thing and place was not crowded. As far as taste of food concerned, it was bit disappointing. The curry tasted good but I don't think it was Rogan Josh, it tasted like normal chicken curry. If I had been ordered a normal chicken curry, I would have given a 4 star but Rogan Josh could be better.

Mine and my partners favourite restaurant. We love the food and the great service. I always get my usual which is palak paneer and my partner always gets his go to favourite dish, kadai chicken. Good place for India food close to me. The Chettinad Lamb I had was good. The lamb isn't dry and it soaked up the flavours of the sauce.

I used to come here multiple times a week for years when I lived in Hamilton. I moved to Auckland and can not find anywhere as good as Royale Indian restaurant. They have the best onion bhaji and sauce I have ever had. The lunch special is a great deal and I always leave with a full tummy. Whenever I am in Hamilton I try to make time for a meal and royale Indian. Great friendly staff, delicious food, what more could you want?

Great food, value, service and staff. We are regulars and they know our food and drink orders and where we like to sit. The manager Tanu (not sure if I've spelt it properly) is so lovely and she always makes us feel so welcome. As vegetarians, it is wonderful to have such an array of yummy, healthy food to choose from. I also like the bright colour of the walls. Love it!

I ordered this delivered last night. The staff were very helpful on the phone - all the vegan curries are gluten free, and about half can be made dairy free. I got the channa massala and the dal makhani, as well as onion baji (like deep fried onion rings) and vadai (a lentil and chickpea flour savoury donut), and poppadoms instead of rice with my curries. I had asked about soup on the phone and none of the options were GF, but my order came with one I didnt see on the menu (a lentil and vege soup) which was so nice. I was unwell- which was why I didnt want to cook, and it was the perfect thing, it was really tasty as was everything. There was the usual sauce for my sides- the taramind sauce, as well as two extra sauces, a tomato chutney-like sauce, and a white sauce that tasted mildly like creamy tofu, it was such well-timed extra care that I needed and appreciated so much. Great service, amazing food, delivery is easy to use online (just specify no dairy online, but clarify over the phone over which you can do this with). The Makhani is my new favourite from here. *The only thing that would be great if they offered is things like butter chicken, tikka massala but with tofu instead of meat! Highly recommend this place.

We went to royale indian for the first time lastnight, and boy am I glad I listened to the review. I can safely say that this is by far the best indian food I have had. Mango chicken, butter chicken and Rogan josh on point l, we also tried the lamb friend rice and onion bhaji and my word there fried rice was BANGING and the cheese and garlic stuffed naan bread was yumyumyum. Service was awesome a young man called parteek took care of us and even gave my girl a sample of the mango shake. Thank you for the best Indian dine in yet for us, we will definately be back.

Amazingly good prices for great tasting Indian food. The environment is ideal for children insomuch as I am able to bring my kids here for dinner and they are served quickly with meals, and the inevitable noise which they generate isn't carried through the restaurant.

If you study at Waikato Uni, Royal India restaurant is the place to go for Indian cuisine. The lunch specials being 11$ for a Indian bread, choice of curry, bowl of rice and a choice of soft drink is one of the best options for lunch deals around. There are some parking spaces as well and the staff are friendly and provide quick service. The food itself is quite good, the chicken tikka masala and malai tikka are must have dishes as well. Plenty of seating available as well. Overall a great and affordable Indian place to visit near the Waikato Uni.
