This used to be our favorite go to many years ago. The staff are friendly, the shops clean and lovely atmosphere for a fish n chip shop. I think I just got there before closing and it was a fish we had never tried. It was not good sadly.

An absolute gem of a chippy. Our family have been coming here for over 18 years, and everything served here is just quality! Excellent selections of fresh fish as well as seafood thats hard to find elsewhere. Pricing is also reasonable, and the staff are always friendly and very helpful. Also can get very busy some nights so there can be long waits but it is well worth it!

The texture was perfect as was the amazing selection of fresh kaimoana in the shop but we binned half of our order due to the overpowering lemon in the raw fish and salt on the deep fried stuff. The potential for greatness is right there though, hence the 4⭐

My absolute apologies Seafood Bazaar, you are correct I made the wrong comment for your shop with the kina and baby paua for that I am sorry, however I did not like how thick and greasy your fish, mussels and oysters were, I feel you did not drain food well enough nor had the oil at the right temperature and perhaps your oil may have needed to be changed.

Online orders with overnight shipping to Auckland. Absolutely blown away by the customer service, highly responsive and responsible. Beautiful range of seafood selection. The good: the fish is excellent and the portions are huge. The bad: the chips are pretty average quality. The portion again is large but I'd only want a huge portion of average food if I'm feeding a bunch of teenagers on a budget. The Ugly: the burgers are not good at all. Floury soft soggy bun, way too much salad. They made the odd decision to put the cheese between the lettuce and tomato so that there are pieces of cold shredded cheese falling out while you try to eat it. The meat patty was flavourless. If I go again I'll order fish only and skip the rest.

It was honestly close to a 4.5 review only for the fact that its not always consistently amazing. The fact that it is really really good is a 4 on uts own. Fresh fish, good people and great takeaways are all great merits. But like all fish and chip places, sometimes the chips are over done. Sometimes the fish is underdone. These things are all just 1 in 50 descrepancies but it is my small complaint.

One would think this would be the location for the freshest fish, in my experience of going there 3 weeks in a row. Each time the fish was very watery, flaky and would fall apart before getting out of the pan. Hopefully it was just a coincidence, but honestly I've found countdown to have competitive pricing and superior fresh quality fish.

Lots of fresh seafood on offer. Whole fish, fish fillets, smoked fish, oysters, kina, king prawns crayfish and more. Raw fish and seafood salads etc. They also do Great fish'n chips. Ask what the fish of the day is and if you don't like it choose from all the fresh fish and they will cook it for $1. They also do great burgers at a really good price. I always get a bacon and egg burger with pineapple for only $6.50 and the meat patties are made fresh. Yum!
