A takeaway of the kind that I remember in my youth. We ordered a corn fritter and a mussel fritter. Unfortunately we'd already had dinner elsewhere so couldn't indulge. They were HUGE, crispy & well cooked. I especially liked that they made sure they were well drained before wrapping them. Perhaps my only criticism is that my corn fritter seemed a little doughy. I'd certainly have no hesitation in ordering from here again if I passed thru in the future. I'd suspect that their hamburgers would be the real deal too.

The BEST Fish and Chips in Hamilton - perhaps in New Zealand! I've travelled both islands extensively, and I have not had better. Each different fish on the menu is yum - batter or breadcrumbs. And the chips are crunchy on the outside, and soft and hot on the inside. Yum-yum. The team functions like a well-oiled machine, and they are always friendly. I usually phone in my order, and they greet me personally when I arrive. The place is always sparkling clean, and they quite often offer free lemons or lemon quarters. Their products are traditionally presented. I am SO grateful that I live close by, and I anticipate a trip there with glee! . Yes, I'll be back!

My partner and I have lived in Hamilton East for almost nine years, and we both say this is the best fish and chips we have had in Hamilton. Hot dog was great too. I wish we had known about you guys sooner. Thanks for our nice Tuesday dinner :-)

Lovely family that's been around for years. Prices might be slightly up there on some but everything is big. Bigger fish and fresh, bigger hotdogs than anywhere else, and good size scoops of chips etc. Well worth a visit across town for the quality, if they're not your local store.

First time trying there burgers I got a cheese 🍔 best cheese burger ever from any fish n chip shop. Home made Patty just how I would make it 😋 delicious plenty of cheese. Excellent fish and chips! This place is popular, so it's best to phone an order in if you can. Expect a wait of 20-30 minutes at busy times, but it's worth it.

I've been going here for five years or so now. I've had the occasional proof its operated by humans, some days they are better than 95%, other days they out do themselves. Generally the quality of food is very high, the place is ship shape, and has good atmosphere, a by product I assume of the crew on deck. Great burgers.

Was once an award winner according to the stickers on the front window, but those times seem to have passed them by. Ok food tho, terrible location full of bums and beggars all around, still the place is popular as took us an hour to get the mediocre food. Unless you are a local, I would say keep driving on past...sadly
