A group of us went to the 'Trust the Chef - Tasting Menu' event last night to try out the new menu and every single course we tried (8 courses) was ab-sol-utly DELICIOUS. I was blown away by the variation, flavours and presentation, even dishes i wouldnt normally pick off a menu were outstanding! Do yourself a favour and go try anything (or everything) on the new menu and you will not be disappointed 👏🏼👏🏼 🤤🤤

Good food and coffee.. the portion was also generous as a tapas, and the staffs were very helpful.. just feel that within the price range, the ambience was not playing a good role..

I went with a few hungry, food loving friends to try experience the selection of food on offer with their “trust the chef” evening. Let me assure you, that my full trust is in that chef now!!! He can name my first born child, look after my life savings and lead me blindfolded through a room full of spiders – FULL TRUST! Plate after plate of decadent, flavourful, creative masterpieces rolled out of the kitchen. Every plate was more amazing than the next and after starting the night with a slight concern we’d have to swing past the drive thru on the way home, we were all so full and joyously satisfied that you almost had to roll me out of the restaurant at the end of the night. You can tell this chef cares about what he puts out. He has taken time and many years of experience to master his craft to create such incredible explosions of flavour and awe-inspiring presentation. So many things that came out, I never would’ve considered ordering from the menu, but most of them ended up being my favourites of the night. The food was exquisite - fine dining quality, but to help make this an unforgettable night, the staff were all friendly, welcoming and attentive, the fire was burning, the atmosphere was lovely. Do yourself a favour and get to Windy Ridge Tapas Bar & Eatery. You will not be disappointed! My compliments to the chef!

We came and had the 'trust the chef' option which is 8 tapas including dessert. We loved all the food. Our favourites were the prawn toast and the coconut dessert. The restaurant is really allergen friendly. I needed the food to be dairy free and they did an amazing job ensuring all 8 meals were dairy free for me. Usually when we go out there's only 1 or 2 items on the menu dairy free so I really appreciated it. We will definitely be back!

Great food to share, friendly staff and excellent service. Great attitude that makes customers feel special and they always provide a little something extra or a discount. Just feels like a special part of the community.

Wow!! What an amazing night!!! My mother, friends and I went in the for ‘Trust the Chef’ tapas night. The staff were extremely friendly and super professional. Traceys knowledge about the food was impressive and her jokes definitely topped it off! Where do I even start with the food?! Every course was exceptionally well presented, you almost didn’t want to ruin the presentation when tucking into it for your first bite. All the flavours really worked well together, and I can tell this was really well thought of. Kudos to the new Chef, I will definitely be back!

We have had Tapas on two occasions over recent months, breakfast once and enjoyed wines in front of the fireplace At the ‘Ridge’. Without exception the food has been fabulous, the service cheerful (if a little nervous for the newbies) and attentive and the atmosphere is great. Once the music was a little loud but always turned down when asked. Having the ‘Ridge’ on Ohaupo’s doorstep is great, even if you just pop in for a glass or two by the fire. Well done Danielle, Tracey and the team!

To say I enjoyed the trust the chef is a massive understatement.... loved everything that was served and enjoyed the atmosphere and banter from the staff... 5 stars is not enough!!!

We had a truly fantastic experience with Windy Ridge for our wedding ceremony and reception, highly recommended. Our guests had a wonderful time and we have nothing but fond memories of the day, the food, the staff and the location. Thank you again!

Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was delicious (loved the calamari and pork belly). Can't wait to try some of the other dishes next time we visit.

Took the entire family to opening night. It was a special night coming out of COVID-19 lockdown, where all health risks were taken care of. The family favourite meal was Fried Butter Milk Chicken, you need more than one serving. Highly recommend

Thanks crew for the great food. Especially loved the pork pancakes and the brownie was to die for. We throughly enjoyed the outside courtyard on a beautiful evening.

We really enjoyed the food, especially the beef cheeks, yummy! Have been a couple of times now, and would definitely go again, especially with a group to share the good food.

A nice atmosphere with attentive staff. A good selection of options to cater for all tastes. Spent a nice relaxing couple of hours there. Would be good for larger groups, allowing for more sharing of the different options available.

The restaurant is nicely presented and the Tapas are absolutely beautiful. The best brownie desert I have ever had! We will be going back :)

Went for brunch. Food was lovely but the coffee was extremely late and we had to ask where it was, after we had already finished our food. Turns out the coffee machine had malfunctioned and they got it fixed but no one came to tell us that.

Yummy food and a decent HOT cup of tea.

Amazing food, knowledgeable staff, my overall experience was great especially given it is such a new restaurant. My favourite was the cauliflower dish. Yum!
