B. L.Honestly, our expectations weren’t high after going to lots of sushi places in small towns around New Zealand. We were blown away. Between our family of four, over a few days, I think we tried almost every piece of sushi they had on offer.
A variety of flavours- all very fresh and flavours worked well. Our kids loved the idea of the “hamburger and chicken nugget sushi” although as expected they were novelty but not repeat orders. Love that you can get the regular but they also offer octopus, eel, crab & more.
Thanks for the delicious sushi and we’ll be back. Rice ball option would be a winner
A. K.Fresh and tasty, good prices. The salmon nigiri was great. I'm glad that I can have the fantastic quality sushi like I used to eat in Japan in Hanmer. Highly recommended

P. S.Came here to grab something for dinner - the PYO sushi was great for the kids! I ordered the teriyaki salmon poke bowl and my husband ordered the karage chicken curry - both were delicious and fresh and the portions very generous in size. Would definitely return!
T. C.delicious fresh sushi, made with care. there are plenty of choices to pick from! If you come after 2pm you can request rolls made for you, a minimum of 4 pieces per flavour, and it's well worth the wait (5-10minutes). I got the crispy chicken and teriyaki chicken dragon rolls, both were very tasty. there are boxes by the cabinet so you get to pick the sushi your self with tongs. the wasabi is also made in store by the chef! :)

J. G.Really welcoming and lovely people. Hanmer can be a real hit and miss when eating out but this place is a must to try. The quality of food is incredible and all tastes very fresh.
