N.OMG I declare this is the best Thai food restaurant in New Zealand. I'll come back to Hanmer Springs not just for the pool but this hidden gem for sure!! Ordered food earlier and asked to send at 7.30pm, there he was 7.30pm right in front of our room! The food.. emm overall I feel like I was in Thailand (thank god its cheaper as I dont need to travel to Thailand).
The entrees prawn wonton & chicken wings yummmm. Crispy outside juicy inside.
Tomyam soup - the best. Im confident they dont use tomyam paste in jar. If they use, it must be the best premium quality. The chilli chicken basil so fresh that i can see basil leaves in the dish but next time I'll order hotter than Thai hot. Was pleasantly delicious. The garlic pepper dish, my husband talked about it till the following day. So good & tasty. The fried noodle, my kids loved them. Nothing gone to waste. Thank you Mr Yunan. We had a great mini break not just because of the pools but your service and food. Please give your chef a pat on the back from us & one for you too. Much respect from Christchurch.

A.Great little gem in the small town of Hanmer Springs. Keep in mind that you are hours from any large city. This place will satisfy your Thai/Asian cuisine craving. They are accurate with their times for delivery or take away. Great food, convenient location.
T.Very lovely food. Only about a 20minute waitif you go in and order. They also take phone orders which we did the 1st time we had a meal from there.
R.Really good fresh food served here. Be warned, it is very popular and you can sometimes be told it will take an hour for the food. However it is really nice and worth the wait.

They only have takeaways and do free delivery. Which is fine as you want to enjoy your holiday home and great for big families.

Best thai green curry I’ve had (#14) and my hubby loved his Chicken and vegetable peanut dish.
I got mild spice and it was perfect for me. Warm but not at all overpowering.

R.Food was delicious. We had the massaman lamb shanks and the thai green curry with prawns. All mains come with your choice of steamed rice, fried rice or fried noodles. It's more of a takeaway spot however they have one picnic table outside and they do free delivery. The lamb was soft and fell off the bone and a perfect combination with the curry and the prawn green curry had a mixture of delicious veges that weren't just frozen vege mix slapped into the curry, both were amazing. Also the service was great, the guy there was nice and helped with our indesiciveness. Highly recommend.
T.The stir fry vege in black pepper sauce and Venison was great. Very great guy accommodating our orders and suggested must try meals. Will definitely order some food here whenever I'll Hanmer.

N.Food was amazing, The very famous awful fish cakes was yummy. Only reason for 4 star is due to long waiting time (n that's due to them been super busy) if you have kids please order earlier like 5.30 - 6pm. Oh and they deliver which is great.

The rest of our meal was great, they delivered on time great service and very friendly service.
But seriously guys those fish cakes ?? I won't order those again we threw them away, much better Thai Fish Cake recipies out there.
A.We had a bit of an order mix up, and they sorted it out, on a very busy night, very quickly and without any problem. And more to the point, the food was very good (especially the Pad Thai).
S.Just a couple of tables seating outside the place but they do deliver. Food was delicious, especially the chicken wings. They were perfectly crispy on the outside & tender on the inside. Definitely recommend this one in Hanmer springs. Worth checking out the hours as they only open in the afternoons.

Waitress the German lady very good the other Chinese lady seemed out of her depth and couldn't serve us leaving it to the owners wife.
Then she sat at a table playing with her phone and eating her meal which didn't present a good image as she would go to customer to her dinner etc.
The food was very good only hiccup was rice was very late but they did take the main meal back and reheat it.
Menu prices for New Zealand standards were quite livable.
c.Great friendly service. Prompt delivery. Had vege spring rolls, prawn dumplings, prawn green curry and pad tai. All was tasty, fresh, and delicious. Definitely recommended. Well done.

O.Had a Kung Pao Chicken and Lemon chicken.... tasty with fresh vege that weren’t soggy and over cooked... decent portions too... the ribs were also melt in your mouth albeit maybe a little too soya sauce flavoured.... the Thai fish cakes? I could eat them by the kg! So good! Combined with the friendly service I’ll surely Come again!

l.Travelled all the way to NZ ended up eating Chinese, and boy I was not disappointed. Have to be one of he best Chinese takeaways I have had. Fast friendly and delicious. If ever in Hanmer Springs do recommend:

p.Yum! Yum! Yum! Probably the best Chinese takeaway we’ve had in NZ. Great flavours, plenty of fresh veg and large portions for the price. Our new Hanmer favourite!

:No47-Stir fried Noodles with Dark Soy Sauce with combination meats and pawn all in Mild Spice.Plenty for 2 people.It was no problem to adjust for me.They even delivered the menu(before order) as I couldn't read on my cellphone.lol.Excellent service.Total $$$ with Free delivery:$53..Very Reasonable.

S.This restaurant has a Chinese and Thai menu and offers free delivery in Hanmer Springs. We ordered the tom kha soup from the Thai section of the menu which was delicious, but we didn't enjoy the pork ribs and the pork belly with bok choy from the Chinese menu - we found it far too sweet for our tastes (I am a very fussy Asian). We've since found out that they have a couple of Thai chefs - so maybe it would be better to order from the Thai menu.
