T.Pleasantly surprised! I haven’t been for quite a long time. I used to visit when Colin owned the business and haven’t been back since. I was very pleased to see the current owner still makes his own chips, offers wet fish (and will cook it) and also separates the fish into a little tray. Great to see that the current owner hasn’t skimped on these things as it’s what makes Macs special.

D.This was our local when we lived a couple of clicks away. It seemed to change owners two or three times and the results weren't great two or three times. But today we decided to try again. Crumbed gurnard, crumbed tarakihi and chips. All very tasty and enjoyable. The only downside was a slight fatty after taste at the end.
M.A big Thank you to Mac's fish supply, I've been treated once again to the best Fish and Chips. Golden crisp battered fish accompanied by equally golden deliciously cooked chips. Thanks guys for having the passion to make your customers smile each time they bite into your kiwis staple treats.

a.Hi; I came in today 23rd July 2015 and spoke to you about Mac who'd owned the place which I was unaware he'd sold it 2yrs ago. My memory of Mac's was that crisp chips and fluffy fish. The order I got today which was 2 scoops and 4 fish was okay but not what Mac's used to be sorry. Quite sad especially paying $4.20 per fish.
