This is the best curry i have ever eaten in New Zealand. The service from the young fella is excellent! If you're South African and like Bunny chow, this is the place to go. You'll never buy takeaway food from anywhere else again. This place needs more advertising! Please spread the word and bring family and friends to enjoy the wonderful food and service. Thank you for bringing Durban curry to Hastings! 🙏

We are so thrilled to have found Spice Traders in Hastings. It is the most tasty and authentic Indian food we have eaten in New Zealand! We go there frequently, and we are always impressed. The depth of flavour in the food is incredible. Our favourite is a dosa. The lamb biryani is out of this world too. When our daughter and her partner visit from Wellington as visit to Spice Traders is a must. Thank you, Spice Traders! We will be back soon.

The food here is good. However, I dont think I would have returned if I had the displeasure of being served by the lady order taker the first time around. She was so impatient and rude. Management needs to train there staff equally in customer courtesy.

Super friendly staff and recommended dishes they thought we would like, but in the end our craving for chicken korma was far too great. Come here for your Indian cuisine as there are countless others around Napier/Hastings area you'll never go wrong here. Keep up the good work and customer experience, well be back again soon! ;)

I tried their masala dosa that I was craving for 2 weeks. It was massive and worth the price. Flavour was so on point. Sambhar was delicious. Loved it. The only thing I would like to suggest to management is to give bit more training to staff to keep the restaurant tidy taken as in priority because I was there for almost an hour and a half and most of the tables which were already dirtier never been cleared for the time being and the fact was it was not busy. Staff seems busy catching up with each other. As a hospitality staff, I would consider keeping the restaurant clean and tidy for customers to make it pleasant vibe.

Awsome place.... Impressive interior Taste is among the best i got in NZ. If you are a foody must visit this place. I'm definitely gonna visit again & again. Specially it reminded our food in India...... Thank you to serve that taste overseas ☺😋

Lovely casual setting. Very clean. Great customer service. Food is absolutely Devine especially the mango chicken. Great selection of Curry's. Sorry Bollywood but you have now become my second option.

Experience was excellent. Service was fast and accommodating, and the food that we bought was hot even after a quick trip to the supermarket! I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and the sauce was deliciously spicy. There was also a good meat to rice ratio and it didn't feel stingy. Brilliant restaurant! :D

I’ve had take out two times now from this place - my gosh, both curries have been outstanding. Quite honestly the best I’ve ever eaten!! The staff are so friendly and helpful and there’s soooooo many options to choose from!! 5 stars isint enough for this place, you guys deserve 10 stars!! 😄😄😄

Love the indian food here. Best Spice Traders ever!!! Food is tasty and they have a wider variety compared to others!!! Generous portions too! Been coming here for months and the quality of food and service has not changed!!Try the Lamb Biryani with Mango Chicken and Raita. My favorite combo!!

Good variety and quality of food. Quick service. The guy at the counter can nicely explain indian food to those who are familiar with the cuisine. Do try Indian Chinese food and dosa items. They are my favorites!
