M.The food is great, but I recommend the restaurant switch to a Smorgasbord Buffet style for takeaways or even dine in like many other Chinese restaurants. It would be much nicer to be able to pick a small amount of each food sort you like and have an assortment rather then having to order a giant container of just one food that you get sick of after 3 mouthfuls. Buffet would ideally suit for people ordering as an individual that want more then one meal type and don’t want to spend $20 on just one item.
p.We were Malaysian/Singaporean tourists. Had rice dish, noodles and soup. Good flavour, fresh ingredients. Very happy with food and portion. 5 star for sure.

J.The restaurant was quite empty for lunch but we thought we would try it anyway. And what a lovely surprise. I'm glad we decided to try it.
We ordered sweet and sour pork, deep fried soft prawns, mapo tofu, beef fried noodles, beef fried flat rice noodles and white rice. Portions were quite large. Everything was delicious and authentic.
Then we went back for dinner and ordered stir fried vegetables, beef on sizzling plate and fish in chilli oil and white rice again. Another delicious meal. We couldn't be happier.
W.First time with takeaways 3 dishes for $60 found these very basic sadly I was disappointed.

S.Grabbed takeaways here for the family, service was friendly, food was ready quick and was good value Chinese. Nuggets on the menu kept the kids happy whilst we had fried rice and chicken Kung pao cannot fault.

C.Have only been here for takeout but the food is consistently of a high standard, average waiting time for large or smaller order has always been 10 minutes. Reasonably priced particularly since the portions are large and one main meal feeds two adults (in our house anyway)
N.Visited here around the Chinese New Year and was served very good dumplings! I love dumplings and have high standards. After living in Washington DC for 5 years I have been spoiled with amazing din sum and rarely find food that compares. This was very good and a welcome break from the very heavy, greasy, incredibly fried NZ cafes we have eaten the past few weeks. Happy New Year! Welcoming in the year of the Pig!
C.The restaurant is very clean, and the prices of rice and noodle are good. We ate in and ordered two dishes more to take away. The portion of taking away is more than eating in. But there’s no vegetables in the vegetable noodle (only a little bit).
S.Came here because we were craving for chinese food. Food was average. The flavour of the sweet and sour pork wasn’t the flavour I’m used to and like, probably it’s more chinese style than Singapore-Malaysia style. Didn’t like the texture of the prawns in the seafood fried noodles as it was too crunchy and didn’t taste like fresh prawns.

T.We were surprised to find such authentic Chinese dishes in Hokitika. They are partial self service as you have to get your own water, bowls, plates, etc. The portions are fairly generous and decently priced!
