Great fresh hot ingredients. I had the chilli basil beef and my partner had the ginger pork belly. Both dishes were stir fried and came with steamed rice. Staff were friendly and knew the menu well. Great fresh flavourful dinner.

Excellent vegetarian evening meal I went for my evening meal during a business visit to the West Coast. The restaurant was full of diners, including families - which is always a good sign. The ambience was good, the service quick and courteous, and the food authentic and delicious. I will be happy to visit the restaurant again, and recommend it to anyone.

First time purchase from an out of towner. Chose Korath Thai because they had great Google reviews and I can see why! Generous portions with rice included for a fair price. We had the sweet and sour pork belly and the green curry. Both absolutely delicious!

The food here was absolutely delicious!! The prawn toast was hands down the best prawn toast we’ve ever tried and the pad thai and the curry puffs were super yummy too!! The lovely lady behind the counter was nice and friendly which we appreciated after receiving bad service at another place in this town. Would definitely come back here!!

The Thai food from here is absolutley amazing, we got a huge selection of food. Dragon noodles, Black Pepper Beef, Pineapple fried rice, Chilli Jam Porkbelly and Satay Skewers. I really couldn't fault any of it, all delicious and great portion sizes. Will go here everytime i come back. Remember the days of not really having anything to have as takeways in hokitika

The best Thai meal I've had in ages. Our meals came out quickly and were all delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. We ordered three mains between 4 adults. The flavours were to die for. Generous portions and a good mix of vegetables and meat. Highly recommend.

The curry puffs were to die for, beautiful little pastry packed deliciousness. So light and airy. The waiter was a treasure, knowledgeable and chatty without overstepping the mark. Will be back. Highly recommend

This place was great! I was staying overnight in Hokitika and a few of the normally recommended places were closed due to it being a Tuesday. I was a little unsure of this place due to a couple of their reviews, but given they seemed like a newer business in town I thought I'd give them a shot and was not disappointed. I got takeout, and ordered the chili jam fried rice with pork belly. There was a good amount of pork belly and it was cooked really nicely, slightly crispy on the outside. The rice and veggies were tasty with the chili jam sauce and it was the perfect amount of spice, and nothing tasted too greasy. The place feels nice and clean and relaxed inside, and the staff were really friendly - although I did not eat in so can't comment on that part of the experience, although their were quite a few tables and the food and presentation looked nice. And even though there were a few tables my food came in good time and was an expected time to wait. Ended up having a great one night stay in Hokitika and this place was one of the many unexpected gems that made it a nice visit!

As far as flavour goes I think it's one of the best, however there is a lack of meat in the dishes. Bought a number of dishes so we could try a bit of everything but the meat didn't go far between everyone. Noodles and rice is inexpensive. For the price you would expect a decent amount of meat.

We got the prawn toast and spring rolls for entree and these were not good. The toast was oily and definately not worth $12 for 4 small oily pieces. Pretty sure the spring rolls were the ones you buy in the supermarket for the same price but get 60 not 8...barely any filling and no flavor. The mains were nice though and have good flavour and portion size so recommend sticking to mains only.

Food was pretty good, but the customer service needs to be improved. Would rate 2 1/2 as good food doesn’t make up for lack of service. I ordered takeaway and was told 20min wait which was fine. After 50 minutes waiting I went up to ask about my order to discover it had been sitting on the counter for the last 25 minutes. The same lady that served me when I arrived walked past me multiple times and didn’t say a thing and nobody called my name out when the food was placed on the counter. when I said I had been waiting here the whole time they didn’t even apologise . Why even take names if you aren’t going to use them to call out orders.

Wow, the food was so delicious and generous! My new favourite place! Being celiac they were very careful with my meal. I appreciated the extra effort you made. Just need to fix the door as the cold draught whistled in because it wouldn't self shut properly.

A taste of Thailand in Central Hokitika. I'd recommend the Chilli and Basil deep fried chicken. A very popular place as it was continually busy. Good table service. If you like Thai food you won't be disappointed.

Unexpected Sunday night in Hokitika because of a flight cancellation. Came across this lovely Thai restaurant for dinner. Very reasonable prices, very friendly service and very flavoursome food. Only opened a few months ago, a great addition to the town. Authentic Thai fish cakes and lovely pad kee mao (drunken noodles).
