Good first experience but a surprise! I had dinner at Priya during my first ever trip to Hokitika. I had paneer kadhai served with complimentary rice. The preparation was good and the wait time was reasonable. For dessert, I asked for mango kulfi. I was surprised when the dish came. It was a piece of mango kulfi served in a bowl of mango juice (आमरस) and seasoned with pistachio flakes. I have eaten mango kulfi at a lot of places, but never kulfi served in thick mango juice!!

Delicious indian food! Loved the fish curry and butter chicken. Naan was also very fresh. Food took a little long but it was worth the wait!

Great authentic indian food made by Indians. Well priced. Large portions. The chicken tikka was lean breast cubes served with fresh herb sauce. The vindaloo curry also very good. The reasturant setting is modest not fancy but it's all about good food and company. A real gem to eat at. 9.3 /10

Come here often, sometimes they get my curry bang on being medium. Other times it’s more like mild, butter chicken is amazing same with the chicken Tika masala but they just need to nail the heat/seasoning aspects, I’d give 5 stars if they could just get that right. Garlic nan is amazing also!!

Don't understand the bad reviews, my palak paneer was one of the best ever. (lived 5 years in India). My friends butter chicken was great too. No pictures, finished to fast 😁😉👍

Can't understand the bad reviews. Best Butter chicken I ever ate! Combines with the garlic naan just awesome. Go there if you like Indian food! Reasonable Prices!

Took a while for service but they stayed open than imagine is usual as I was eating (around 9pm). Vegan jalfrezi was good, and I was asked how spicy I wanted my meal, which I appreciated. Good poppadoms!

The quality of this food is equal to the best Indian restaurants in San Francisco and other big cities. Medium spicey really means there's some heat. Don't miss this place if you're eating in Hokitika.

The meals we had were lovely but spectacularly lacking in meat... I don;t think there was even the equivalent of 1 drum sticks worth of meat in the Chicken Tikka Masala. Sad as the price doesn't reflect.
