Good quality reasonable meal. The Restaurant replied to me but unable to locate to reply. We were in a group and under the present conditions the staff have a hard enough job serving 22 people. Just felt it was a little long to wait. Otherwise all good.

Meal was enjoyabe, service was great. Not a lover of a restarant that doesn't advertise its bottled beer/drink prices. When I asked the price I was told between this & that... I don't feel you should have to enquire about each price individually. It isn't a problem to me but I know a member of our party would have chosen a soft drink because of this.

So happy with our awesome dinner tonight. Last minute booking for a table of 12, Head of staff went above and beyond to cater to our night and we are grateful. Especially grateful to the amazing trainee waitress (your gonna go far girl 😊) Thank you so much team.

They were super busy but took our booking last minute and delivered EXCEPTIONAL meals. They accommodated a dietary request like champs and the staff were really proactive with taking orders and clearing tables. Great dining experience. The manager is really competent and runs a tight ship. Very impressed. Will definitely be back.

Clean and tidy staff tried hard but we're under the pump we only got offered drinks once and never told the specials. My wife's meal was good my steak was overcooked significantly as was my friends. Big let down I have eaten here often and this was easily the worst time there. Also the ice cream was very poor on my desert tasted like an accountant bought it (Cheap) The above was a previous visit the manager contacted me to ask a few questions and I gave some feedback. She invited me to try again and I did! It was fantastic a credit to the staff no desert this time so can't comment but my steak was spot on well done. All the weak points I noted last time have been remedied excellent.

Just love coming for a bar meal. And have found it safe for gluten free meal as I have Ceolic disease. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. The meau is great and meals are quite nice. And clean and tidy place to go for a meal for all the family. Top marks and thanks.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere. The wait staff were amazing... only let down was.... the steak was kinda chewy even though it was medium rare.... got a discount also which was soooo awesome. Would definitely dine here again 😀😀

Could not fault our night there as a group of 10, we had drinks and bar meals as we wanted a relax night together. Staff were good and we could not fault the meals we received. We had an enjoyable night.

Great food and I would have to say bigger than average meal. Service was first class and we enjoyed the staff being in costumes, especially our Waiter in his onesie. Definitely be back.

Came in for dinner in the weekend. Absolutely beautiful atmosphere the place is always set up so nicely. I had the sirloin porterhouse steak and mushroom sauce on the side. Steak was cooked to perfection and the mushroom sauce is amazing!! No other place can beat their mushroom sauce. Was greeted at the door by the manager, she was super nice and friendly! Overall the service was amazing, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was amazing.

Great service yet again last night. We were extremely impressed with the service we received and how quickly and efficiently the staff worked, especially with it being so busy! Nikki always manages to squeeze us in and always provides the royal treatment! Awesome work team! Can’t wait to dine again! 😊

Yummy seafood chowder, great friendly staff, quick service. Altogether yummy food. Great priced meals for what you get, will definitely come again.

Usually very good, well priced simple meals with halt staff. Latest visit bar meals were good but service was average, very busy night, which I know can make it hard. One waitress told us that she was ignoring an entire table when she bought out our meals (no reason given) not realising we were part of the same group. Ended up getting lots of meals mixed up and many people waiting a very long time for meals.

We had Blue Cod. All aspects of the meal was great. Fish very tasty, fries very good anf likewise the salad. Some venues present a salad which is basically lettuce. Not so here. Lots of onion and other ingredients among the lettuce. Highly recommend Thar and Feathers.

Wow, what a wonderful experience. Greated at the door and shown a table without a planned booking. The service was at a A++ throughout the night. The staff were all so lovely, so polite and very alert to our needs. And the food on each and every plate on our table was some of the better meals with great taste that we've had in invercargill. And to think we've lived within 300 meters of this restaurant for 5 years and never been here.. I must admit, we were sitting in the carpark reading reviews before we stepped in to the thar and feather. Glad we did. Great effort team, be extremely proud of the work you do in this little restaurant. We will definitely be seeing you all again

Saturday evening was not a congenial place to be. Band playing in such a small venue, sound acoustics very bad, building not designed for this purpose. Clients also trying to play pool an already crowded bar as well as bar snacks being served in same area.

Went to the bar side as dining solo and quite late after a brief work trip. Service was adequate. Beer selection typically Southland (good staples like Speights) but no craft beers. Nice decor and bar layout. Ordered the chicken burger and chips, very tasty meal and big serving size (didn't finish which never happens). Came here because it was walking distance bit pleasantly surprised. Drop by.

Great rebuild of the old 'Southland' a few years ago. Food is good and traditional with a modern flare. Nice decor with a kind of homely feel to it. Friendly staff with quick sevice.

Amazing food and great selection of beer that comes in HUGE glasses but had a hard time understanding waitresses. The English they speak in New Zealand is the furthest thing from English I've ever heard. If you know your customers are from America don't speak so fast that we can't understand you. My wife and I both ordered some type of burger but instead they brought us both some type of chicken sandwich. When I asked the waitress, "What the hell?" she replied back "Lu dee burger mate, n' dee chuck. Havin the wizzels n crisps fer ya now!" I said, "Uh...sure!"
