Can’t praise this place enough, the only good restaurant with delicious food to die for… and amazing!!! service!!!!! both crucial things present in the same restaurant, apart from ‘buster crab’ in Invercargill!!!! This place is becoming my new favourite now, Well done guys!!!! Highly recommended, give it a go!!! You won’t be disappointed!!!

The food is to die for, it tastes so good and is really filling. Had to wait a bit to get my order but it was a semi busy night so didn’t care too much. The team were amazing always coming over and checking in to make sure everything was okay and if we needed anything else

Made a reservation and was here again on the evening of the 14th Feb 2021. The experience was much less than I hoped for or expected to be honest. First up I would say that that staff were great. I have no issues with the manner of professionalism or courtesy of the waiting staff what so ever. However I have to say the food was very bland. It was presented well but that was it. I really found the food to be prepared in a way that - I could have done it better myself. Sauces and food generally just flavorless and boring. Fillet Mignon over cooked , king prawns over cooked ( mushy) and generally all round boring meal. I thought the seafood selection on the menu a bit mediocre to. Nothing really on it to jump out and say " I want that!!" The thing that had the nicest taste was the Lemon Cheesecake dessert at the end!! ⭐⭐⭐ from me and only in credit to hard working pleasant table and bar staff. For the food it would be ⭐⭐. I wont be rushing back.

Our second time dining here. Large open dining area, well heated through winter. Clean facilities. Menu has plenty of options, reasonably priced for the size of the meals. Meals were out fairly quickly considering how many were dining. The main stand out was the young gentleman who waited on our table. Always there to see if we needed refills, clearing tables and he very kindly plated up the birthday cake that we brought in for a family member. He is a credit to their business.

Staff friendly. Complained to waitress about steak being so tough I couldn't cut it. so would you believe I was supplied with a sharper knife the cheese was a tasteless variety pity. Partner not totally pleased with her meal either. BUT this may have been a glitch in staffing as all reports we have had before and since have been glowing. We will try again.

Amazing and cosy place for a family dinner! Great staff and real good quality food! We ordered the foundry sizzler and a chicken mignon! I wanted the chicken to be a bit crispy which the chef cooked with so much love that met the needs of my tastebuds!😍 For drinks I really didn't know what to order but the person catering to us made sure I was left satisfied!!🥰 Well spacious and parking facility available. The prices are reasonable too!! Highly recommend this place! ♥️

I've just had an excellent evening meal here. There was a group of 9 of us. We are visiting Invercargill and the place we are staying at recommended The Foundry. We didn't know what to expect, but were very pleasantly surprised. The decor is modern, the service was excellent. The menu had some really well designed options, and the food was delicious, and the servings were of a good size. Not small at all, generous even, but not too big. I had an entree of scallops, and bluff oysters as a side dish, and the catch of the day, which was orange roughy. They weren't as plain as that sounds. Each serving had very tasty accompaniments. Prices were a bit above medium, but well worth it.

The hotel recommended this restaurant when we asked for places that do lamb well. And I have to say they were right. We had the Lamb Madras as well as the Lamb Rump. Both were tasty, particularly the rump. The portions were generous and very tender. The Madras had good taste, but the meat was a little stringy. The staff professional and helpful, but the decoration was just average, and it seemed rather sparse on a Saturday evening.

Fantastic Service! From the time we walked in to the time we left we were treated with so much kindness. Absolutely the best restaurant In have been to with my children as well. They were served first which made it easy for us. The platter for the kids had fruit as well as carrot sticks which I was very impressed with. The staff were fantastic! The young girl with glasses (sorry I cannot remember her name) was so lovely wig all of my family. Super impressed so thank you very much :-)

I went for lunch was a nice meal and very efficient. That’s where the highs ended. We weren’t meal checked I had to go to the bar and carry mine and my families plates to the table. Staff weren’t smiley or very pleasant to be around. Very disappointed I normally go to the tavern and it’s always a great atmosphere.

Our new favorite place to eat in Invercargill! Our reservation got lost, but it wasn't a problem, after a couple more minutes we were seated at a table and looking at the menu. The menu was a little limited, but the meals were definitely iconic southern fare. They catered VERY well for our allergies, which is A BIG plus having an anaphylactic child in the family. Overall we were incredibly impressed, and will definitely go again! The meal itself was perfectly cooked, and well seasoned. They even allowed us to take our excess food home to eat later. Decor was very modern. 10/10

Nice and warm, chairs comfortable good service. Caters well for children. The childrens platter is great for picky eaters. Adults had Sticky Asian pork ribs, New Orleans style fried chicken with potato and cauliflower bake and Sticky Asian pork belly. All plates were delicious, good sized (not too large and value for money) came to the table nice and hot. Would definitely eat at The Foundry again.

Where do I start with this establishment? How about it's value for money? Partially. Some things are worth your money, while others are not (I'm lookin at you, ribeye steak). The place has a great atmosphere, but the staff are a little pushy. However, I still had a great feed, and recommend if you want a good meal.

Recently went here with a few friends and their team was kind enough to not just make one vegan dish for me, but an entree and a special version of their AMAZING mason jar cheesecake as well! I would highly recommend to anyone for great food, great atmosphere, and fantastic friendly service :)

Lovely meal, but again disappointed that I didn't get what I ordered. I did mention it. But I hate making a fuss and the meal I got was nice. However I would never order anything on menu with capsicum, and that's what I got. Eddie loved his venison. Might give the Foundry a miss for a while.

We used this facility for a corporate presentation and the service and food offering was fantastic. The only improvement would be that the presentation screen had doors which did obstruct some screen view-ability. Apart from that this is a great venue for a corporate event
