A.Awesome food and cheerful staff here. Had snapper and chips, which was cooked to perfection. It’s the best place to have a feed after a day at the beach.
K.What a perfect spot. Set on the road just before you head down to the beautiful Matauri Bay.. and the lip road to some of the finest ticked away beaches the far north has to offer. Perfect size, great ambience, and possibly the best bowl of chips I've had to share with a friend since aaages ago! The bar staff are beyond oar and I'm going to call it my new local! Thanks for having us team.

M.As my local I always come for fish and chips and their burgers... These burgers 🍔 are always delicious and their $25 whanau packs GREAT VALUE. Last night come into the bar for a meal and had the grilled steak salad was so worth the money and could easily fed x 2 of us. Always exceptional customer service from takeaway and bar staff. A+++
A.Coffee was hot. We had lunch there too. Burger and fries. Good size burger, needed to be eaten using knife and fork! Fries were crunchy and hot.

To get a line for my fish and chips was a task and I'm surprised I got one because they weren't so keen with parting with their limes.
There are 2 restaurants next to each other one for takeaway and one for dine in.
They are the same food but don't you dare try to eat take away outside.

G.Awesome, love this place, I remember the staff friendly welcoming, very clean authentic old school licenced cafe/bar, Oh and delicious yummy burgers, meals hand made with fresh ingredients. Highly recommend before or after visiting the beautiful nearby bays
L.We had to evacuate due to the tsunami warning and missed having breakfast. We were up at Matauri Bay and went to the Blue Bar Cafe which has a great simple Breakfast menu with great choices. We had a big breakfast which was nice and fatty free, had great breakfast sausages, poached eggs, crispy bacon etc. Coffee was great also. We've eaten here for lunch and found the food very good, they have a take a way option next door at the dairy also. Prices are within a varied range but the meals we've had justify the price considering it a thirty to forty minute drive to Kaeo or Kerikeri for similar meals. This particular day they were very busy as dozens of people were outside and inside for several hours due to the tsunami alerts but the wait time was minimal for our meals.

L.A quick stop for a quick munch turned into a lovely experience and good kai and coffee. The service was great! So kind and welcoming to the area. We got a mocha, ham and cheese toastie and the NZ classic - a vanilla “longest yard” milkshake. The mocha was delicious, the milkshake was creamy goodness, and the toastie - OMG. Honestly think this may be the best toastie I’ve ever had, and was totally unexpected. The ham and cheese was melted perfectly between two fluffy pieces of bread. Was huge in size, and the relish was just yummy. So so happy with this random stop!
S.Surprising little place, may not look the absolute flashest on first look, however could not fault it. Clean, tidy, excellent service, food and drinks delivered promptly, excellent coffee, and one of the best burgers I have had. Friendly staff, the whole experience gets a 10/10 from our group...will definitely return and refer.

Matauri Bay plays host to many hidden treasures, this establishment is no exception.

P.We were starving when we got there. Thank goodness there was fish n chips and a whanau pack. We ordered the biggest pack and fed 6 adults and one child. (Of course with bread, butter and tomato sauce too). Add an extra scoop of chips if you want to be sure there's enough. Will eat here again.
