i came here a few months ago with my dad. these guys have the best butter chicken i’ve tasted in the far north. when we left my dad accidentally left his hat at the restaurant, luckily the staff were kind enough to keep it for the night and return it the next day.

Short 2 day stay in Kaitaia. Indian Spice is a good restaurant that serves great food. My wife commented it was the best garlic naan she had had in a long time. The seafood platter for two was an excellent starter. Two mains followed of which we consumed all but some rice. Service was good too although they were not busy. All in all well worth a visit especially if you like Indian food 😁

Best tasting butter chicken and beef korma i ever had. Iv recently moved from auckland have tryed over 50 butter chicken. And this place does the best by far. I am going to be regular friday night customer! Can't wait to try more out

Tasty lamb biriyani! I traveled around the world, this is the first time I enjoyed lamb biriyani. The meat is so tender, it just falls apart and well mixed spices. My family enjoyed what ever they ordered. It is affordable for family dining on the weekend. We will definitely go back to try all other varieties. Staff were friendly. Complimentary snacks, while waiting for the main food we ordered was nice.

My son and I spent all day traveling North and returned to Kaitaia exhausted and hungry. We ordered our food to go, and the staff of Indian Spice were so generous, they threw in a few extras when they saw how tired we were. The food was delicious and very satisfying after a long day of travel. If you've never tried Indian food before, please do as it satisfies all the tastes and leaves you full and happy. :)

Decided to buy their butter chicken takeaway meal and I was not disappointed. Absolutely delicious and lucky that the Chinese shop next door was closed as this was the reason I decided to try their butter chicken. Im a indian food lover and we stopped yesterday night at the restaurant after a long driving . Its was almost 10 pm and the restaurant was about to close . It was the BEST indian food I haver had and I was more impressed by the team and the chef . Friendly and caring , they wrote on the box the food description with a smile . Its a very good place to enjoy Indian cuisines.
