Had a brilliant dinner. Huge thanks to the staff that gave excellent service. The birthday surprise made the night wonderful and the locals joining in to sing. Thanks for being a highlight in our special day. Very greatful family. Definitely be back again.

Perfect place for our group lunch for 20. Great food, excellent staff, lovely setting. I have numerous good intolerances. I'd advised them ahead of time, and they served me beautiful alternatives with no fuss. Thoroughly recommended. :-)

An inpromptu night, "Let's go to the Talisman for dinner". We ordered two salads: Cobb Salad with prawns and a beef Thai salad. Best pub food ever, great service from Michelle and her team. Thanks, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. A great night out!

We found this on route to Tauranga. The food was excellent, very fresh and tasty (we had wood fired pizza and mussels). The best part was the spacious garden bar area which had lots of shade, a hut for the kids and was away from the main road.

We were recommended the restaurant by 2 moteliers, one from Waihi and the other from Katikati. Our Bacon wrapped Fillet Steak was fantastic and we have no hesitation in recommending Talisman Hotel.

Magnificent building,garden bar,service and food. I visited twice in 1 year- I do not live locally but my daughter and gdaughter do- and on both instances, delectable. Oh how I wish it was my local! Lucky Katikati. I look forward to my next visit. Great menu options also.Prices are fair for what one gets,quality etc. Photo is of the Fish burger, fresh Terakihi with Fries and sauce.$20.00 great deal for a main. And I am VERY fussy on fish. I highly recommend The Talisman.

What a lovely place to go for a meal. Great service, modern homely atmosphere, and the food is delicious. We could not fault Talisman in any way. Katikati is so lucky to have this Hotel and restaurant.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Talisman tonight. The service was fantastic and the food was incredible. The lamb rack was a taste explosion. Very impressed. The waitress overheard me say it was our anniversary and surprised us with some amazing chocolate brownie dessert. All together a really lovely experience. Highly recommended

Well worth the prices here for food. Exceptional quality. If you want a table you must book in advance (on Friday and Saturday dinner time) as they don’t have many tables. Have come here a few times and the food and service is usually on point. Courtyard seating is awesome on warm days!

Great to see after many years the carpark bought up to scratch, great job. Excellent food, had a fantastic filling value for money burger and there pull apart garlic bread looked delicious. Service only thing a let down. Quite flippant, no smiles. And lady on till wen paid to leave was rude and blunt. But great garden setting and atmosphere.

Would recommend. Have eaten here on multiple occasions, this place is excellent. The food is always up to scratch, and they offer a good range of gluten free meals as well. The staff are also very friendly and the meals are reasonably priced. Always a must visit when in Katikati.

My intimate luxury boutique hotel room was beautiful. Restaurant and bar extremely busy, definitely book before rocking up. Staff were attentive efficient and engaging but run off their feet. No wheelchair access as far as I know. I'd definitely go back.

Fantastic food and coffee in the restaurant. We called in here twice for coffee and a light lunch, both times the service and food were excellent ! The outside area is very comfortable and in very pleasant settings great place to stop off on your way through Katikati even if it’s just for coffee . I’m looking forward to having a main meal here one evening !

Great restaurant love to eat here tonight was no different however word of warning.. we have been in Katikati for a week we have been refused/told no table twice during the week today (Friday) we called to book a table at,around 10am and they only had 7:15pm available! Please book ahead and do not miss out on the great food (To owners save tables for walk ins)

A great local pub in the township of Katikati, includes TAB, gaming, large restaurant and cafe with indoor - outdoor flow and a large 'one way' carpark. An old but interesting building, well maintained and presented as clean and tidy with friendly helpful staff. Lovely food (good menu selection), great service without being all over you and a pleasure to drink or dine at. Highly recommended!

I have had dinner twice here now and I cannot rate it highly enough. The food is amazing! I can recommend the lamb shanks and I loved the sirloin steak - cooked perfectly. No one at the table had a bad meal. Lots of delicious desserts as well. Extensive menu, generous portions, great price, wonderful staff. Worth travelling to for a visit!

What a cool place. Although we didn't eat here the restaurant bar was so inviting it had this really hip chaotic vibe definitely will try next time through. The staff were so kind and attentive while I was waiting to check in I have never experienced this kind of customer service anywhere so kudos to them it was top notch. On a very busy night the service and food was good apart from the prawns in 2 dishes were over cooked and therefore tough. The duck meal was nicely cooked but for $40 was a rip off .one thin slice of duck breast about 80grams.overall prices are very high.

Stayed with friends in recently renovated rooms after fantastic Katikati avo & wine festival. Friendly & very helpful staff, comfortable rooms & great food - highly recommend it. In fact, month later took family there again for an anniversary Sunday lunch & couldn’t fault the staff, service or food - lovely afternoon & will go back again.
