This is my Local I go to when I'm back in kawerau. if you feel like cafe food that's decent and hearty the jive is absolutely the spot for you. Meet up spot with friends and whanau (family). Big dishes, hearty ingredients and cooked with love.

Environment is okay but what give this place 5stars are the food. They are delicious, reasonably priced and the portion is generously huge. Ordered English breakfast and cappuccino. The coffee is not bad.

Awesome service and meals to die for. The portions are huge so it’s great value for money. Was a little hard to find but well worth it once we did will definitely be returning here again and recommend this place to others

Jive, under new management, continues to do a great job. Today I was part of a 12 person meeting and luncheon with each person having a main course and drink while another group lunch was being prepared and the usual busy lunchtime rush was on. My steak was deliciously tender and from what I gathered everyone enjoyed their meals while the staff handled the pressure with aplomb. Thanks and congratulations.

Great friendly services. Mouth watering food and excellent presentation. More than my moneys worth. Would 100% recommend, they will centain to see me again on my next travel. Keep up the excellent work!

A surprisingly good cafe that cooks very good meals to order. Not posh but good solid food cooked well. Beware the large portion sizes! Coffee is good as well. Interestingly there is also a conference room at the back of the cafe.

Probably impossible to find if a local doesn't point you in the right direction but doesn't suffer from its out of the way, unsigned location with a steady stream of customers the entire time I was there. It serves a great breakfast and the blueberry muffins were divine - more blueberry than muffin.

Good spread food available and all made onsite.. blackboard menu and cabinet / counter food. Cosy quaint small Cafe on an autumn day I was here. Espresso was good 😊 Texian muffin and coffee did it for me.

Lots of parking. Nice staff. Lots of seating. Quiet area out back. No alfresco area. Front part can get busy and noisey at lunch time. Be great if they ooened for dinner
