J.Gone through several changes in ownership, current ones are serving up some very nice fish and chips.
Two visits recently, both times the shop is very busy which is a good sign.
S.Friendly service,kina,minced Paul,oysters and raw fish in the cabinet chiller if it isn't sold out as it is very popular and Whitebait too.Nice vegetable oil cooked food very little grease.I am impressed by how little the odors of fish are almost non existent approaching this Shop.Fresh fish daily.
P.New to this place I like the fish. I have only been three times. I got gurnard moki and terakihi respectively. Not overcooked. Last night I also ordered scallops. Nice to get the whole scallop, not a filleted version. Their hot dogs are yum. They had fresh oysters and mussels. Frozen kina also. I think these are as Patties.
You get asked if you want battered or crumbed, salt.
They have a basic range. Not too extensive. Also sell burgers.
The cleanliness and hygiene appears good.

We wont be going to any other fish and chip shop. Raw fish, kutae, and kina!!! Absolutely heaven!!! Top sercvice friendly as. A place to get a great kai for families... just awesome all around.
D.The best fish and hamburgers in town. Fresh melt in your mouth fish. Hamburger as it should be with fresh big meat pattie and salad. Very generous servings. Lovely lady owner caring about what she serves her customers. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Try it!

P.If you like beautiful fresh fish and crunchy chips this is the place you need to visit. Economical packs, fish nibbles and chips a great deal. My fav from now on. And lovely service to top it off.
V.Had crumbed hapuka. Beautifully cooked best fish I've had for many years. The battered fish was cooked just as well as was the really nice hotdog and potato fritter.
